Position title: Community Development Worker

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to 4 N6 y( V! a. _0 F- g! F/ g
provide services for Chinese community5 r$ G1 z4 _; }# i% z
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population & ?7 _" j! }8 O7 m- I. _
access to mainstream services
6 }, s& S5 D7 d9 Z: C: U' S1 Z8 ?- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
, ?/ p: Y: H# }! z) @& N1 Z j2 v social services# B* \# K- ~4 u9 ?, g2 @# n: h
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
& B E) A* j3 I1 [ m+ S, o- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members5 ^3 x9 X% G0 \; ?
- update ASSIST website
2 D* C. [( l$ h6 Z5 h* A& c- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time( v8 d/ N) ?6 [! K6 [+ I5 w
- update membership database
) J, O! a: Q. r- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

experience and education
8 `/ t: D/ {0 y/ ~- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
. @: f0 z( B( `9 @2 e% V- experience in community work and immigrant services" V6 F6 i# v4 D' ]8 G* U
- experience in website update/design
; X6 l0 H' z1 A& |- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
