Position title: Community Development Worker
/ ?' E' B$ N% mTerm: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

& p! R$ `( ^; z1 H/ x- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
7 X- v1 U/ U+ @ provide services for Chinese community
* w+ G3 G! p6 ^( T; O( ^- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
1 d c" H0 Q- e" _% }: R9 U access to mainstream services
1 O8 Q- p" B% S" w- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
* z- h# d( k" ~* O& j social services( I+ x2 Q2 g8 B, R. ~+ T
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies* ?8 a3 {4 _) i/ e5 f
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members& J) A, ?) M1 J3 @5 B4 X7 M5 `
- update ASSIST website* x; Y6 [4 l6 Y' F2 M# H% F0 ~
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of ) t8 |& I/ [ `0 c1 G4 P) r

- good oral and written Chinese and English skills) G6 b1 _' r7 j% v3 }# B! w
- experience in community work and immigrant services! z( h/ b6 ]4 j: g7 k% o
- experience in website update/design
) n% @* R- Y8 A" u, {! c* x% T' ?- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
