Position title: Community Development Worker

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to " N8 X3 L" h! E# f; `
provide services for Chinese community

- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of

- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
% A' Z* v/ p4 l) W. w# ~- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members0 z) V7 f' C2 e, q) \+ u% C
- update ASSIST website! P8 { V# ^, {+ A8 H
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
& d1 `: ~9 n4 j2 L- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services1 _7 Q4 R% S1 H, P
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time; ?/ D/ G! R% j9 I0 Y

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
! l6 A& }3 M y) {; h- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of ; F# x. ?) M2 n& _" k
experience and education
8 G+ v7 C$ Q6 V2 O. k. o: _- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
( e4 U x& ~* b3 I" C- experience in community work and immigrant services) ]5 b% g" O) H" D5 U) ?
- experience in website update/design
' ?6 Q% ?* k. J4 q- a8 W% k- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
