Position title: Community Development Worker & W! Y5 `; e; a* Z8 A7 ?
Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to , Q4 D, V" F0 e; B) ~
provide services for Chinese community
- q6 ^* [+ `( v j* K- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population * t7 H3 L8 f& Y
access to mainstream services
$ @$ X; i& X9 W0 G; A. j/ E- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 8 D8 S, Q8 a' P! }/ F' v
social services( |! k; d4 I( Y3 h
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies, G+ V* l# [% x+ _* Y' l/ M
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
V4 c! Z) }. [4 f- update ASSIST website
9 [4 F4 ^3 L; ~" I4 o' x( Y2 y- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
5 E9 l O4 w' r2 v1 o r4 k- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
8 z3 C* K6 q! Q' G' J8 U- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
& X7 X: R6 H/ Y5 l experience and education j/ C' o7 |4 `3 Z1 ]; {4 ^, ^
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills( a2 Q8 g; \; S4 h! u: ~
- experience in community work and immigrant services
4 k @: V: r& R8 L' p* d& H* T- experience in website update/design
& p! e3 x3 P- N, B6 a- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset$ u5 i8 {+ C g l0 z; Q
