Position title: Community Development Worker

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
$ h2 E6 T6 D) U7 ?5 Q6 E provide services for Chinese community8 o+ f; P) `! L# h/ ^. N
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
/ U/ N8 b V5 W0 O3 B access to mainstream services
' e. p# M5 d( g$ U' q- R8 ~+ D- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 9 q( q. a( g* o# ^9 P
social services
; T( n: e) U/ g- m0 `- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
) \# H2 J1 E3 M) W( {+ N- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members0 r# S0 |8 m9 G+ j1 P! J
- update ASSIST website
" j( F5 U7 f' Y- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of 6 ^% _; V; R8 S$ h: m
experience and education
# t/ K( r; K- ]! L2 h4 P- good oral and written Chinese and English skills" D3 j* W: L8 |. M
- experience in community work and immigrant services7 R* _8 p1 W% B( s- Q' R5 j3 f% D$ P
- experience in website update/design
) w" Z8 L M: l K% b& w7 U5 z% t- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
