Position title: Community Development Worker

provide services for Chinese community! @# B% D ^! l) n; D
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population 6 t+ k; O% R" k
access to mainstream services
, Q0 l% X: C3 I, Y+ Q8 ]- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 1 c% F8 f6 S, Y( s' t7 K2 s; ?

- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre9 e4 |- K4 F3 J! C T, @- M" h
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services4 ~! Q* n R P
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time n' m% s7 g; }

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required): u" s8 h( r+ n0 p! s5 Y4 X/ \. I% n( U

7 Z; H* a; C8 `3 {1 y/ }- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of # C8 W/ d, _7 T" o/ s
experience and education
5 P2 }' r; V. i N7 Y- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
* x, \/ w m# D5 e+ ^; q+ L1 ^/ w- experience in community work and immigrant services5 C! g# F6 h# m4 f
- experience in website update/design( M5 y2 |! c! M4 v+ H, P' |
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset1 n4 B! K9 u$ G4 `
