Job Description
/ k3 A+ u+ h: F& T5 z# {' S- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to 4 N2 b; T: s, @( o( D
provide services for Chinese community' ~+ v" F# j2 U. ]5 c
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population 8 u& T# b. i4 I& T" [& o" p
access to mainstream services
1 _6 f T& r8 A4 V1 M- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of ' C+ F. ]5 z; G7 y0 k
social services' l% i! P: A; n* q: ?$ o
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies( N: [) E' R( w+ I6 O
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members+ X+ m7 a% _. `+ q+ X$ @3 j
- update ASSIST website% Z q* `7 p4 {3 Y) T4 x$ C1 s
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
6 l+ J8 E9 V8 i( z- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services8 v) }0 J$ k+ I( ~
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
/ x! r; }! P4 c5 E- update membership database
3 f @- I7 K' X1 a! S/ H: z8 L- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications: d( _- {1 E/ J- o' k
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of / W6 q* D O$ C# g
experience and education
+ U. r; M. ]% D) H- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
- x! Q8 J7 M' t, a6 r W- R9 T- experience in community work and immigrant services5 Y6 o ~! z/ _" A# N
- experience in website update/design
* i, a! u% h( f1 }% I- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset2 L; }! @1 G+ y9 o2 n' P
