Position title: Community Development Worker

& d- e K: h6 s2 U; h- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to

1 Z2 g" ~: _. a" O7 Z8 L- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population 4 I8 X0 F; W' A3 F! I, O
access to mainstream services w* E3 G- W9 ]( D
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of

# [: g/ p1 U' S, X2 z6 y- n- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies# l4 K$ _' R' M
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members/ m8 H: ]% o; I' Y
- update ASSIST website
: n s9 i1 n3 a' P+ r" p2 j- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre' W; _% O; G' V3 C5 D
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- update membership database V, [4 i y" S, b* o
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of

- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
, d! W6 U: F& ^- experience in community work and immigrant services
0 f9 t: s* `* X& j- experience in website update/design! E. P+ j! _$ h7 Z9 C7 p
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset% Y/ a. A* g; c+ t D7 o
