Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

provide services for Chinese community! |& k8 i1 ?; [3 ~2 m3 p- v/ V* X
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
% ]2 x: n/ V H" C( t access to mainstream services; s* M/ F' X: f
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of , R9 b1 m3 c9 A3 P, a0 g
social services; ]: E t& S* w
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies2 H' I* H3 l; j l" R8 Q% f
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
! D0 }2 u8 M* |5 h4 Y. z. z- update ASSIST website' E3 A, y* s& b% U
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
; o5 T' i8 E' Q. ?8 c4 S% u2 G- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
7 {$ O! z b7 y5 b( i- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)( q' E% p5 V2 s

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of ( ]3 g& I2 l( E5 _
experience and education + m5 b( a/ {8 ~( Y$ W/ O/ r
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills( q+ g% s- m- l0 I* V! Z
- experience in community work and immigrant services
! D( D1 W! }& k$ H* S; M& Q- experience in website update/design
6 l3 v; \0 g+ _0 F% Z- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
