Job Description

5 V7 X* O; g* `! H4 D provide services for Chinese community* m/ b+ ]$ Z! ~+ I* t
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
) H% B, y% p% }. m+ z; W9 ~7 \1 u access to mainstream services
% s, X; d7 n2 M+ \) P. P# l- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
) K; n2 `0 |* E! n8 w social services
0 a) Q) n% k& z! n- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies1 F1 ?8 r8 h5 `2 {7 N
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members p6 z- G2 Z5 E* V$ R
- update ASSIST website
( f j1 q: P5 U4 z- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre9 n* Z& u* [ z, P+ k, Y5 D6 h# l
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
) w( r* i+ ^. Y. ? o2 U# u- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time' B+ r/ e3 e J
- update membership database

Qualifications
l8 I. d* J5 O( k- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of , V% o/ ~1 b8 o% o& s9 @
experience and education
}3 L- X( h- A( {. N- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
* Y9 Y7 H: u- b) X- experience in community work and immigrant services$ x3 h4 N9 k4 s; E/ C" P
- experience in website update/design
. a; ~5 J& e2 ~8 B9 ]- T- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset+ e! G1 v" e: J# U% n7 M
