Position title: Community Development Worker
" U/ q2 S* L' o9 KTerm: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
( p+ ]' Q# S3 v. I8 Z5 F  r        provide services for Chinese community
. e0 ]+ }* q$ Q1 |1 {6 K- C-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
        access to mainstream services
- j! Y+ S2 t# Z- w. u( c-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
% ^! u9 ~. \2 k; L        social services
-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
-        update ASSIST website
-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
-        update membership database

-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
8 H6 M: I1 I6 Z; g( @, z  f. e        experience and education
-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
-        experience in community work and immigrant services
; f# @; g, {: `  W# |; I-        experience in website update/design
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
