Job Description
$ E; a. c2 s/ P0 u1 u" c! m- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
3 | S7 U5 ^# t provide services for Chinese community
! J# F- b7 p) p5 d; w- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population : ^6 @5 O: Z. z
access to mainstream services- K( p- j }4 O- {0 b! V5 M
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
- [% {: n3 [: z& K& q, k4 e social services
: ]+ b7 T* _$ ^9 M" t- J3 _- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
, w( b: k. t0 u3 ^- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members8 R* F* f4 ^- J' q, o3 N! x
- update ASSIST website! w7 V4 J4 L4 m# f- q
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
% k) {( y% a6 l% n4 g/ y- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services, f) L. I; }: G+ h! v3 n
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time" m1 O! u( D2 T9 J/ j6 A
- update membership database3 P3 S1 r! v. X& Q9 S5 `0 b
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

0 v" ?0 U; o WQualifications/ ^0 L) o% U% R# ^5 `( l/ @
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
% G% Q8 R5 y f2 E% F( v/ m# s experience and education
6 T& j% [7 h# ~% ]5 k- good oral and written Chinese and English skills' ]2 z; p; _! y% _" D) c0 B
- experience in community work and immigrant services
' g. r3 v- {3 u$ d: [- experience in website update/design
4 w, Y, H; l% ]' d- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset7 B0 V2 ?. L0 f7 q) W
