Job Description
/ R( X! B1 f, X8 X* n- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to ( X3 E( L) P0 x+ [& T
provide services for Chinese community
( b/ @; J, S4 @- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population % ], ^8 H, E. N! j4 S
access to mainstream services
( @0 e9 P! \8 I) O$ M- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
( t( F+ X- P* z ]% Q social services2 o1 [, L8 R4 Z8 T7 [9 R# ?
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
1 ]0 _4 V5 k$ y. R1 @6 C/ b& H0 r7 ?- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
' k% d5 `, r, f2 q# H C8 v) X- update ASSIST website
% `4 ?' i6 _' b4 j( ]6 K- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre9 u/ ^, h" ~- h7 j+ c* p2 H2 u3 F
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
5 D, f0 ?) `% `$ a- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

Qualifications) Z5 z! R9 n J: B3 V
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of 8 |0 W4 \: G g& l- ?1 U
experience and education
" ]8 u: \) T$ v2 i) [/ Q- O/ a0 D# b- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
' J. M; w- Z, ]& H5 p- experience in community work and immigrant services. S6 a O, f4 K# ]9 b$ o
- experience in website update/design
3 G' |" E- q7 N" a! M" I- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
