- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
/ S# ^9 a N1 E, V% Y) R: L provide services for Chinese community
/ d7 g& g" r7 q/ `- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
6 z( R; |. Q6 b+ P7 F access to mainstream services
4 e" d* a/ }: ]6 z. `$ _5 y- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of q0 ]3 b% o1 S
social services
0 o& G2 O) d, e- w: o' n- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
) X8 J8 Y( P8 D# L) A: z+ b- i; l- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members C2 [1 R% ^2 }, W- E! |
- update ASSIST website

- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- update membership database

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of 3 j) w* `! s1 R& p: }
experience and education
/ @% S& A( t% P2 R) u- good oral and written Chinese and English skills* q+ I* S4 A' C! ]
- experience in community work and immigrant services7 F' l* b; ?" v9 ?% G) q0 h+ ?7 M. k( M
- experience in website update/design& _$ w9 o3 a a E I7 h
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
