Position title: Community Development Worker

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to + d5 U8 b" _4 U" ]! C1 I
provide services for Chinese community
# t: h$ `! w* L- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
% X. P5 l' Q( H! Y# n1 a' f access to mainstream services% f5 H1 |6 g4 d, H% T
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
! Z2 @- c6 r5 j2 m1 Y6 a social services9 e1 r+ u9 ]5 R, U
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
7 X, X9 s. L: x9 u1 S" l; ]/ g- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members! Z O- Q8 }; W9 Q6 q4 i
- update ASSIST website( E: j" ^8 H9 y. `. U. g- m! G
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
- v( M( H% y" b0 A% F) e- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services) z1 ~/ v! c7 ^) \: w* H I: l
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
4 z1 q* Z& f1 _/ [) L% Y- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
( C: M1 l) [+ l6 {; b experience and education ) b* |( Q9 V a0 G! |
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills+ N. ?- n; y4 n: Q% r
- experience in community work and immigrant services
; C9 a H- C% b. @$ O/ R9 v- experience in website update/design
