Job Description
4 }; p& O$ D" Z6 G6 p R7 K# P- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
1 A; ?7 d0 D6 n, E" B* {2 F, ^ provide services for Chinese community3 J# y, u8 I6 L! E% K g
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population ; ?0 v1 o( Y; d) l- u" v
access to mainstream services
3 d# c+ f w& E3 y0 A- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
7 j- F! J5 T$ g [! E, \ social services3 R y+ f b3 R
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies$ n5 F% R6 n# h# ?1 C% O- H
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members Y* `. J7 u' y) M4 @
- update ASSIST website
# v& _6 ]; o$ \- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre& v$ Y- f- K2 A2 E
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
& H; W- s" P7 O5 a: h- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time3 I$ d+ v4 Z& s# B7 r* f% t- d' K
- update membership database
0 } ?& l/ n3 {4 @- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)+ n% H( \+ a+ Q5 l ?

Qualifications
* }& a. W0 a& \, a2 I- n- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of ' J/ T6 O8 h) R5 G; l
experience and education
# r6 w4 X1 d) f8 n- good oral and written Chinese and English skills; ^$ x2 V/ D9 K% Z& I( U7 j
- experience in community work and immigrant services/ M+ [$ d B8 O' f a
- experience in website update/design5 ?- | o6 Y. J5 g
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
