Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
$ A% a+ z, o- U provide services for Chinese community9 K7 _1 u2 w9 r0 e1 Z
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population & X2 k k3 \# k" r6 }3 L
access to mainstream services
) ^; b' M+ O! V/ z# ~1 I- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of ( e' r% y! P# b; ], ~" ~
social services
2 z* C6 f& v# g$ k. k- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies! x( c/ Z4 N5 d. k7 ^9 g; p
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
& q/ b0 S: A# V8 y2 e- update ASSIST website# _$ K/ W# k' q9 J3 s1 I! G
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
* `+ l$ q" A( K% Z, o- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services1 S+ l8 U- y8 D6 G
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

8 f0 t+ V! Z5 ]3 {" V, W8 c' ]# ^- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of 8 |5 B" `7 A3 }# h* v4 d3 W4 M
experience and education $ Q8 T" U, z6 o% ?( G! b. o
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
! g+ j" [* i2 n, ?1 @5 O- experience in community work and immigrant services; i% C2 B T/ {% z' i$ a& Y
- experience in website update/design4 u. T8 V* O3 c+ G
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
