Job Description
' E6 g; `" Y. P- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
F# L! o# c2 E% I, F6 W provide services for Chinese community
8 [2 z) e$ Z- N. F" {7 ?- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population

/ [" T- O+ Y8 u; w: P/ W1 o. U- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of ; |0 n) k9 u1 v& j& E2 V
social services
& h* ~" } B0 `2 R, @& e- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies) J" g/ p- [1 x8 S* p# X) l
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
" v1 U9 d, O- _0 a R- update ASSIST website9 h3 d% R2 C# k7 H$ p. r; X0 w) P
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
- Q j u4 G6 {" G- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services5 j( b* R9 r8 K& ]$ ?( f
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)" D h8 P$ E: u N

Qualifications) `+ A; P/ n, B. ]
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of * D' l- g o. q" a7 _; S
experience and education 0 d# P- ^! _; |( z0 O4 `& _9 t
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
6 j% F$ @; X: E! ^- experience in community work and immigrant services$ ]9 Q. I. f0 r5 q. ~$ `/ X
- experience in website update/design
- j% A! \2 L) |* ?- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
% d; z8 m; k# g; M7 w e& S5 f) Y ]& k7 ?7 m x, `6 j# S) G6 e
