Position title: Community Development Worker
. Z* i# ^$ v" L+ [: O' @6 o, h  {Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)
Job Description
( x) H1 D( [; f, k0 V3 J-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
        provide services for Chinese community
-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
: V- Z* B5 Z) L0 W5 \9 ?        access to mainstream services
, h" |5 i/ N' h-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
        social services
-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
% f% f: U' Z+ y5 _6 k: N, \-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
-        update ASSIST website
/ U# w4 ?; G% ?' w-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
* w$ u( k) ~7 l9 Z. }8 c7 F-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
-        update membership database
-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
! J! U( I" ?; ?, j-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
/ W+ M) Y1 |7 ]/ |. T        experience and education
/ S# n, k( J3 H-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
( I) ^/ M7 L8 p- j" _  P5 F0 v/ I-        experience in community work and immigrant services
-        experience in website update/design
+ D8 S9 C- I; R9 J-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
