provide services for Chinese community
- U# T$ M5 I: G- }' b+ V- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
; h( ^5 ~* x7 Z& r8 U; \ access to mainstream services
4 u& _6 t. s) h. ~! H8 `3 K; R- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of * ]* Q4 Y0 j7 r" v
social services3 e) j# g" Z% t
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
" d6 k& C2 g- O% Y0 R- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members( ~/ K! L7 P- y: A- y3 [
- update ASSIST website. F& B4 c9 [! n1 C; z2 e
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
$ x5 o/ z& u7 W: g0 y- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services+ D& ?$ Z7 c. p$ J% _# Z( }
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time: l2 [+ J& _0 K$ j
- update membership database
, d6 l6 o: f6 w3 C7 e- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications8 m. n0 h% S2 Z# I) C/ q
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
5 K, H9 K. w" }9 b- ~2 o. j experience and education 4 O' Z: ]6 | }1 v& {
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
) {; i5 ?" C, m- experience in community work and immigrant services3 c" Z# }' P5 Z
- experience in website update/design
/ Q. ^% b, T* Q; v- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset# k4 T! X5 q3 r! R4 }5 D
