Job Description

provide services for Chinese community
, L0 @4 `, o! O' J& H8 z% V- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population * b d, X+ f) U, L e$ f
access to mainstream services% ]! G5 s( I; V' C1 ~6 e
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
9 @% {( g4 Y. ^4 o* g! `) a& q social services+ ` [9 }$ _2 R: U" R4 J) l" I
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies; o' F5 |9 J" S2 D: i2 s
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
& ?: \, N" R) d8 D* C. A) i, o5 F- update ASSIST website
O% z# G( d# s4 K( }$ \- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
H- l3 y% `) |9 N9 C7 \ `- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services& c2 a: ]' L2 t
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

Qualifications# J3 {) i5 u" T* x
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
: v) n ^1 A. f2 x: P; } experience and education
1 U! g0 b" ]% Q6 ^. o1 }- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
! a8 r; j! L! E$ ~% \% m- experience in community work and immigrant services/ H; L" [7 r, F* g0 i
- experience in website update/design
& S7 ~' s2 {6 h% `+ [& ?- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset0 \) W: k! l( e j8 C
