Job Description

' a# u; N, l/ U/ k provide services for Chinese community
k& b7 m: [' M( Y- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population / U* a7 P5 m& B U6 Z
access to mainstream services6 L j6 I h- g, P4 u# r" a
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 3 B" [! u7 l0 Q% ?: Q' t$ x
social services% N, {7 i: z. Q# _
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies: S, }, U {' y2 d0 a
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members: i3 S1 G+ n6 o* D
- update ASSIST website1 H; c- e; ]3 @+ k
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
% [8 F8 e& m9 _& W# H1 e7 q2 O, u" u) g- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of " S% n( K7 j& D$ m& ]) j4 i
experience and education / l( y* r5 q: J7 b9 q- \
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills" k7 B& {! V' [! Y! {3 T
- experience in community work and immigrant services
: x- h4 [. T4 d8 q8 G- experience in website update/design( o+ Z- I `/ J
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset+ k& C5 g% x1 ?# o1 _
