- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
/ H' U1 Z$ ]$ q: R5 @, Y provide services for Chinese community
6 C" {$ ~3 ]/ }8 q# w- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population : a) P, a; r" e4 ^" r
access to mainstream services$ b% Y* W) Z3 h& @5 ?) K
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of ' {# k/ N, j! s
social services# ^ c' q4 R# ~. h- B/ [
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
/ Y- i/ M3 D+ P+ E3 S! l- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members% R9 e" N$ ]6 I; \
- update ASSIST website! T* I; y- X1 A) A6 c, t
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
) ~+ Z5 V! a( A7 N) D: k% K) Y- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
+ n& O% L! S" Z- t( d- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time5 X$ ]. m- @% X' c7 y& | T$ O6 d
- update membership database; F2 q3 u& r ]
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
4 c2 D5 U- G9 p/ W: B- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
" W( S" u) m3 ^4 G$ B1 a3 l experience and education # g- t1 Y5 w. c9 U
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills. Y$ h9 B+ z4 o, O
- experience in community work and immigrant services
% ^' [% U3 h; ^' V6 ]- experience in website update/design3 e3 A& h7 [% D A
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset, k( \$ W% s8 r0 t- U$ ~. O4 r
