Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

: B2 G; g- U' ]9 W provide services for Chinese community
" m1 d3 h) U! `) Q( ]- w; g% \- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
$ K& [- B8 A0 }' w8 u! p8 j5 d access to mainstream services1 L2 i9 I( j3 a# M, m& `
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
) Z+ w# H" d/ `+ Y$ ^; V social services3 O$ G" @ I c: F3 V
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies8 x2 b6 W: t4 p, d) m' M. N
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
4 R3 g# ^9 v5 M3 t- update ASSIST website

- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services) i- n& \' G" n9 r
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

Qualifications3 u4 o' _( i0 {4 W
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of / c: B% s+ L+ g5 g- Q' G- U) e2 U
experience and education
& p) Q5 l# |, P0 C- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
, ]) k3 H) z1 _& q- experience in community work and immigrant services' n* b6 M7 J! v8 @/ g+ _5 W; p) H
- experience in website update/design
$ Z1 `( O4 y! b1 Z- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
