Position title: Community Development Worker

- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population 9 N4 P; D; m& b1 u* @% e2 [
access to mainstream services
( V% m( _$ |* d9 H9 I- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
; {/ s! O% T/ q$ S7 C; x social services
5 ~+ d% E6 [' h1 s4 m- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
s. @2 W% `4 C' e- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
) J4 `* Q! p5 _. t2 N- update ASSIST website$ e, i3 b- N' K$ K8 f
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
" B: S) z) D, |' h) V. W; ^- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
0 o# [* z( t* J3 y( o# [, r experience and education
/ |* _8 D0 {! n5 E' H- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
' n7 G/ A! U6 Y& V# {- experience in community work and immigrant services
1 }0 S# U% C& ^* x- experience in website update/design' k m/ a$ K6 h( h
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
