Job Description

- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population ! q1 h5 H" o1 @ h% M L1 s
access to mainstream services
1 J- _0 D7 b3 T& A- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of ! I9 E/ s( B: ^) N. Q ^& ?0 U
social services# f! w$ I( U! i p" }
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
C; Z" I4 k5 q) u# R. v- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members" C$ l* d' K" U5 [5 k% H% r- }
- update ASSIST website
3 X2 e% W7 S3 A( ^9 S- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre0 y# y: ]1 Q6 u/ d
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services. U/ d3 ~# m- j5 N; `; J5 R
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of * N0 W. h0 V5 T, I$ a$ t
experience and education
2 ^: J' J/ X) W% _. u2 h. p- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
6 l% t, B9 _2 b- experience in community work and immigrant services
/ _/ N5 p% J9 O4 ?5 c5 G- experience in website update/design/ ?5 g6 K6 a# o, F7 D$ A- B B
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset2 w. i' d7 X* _( {& { |! C" P; K
