Position title: Community Development Worker

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to + h4 o( o& h3 B9 i$ A" i
provide services for Chinese community
5 i8 t, t/ t2 K8 t' k4 [- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population 0 O; k; D' l) f( m$ D, \
access to mainstream services
. @3 h: k, r; E! I! d+ ^- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
; K* p7 ^# s: Q8 c2 N7 a; ?0 E social services+ _0 r$ W& R& |
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies7 I- Q0 M+ Y$ T7 Q
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- update membership database

Qualifications! |0 z8 T8 q6 g& Q
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of " m* Q4 `+ E3 m5 W* e
experience and education
' z% T. H3 I) n' ^- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
& e, u) r. ]$ @4 b0 t- experience in community work and immigrant services; b' X4 r) G9 Z( c* f2 g% [
- experience in website update/design
5 _# G( x5 _& M3 ]/ Z4 x- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset0 b0 M" N# @9 g- e( i! J
