Position title: Community Development Worker

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to 0 O- ]; U, l: {* _( u' ^
provide services for Chinese community4 u1 l& r. |( |! o" C4 W/ C
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
9 D# ^; a) i/ J4 U" l2 A access to mainstream services
5 v6 x8 A0 i: p w" I- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
3 M) U- E* x- a5 N7 x/ v social services' P1 ~5 m7 T& a2 p# w
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies7 F k8 ]6 I8 y; T1 i( E3 I
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

+ x, K+ g0 {. e- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of

: {: S5 q! o' J8 I4 N+ I* v- good oral and written Chinese and English skills' r! I3 @' u7 ?: g& U% @" B
- experience in community work and immigrant services* L* \' f/ c+ G
- experience in website update/design% u3 {! Z. d* w4 v/ ~
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
