Job Description
7 t; L5 { G) X- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to / j8 T. Z4 [4 b8 J+ Q6 d
provide services for Chinese community& B- x8 [4 m7 \/ p8 G9 K a: j, `- D
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
# X3 V: x/ ~5 l8 r& f access to mainstream services
" l; W. m$ T6 ]& n# T9 R- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
7 P& Z6 W% b1 V d4 ? social services
0 x$ B4 v* P+ U- ]3 g% e/ G0 h- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
( K" C% z3 |* ^1 c- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
2 R0 |4 ]8 K% n" X0 g+ v: h9 c5 s; o9 K- update ASSIST website% M' `2 [% H" B+ D; c( r0 _
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre6 u, T/ y2 t5 V7 Z9 w7 Y
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
- X* b. S! i& `4 g) D- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
/ ]) D/ n2 n. t9 A+ C- update membership database* d( x" A/ Z/ c) q5 E8 q
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications2 ~1 ]# c% O7 v8 ~
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
8 D/ B' \5 }7 ~; U) z* ^ experience and education
1 T" b! ^. z* t- E9 d( C- H- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
8 v* U- J9 [! g; i' J- experience in community work and immigrant services
+ X6 d' B3 d5 [/ @+ } Y- experience in website update/design! f' N/ [1 l" {+ X* |
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
