Job Description
8 E5 A4 P0 a1 Z0 v; c: J- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to " c" A2 J" s9 j! B1 p9 \" T
provide services for Chinese community* o# w) c" O, `6 |4 }8 i
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population ' j$ R7 i; X& e# d
access to mainstream services8 j) e3 h& h0 B/ {" ], ?
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
% V# c y3 v. _# }# P social services
* I/ b1 {) A+ ~- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
5 ^+ R# r) K y) ~7 F, @' B- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members( n M* P! X) c: H" ]8 ]
- update ASSIST website' A2 b4 ~6 `# M9 I0 @0 F, H c: D5 |
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre+ d8 w3 s3 K3 }2 U& p i
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
1 y4 `( Z1 p+ ^- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
$ }( u' P ]) [& i- update membership database
) p5 z7 c! W U& l: p$ x- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications" S! o, F4 e" x
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of ' Z4 p5 ]& c3 \! ~, x L$ \% a
experience and education : {% u3 m! H1 C
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
! e1 {* `. Y6 h B" E+ M- experience in community work and immigrant services
) k# x/ H, t; I3 T1 r# Y( a- v! S/ I- experience in website update/design
( o% c8 W' r6 q; V- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
