Job Description
7 a- x& ~, @! b3 Q. _3 h- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to " v H7 r! L1 n7 v7 h% U% G! U$ I8 ?
provide services for Chinese community
: r; ^7 r& h/ }' t' y* Q- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
6 d# o( p* n: _ access to mainstream services
( m- v5 t6 v+ ?1 s5 S9 q/ V+ r o) e- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
- c( }% `4 N# w3 d2 d0 E social services
: L3 x* ?' W" \, I- p- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
2 y y4 x8 M( I4 j3 l- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
8 P1 [9 {7 q# j: `; M- update ASSIST website
8 D0 F7 t, V; |5 h- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre0 w8 j, Z1 d: t! p
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services9 G: B! x' `& E. p0 G
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)% N D; y2 L( B. v! E) j

+ n0 { f: ^5 Y: O7 x/ r+ g- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of + A+ L6 }3 D6 p& a& y8 ]0 L
experience and education ( p( X; W" ]; L4 Q# ?& j
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills4 t f- z) f' n2 ^7 W* r+ ]
- experience in community work and immigrant services
j D% o7 W3 p R2 h- experience in website update/design* z$ Y) z$ T* A. z' C: X' E$ [ h
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset d+ }: r* L& \+ Z$ V3 |0 j
