Job Description

2 y, e7 T2 p# k% G( a provide services for Chinese community
) W0 o9 R/ c2 D* d6 y- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
8 }) k8 H9 {" c' P% m access to mainstream services
' T3 j' C4 a- _! B+ i" R- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
; B+ m' L2 c+ ~ social services
1 [7 _+ h% I5 M7 w8 a! ?- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
* f- `- {/ s. T& U( @ l/ Z9 K6 |- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members! m$ h- ?' t; u, n* A/ Q& r% ?
- update ASSIST website: A) ]9 U1 l8 h2 D
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre" B5 c; ^# I% I3 m% u8 r) t9 [. f
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services, @+ v4 ~! \6 ^* ^5 g) c5 A% G
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
& f, @/ j4 W9 f, f3 f/ S6 x6 B- update membership database
4 g8 U! \6 _* z. r- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications0 F0 c! h8 r' |5 v
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
6 z X% _ ~4 D) P( d7 P( g. r" W) L experience and education ( v0 u& y l& Y+ u
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
! t9 P$ C6 W) e' F0 z! f6 _) }- experience in community work and immigrant services
4 E% D. K3 ~/ _" ?6 I& f- experience in website update/design
, ]) s- l9 y. E, ^1 v. `- P- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
