Position title: Community Development Worker
Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

* Q  V3 O. Q8 {' y) M# G-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
        provide services for Chinese community
, Q1 S4 [8 _) M6 U: U: f. H-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
& d% B. N- _/ t  I. L        access to mainstream services
3 o' `! t/ u7 m! v3 c# i4 B9 ]  v, N-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
        social services
' H+ Q" c; e7 y' C1 l8 o, }2 t- F-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
* w; l5 Z2 a; \: Y/ C-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
-        update ASSIST website
# ?4 ^# G- |  |0 {-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
% p2 e! s" K1 z0 u+ d4 G) }-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

7 c. A& J" {$ c; K& y( F-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

$ s- D. |* B8 ^) \- |-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
' a$ g+ Z. N' C, V        experience and education
-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
-        experience in community work and immigrant services
-        experience in website update/design
9 g0 e: ^3 y8 z  S-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
