Job Description
0 S5 G5 j; f; b; T! @- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to J1 _% i0 {7 a+ _1 L+ V( J# f6 R
provide services for Chinese community
+ n4 S( D2 }7 @( n- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
! \* M( v% i$ n2 l$ z$ R$ r3 { access to mainstream services
0 @0 J; Q& H( |# P- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
3 Y6 ?6 T) `3 K8 ~1 y1 C8 _ social services
4 W, W* t; h( @7 |$ e3 o- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies& ^5 V& R- _) d8 Y
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
2 J& S+ N. w# N2 Y j- update ASSIST website
; N3 M Y9 G; i( t7 w- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre" I4 b* c3 m+ d2 M( h
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services' Q0 a' e% u l) k C
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time L( c8 f" y5 s2 s. {4 R! F5 w
- update membership database2 c+ r9 r7 b% v1 w: X/ w
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of 1 P8 b* e5 Y7 Y) K
experience and education + P" ?) N$ r& F( y
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
; i/ O8 y+ ^. U4 i6 w% D$ V6 T, q E. v- experience in community work and immigrant services
, P( _9 L5 R* h& u# n! v" o: j- experience in website update/design
! {3 f2 w0 j9 I- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset4 I) @+ d3 o- q! {4 E. W1 ]5 j
