Position title: Community Development Worker
Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)
Job Description
" S8 S: q7 N6 M3 ~% x! C: m/ ?6 C/ E-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
        provide services for Chinese community
1 ?" V( D: i5 J, u' i$ C& [-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
        access to mainstream services
" t7 f% {5 b2 ~4 C0 B2 B) C-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
        social services
0 c- V! A2 |7 Y/ E1 n-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
8 m) g8 G: ?: ~4 |; _5 z-        update ASSIST website
" k0 _% _" T8 u7 s! }-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
-        update membership database
& [+ o* _( I4 V8 Y- |1 z. `! _-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
8 z2 h% X2 \9 R9 `: K-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
        experience and education
; B8 ?% H3 X/ Z( X; T7 f% z-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
6 Z6 e8 G6 G' k, Y9 {$ s-        experience in community work and immigrant services
-        experience in website update/design
6 {* p7 g1 s6 X8 z% R-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
