Job Description

provide services for Chinese community
+ s' ^. x$ L4 A8 _: w- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population 6 z& Q7 }% t( j1 Q. L7 n- n
access to mainstream services5 {- l& c/ w9 `) d6 B; F
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of ! F0 k3 b: u. z2 k+ h# g$ \
social services
2 v( a" c4 m4 \/ K2 |- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies& W& B7 Q" d8 S/ E% @' M& R
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members* I% a+ k6 T) @( W$ d' Y3 k
- update ASSIST website- r# E: ` [8 [3 w B' W3 }& J
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre- O' C5 \) M, {! ]" @
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services+ u2 I }% H- D7 e
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time$ L/ h+ [ z4 h( ^0 m1 H
- update membership database
9 J+ ?. B7 V& x. D2 W5 [9 Y/ {- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications- b# `2 q/ Z/ T/ f
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
3 U2 P$ t( a k o5 N" g) \ experience and education # `1 B! x1 _1 `5 r" z
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
* \7 s: C* m$ X* A6 R- experience in community work and immigrant services
, s! x" C' k6 i- experience in website update/design
/ e$ D/ m) ~$ E' D; {/ w8 ~: o- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
