Position title: Community Development Worker

- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
$ u6 i- Y( O) X) k access to mainstream services
5 u. S; i$ B, x# U' F: A( t- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
5 P: v$ M! s& a social services
0 F$ b3 P8 v! y) n( {" A- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies, Z, @( r6 a+ g9 p+ @/ M# z* v" B
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members2 T+ D5 f/ h/ [) w0 z
- update ASSIST website

$ t. q+ o, S5 S- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- update membership database

Qualifications
6 L% @& r6 l$ _! ^ _8 @- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of l& G4 }/ ?$ f7 z" d3 K. D3 H( D9 {
experience and education
8 Q0 g' c+ o2 f8 Q( u- good oral and written Chinese and English skills+ h5 s9 T- T1 } n9 F9 f
- experience in community work and immigrant services
! C- Q3 U# c0 n' |, p; j- experience in website update/design
; M5 X# X! c, C- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
