Position title: Community Development Worker

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to

- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population ' {2 n1 j. y6 a) P- f6 e
access to mainstream services
3 _+ Z% x* S8 b- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 5 l: i# ~; v6 p! h8 k1 j
social services
9 R( i- c" X' r( U$ Y2 ~+ W- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies- z( P7 }5 M: F7 H
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members- P; M. v/ z6 T/ T% l( L1 U
- update ASSIST website% z4 ^5 l- e% S1 C {
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

6 t. ^# a1 c6 z5 E- m; q% s, l- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
- k# V5 {) ]/ q1 w& n4 i experience and education 1 F( B- F# D3 K0 P: d. H3 o/ O( u9 B
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
4 _/ @; a) ^" H; H# ^$ f! l0 o- experience in community work and immigrant services! z5 z/ Y' n# w0 T! E
- experience in website update/design6 x& ^0 O. Z/ K+ G
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset8 i# i' q4 i7 X2 j e, m4 h
