Position title: Community Development Worker

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
; ^, ~/ p# ^' { m* _$ G provide services for Chinese community X4 `8 g4 o' {4 O) I% e. X
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population + a) I* X+ H* ^# F. |! m. t+ K4 ]7 H
access to mainstream services
2 N) E$ e* }' _0 G+ p- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
2 Z. ^' E) K4 f' c9 [" {- A social services7 U* F0 x( j8 v; [" t1 Q
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
( s* Z2 C8 `" Z2 V& a3 i, W4 \0 P- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
3 V9 Y: i% c3 M7 g- Z- update ASSIST website, o1 g" I1 L" [% a% o! [( _, i* V4 w
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre- I$ c7 a: m6 X6 f1 N# W* f2 ]6 U
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- update membership database

& M! N: j0 ~1 b- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of 9 T, i2 }5 u% A9 e/ a
experience and education 0 @* O6 j# D! @
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
6 f% v4 A$ x5 Y" V# E3 y- experience in community work and immigrant services+ |9 ?0 ]4 Y2 V9 C" H
- experience in website update/design1 M5 u8 m! |3 o+ @: ~" M' `+ A" @
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset/ \3 t* c# F" S" Z8 D3 [
