Position title: Community Development Worker

" X3 A/ i* C$ G+ U- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to 7 [$ m) _+ i% Z0 ~$ K# s: L
provide services for Chinese community. F: K; P: G. F2 I& D7 }' l( e
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
; r" |, J8 x7 {' R access to mainstream services) V* q2 x$ k; ?
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of ; g+ U. N9 _) o3 m' G3 _
social services
) J3 n+ _- g6 S8 b- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
" L3 V& v/ s* d8 W0 z) v- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
$ t: A) Q; H- T) O3 ]) D. X- update ASSIST website% \3 G/ x+ v5 W! [& | v
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
0 n& G& T- a( a+ L- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- update membership database

Qualifications' a; l! J; p2 b' v' a
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
# o4 [% E5 p3 D9 y$ i, r" V+ j2 B experience and education
/ J! w, G$ a3 P2 j [/ {% N4 W- good oral and written Chinese and English skills2 ~9 i @. K( D6 c
- experience in community work and immigrant services' p3 G/ Q# |: B( w
- experience in website update/design/ H1 s) w* }+ v
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
