Job Description
3 s4 U: N' \4 h5 l' R( k! P- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to * y+ V+ m, ?5 g4 Q
provide services for Chinese community' I2 J- ~- n3 |' G3 g0 J
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
! Z( ?! I" [) S9 d* w, o. O access to mainstream services
2 k' w- y6 P; T' i _- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of % L; s, g! j* @- y/ @! w
social services& u3 s2 h$ S! }* N Z$ P
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
* C# a z& d, n+ T: D% c3 ^- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
- G5 u3 d& q0 @/ C- update ASSIST website
8 y& ~) Q8 n* O: ?+ K" v1 a5 X Y# k- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre3 J" f/ |. y6 y' Q; o- I! a
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services" ^0 }* g. W, U; t1 y& w
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time3 Y% i/ u9 u: Y# E$ u. j2 d
- update membership database

Qualifications' e8 @! C' q' m. O% I8 P) @1 J
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of 6 U C# y1 z* A0 t5 x
experience and education
8 k- _; w+ K7 T8 G( y. Z$ J6 r- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
' d1 o4 M) S% v- experience in community work and immigrant services$ {& o1 r9 U' c/ `
- experience in website update/design
% H6 c& V. W, u) _- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset0 |! o* V4 I/ `' b" a6 m6 d
