Position title: Community Development Worker

- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population 0 ]$ m% Q2 z2 w$ ]8 T
access to mainstream services5 q0 h) ]* n- u( L* A) O' R" i
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
4 l5 E% \; E3 ]& O social services3 Y1 B% L2 }' b6 }$ H: `2 o
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies1 z% |# F8 }: ?% f8 n! s9 f$ R
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members5 y+ `3 c5 C% t. \( I+ `, ^( E
- update ASSIST website

- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
3 d' q, u) \9 Z; O- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of 5 Y: E/ g* l: l9 i C& U" h
experience and education 4 K* t2 g$ O8 L7 E5 L& z
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
4 k4 |% ~! e- V; ~2 E y- experience in community work and immigrant services5 w/ P' l* e7 {. i" j( U
- experience in website update/design
' F0 [5 N6 Q- W0 s. y* j3 {9 Y. ^9 N# _- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
