Job Description

- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
% T1 s2 P9 W6 V# n0 u access to mainstream services
7 W1 r; R% z4 E7 r& ]$ ]1 y- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of & Z- u; ?1 s! t/ P( i5 @
social services2 `# Z# O! k; J8 s: k. p, l# m1 @ \
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies3 Z& D" i6 D+ K$ x
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
' W, D& L0 P, O/ H* t- update ASSIST website
, r3 }% C1 f' t6 k$ T: n4 I5 D- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre5 I) g. h/ u% r( ?% J
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services8 N/ ]: k/ m- f4 }8 \
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

4 H/ J! e& w1 j4 I: IQualifications
; @, G, j" O6 y( G$ Y( {- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of 7 \0 G ^+ C/ W) `9 c
experience and education $ }& f" @6 E) g
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
- r, V; k: h* H5 e- experience in community work and immigrant services
( l$ Q+ N" `3 ?2 b U- experience in website update/design
3 {9 D( p. `* l! l# R- J- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
! }" M5 c ?$ j. h |3 K7 ?2 T" C! M( Q/ n; n0 [* N8 K; L5 E) l
