Job Description
2 x7 y2 l. C+ G% |8 t7 G! K- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
9 _/ r" ? u/ c) t+ F6 l3 x2 ` provide services for Chinese community7 ^) R/ |9 F7 S) T8 Z7 M" n
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population 5 M/ z b; m( V( t. ]" | A
access to mainstream services9 a8 {/ @2 a. v; ]5 k
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 5 P: j: @; e/ o* `* F& D1 P
social services* }" f& X+ s1 w4 m$ n
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
& T. ^% S7 U4 f2 H9 Q- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members& v \3 u. `; ^: O9 _ ]
- update ASSIST website. @5 K6 S& J: g0 p" w, Y( }
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre" v. d& I/ ]# e
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services8 [5 ]5 j' V, q6 X& }; x7 t$ ?
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

8 N/ u9 T3 a3 R+ E7 |+ m- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
. L% w" @+ j \- o- o experience and education
- b. g( y% E, P, m- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
3 n6 V8 z4 B0 C6 C( D) m- experience in community work and immigrant services" s5 w% @" Z+ D9 ~
- experience in website update/design' K7 V6 Z1 E& S; W# X$ v) j9 B
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset3 m3 A, g# y, z7 T
