- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
* B: S# Y5 `0 P9 Z% K3 { provide services for Chinese community2 t3 V: |0 q- r3 r( [3 P- H
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population 5 l8 r6 i8 W- s7 T% L% i
access to mainstream services1 Z. {& @! j" d" O
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of ! v) _) z% o- V( T: n
social services/ N) }- ]' v# R7 L) f
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
4 e* p. @1 u A4 j" n- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
P* {7 _8 ]6 I3 Q; [: Z- update ASSIST website: D) v" Y* f8 b5 n
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
1 h! u& y! e L- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
8 R* T2 \# M1 j: X' i% Y5 g7 _- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time' R& p6 R( `( z. l* p4 ^! W
- update membership database

Qualifications
, N, a; }: b* A& r' ^: s- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
4 N* `5 F) S& j/ } experience and education
! o( T3 s, ~' d4 H8 E& W- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
8 ~& d& O4 ]/ O) l. [- experience in community work and immigrant services
2 k$ J+ e& E7 Y& ~% i7 B; C! k- experience in website update/design
# D7 i$ {- T: R+ C- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
