Position title: Community Development Worker

2 f( l1 Y8 p0 L- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
4 s2 e+ G6 g' ]7 W& p H provide services for Chinese community( q/ @( \; u$ C: o# R
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
& s1 `3 [: K% k. Y; q9 a access to mainstream services s; b7 H; ~9 s x
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 3 G- Y2 H$ H& R! @5 P# ]2 b
social services
8 K' k1 Z% @' X2 i$ k# l( O- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies" V2 f9 l( C7 u( `, Y
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre7 I7 V9 l; {# S, T/ r
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
6 r9 i+ `8 L: r- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

Qualifications
# [: E6 @7 G) p/ q- W. q- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
5 O* p& J! N3 `5 Q! @8 s experience and education
; m+ K2 O7 ]4 n- n- good oral and written Chinese and English skills( U. {% r0 v$ p3 Y5 {
- experience in community work and immigrant services5 V! B8 x& W8 [& k4 a4 w
- experience in website update/design
' S M, R, j$ Y5 T3 @3 n- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset' K- N$ G$ W7 e2 T5 ^- F
