- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
) U/ W* ]( c) I' A provide services for Chinese community! n4 W n8 ^8 e" m# d: k
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population ) H# {# j* K, l
access to mainstream services6 ]+ g0 j, a& D2 |
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
" T- j& P- M Y9 G) p social services, ~" c4 |6 o$ Z/ H$ y9 W
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
' E+ m: ^+ s- i7 O, {# d) @% \4 o- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members: D: \1 U: S5 j0 F9 i, u
- update ASSIST website% [) Z2 e7 |1 B: a2 h
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre8 D" C0 M: Z" H7 r9 v2 ~! ^3 a
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
& {- Y! ] Z" K1 G ^8 X( z- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time* l/ z" ]+ q4 V' }$ i
- update membership database6 e9 G* w. }7 B7 K6 U/ x
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications* j2 {( ~0 `, p
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
v; X2 U" M- \. Y6 @) b+ }, z5 f8 ~ experience and education D2 \! ?& r8 C
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills) d6 n) T9 l' O# R( P2 k
- experience in community work and immigrant services
0 p$ c$ U8 o6 X- J+ z! Y- experience in website update/design1 @7 p/ X z; g7 _3 H
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
