Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
5 S: ?7 D9 z1 K) R provide services for Chinese community, r! C7 \3 S9 M2 |' C C
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
+ A) h2 G& I2 | access to mainstream services* p" b3 |& z+ i) ^0 d5 @" n
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
2 J) i9 Y" p6 s8 p: F! |9 k social services
' X/ b7 r4 k& u8 u7 q* ~- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
0 r: x" G% F, B! _- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
8 w/ J( G4 g5 u! ]- update ASSIST website
; W9 Y% T' f5 N9 _/ g2 }, t4 N' d- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre8 i+ t1 [3 a& X8 O) Q) h
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services# L) U1 x0 L2 L* Y. ?
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time. G% V" k" @/ k1 z
- update membership database

Qualifications
+ x7 s8 I# v5 Z4 b' g4 N- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
9 u; c" G4 @2 J+ n5 o! y experience and education
! z+ U, N# x. o$ d- good oral and written Chinese and English skills2 U2 [& {( Z1 K, { [' P
- experience in community work and immigrant services P |* N! M; v/ ?8 g1 B$ l9 m/ v5 j* d
- experience in website update/design
" w7 I. i' c$ S9 L$ q3 C- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
