Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to ( ]; A# }" t: M0 _( K3 v
provide services for Chinese community
; p' ~7 ?% \+ _6 c7 ?! E- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
" M% o7 }7 a6 A* A8 x access to mainstream services
$ M* d( N- t/ k/ X, F$ {- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of

, X3 B! q& s& p9 d- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies9 K6 E* a9 C, v# V2 } Y
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members9 s7 H7 n! `0 R
- update ASSIST website7 ]2 E+ ` Q, T1 T' B) ?$ P$ U; [
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre& c( p$ w9 d0 `; b2 Y+ Y; I+ V3 R
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services( |3 O6 D. B7 K- |# C9 ~
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time2 s2 z: A, T* ]1 g' ^3 X2 R! N
- update membership database
& J( x- f/ n0 t4 |- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications- O, o% g$ [- X# ]8 G
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
% G3 @& g1 i# V9 i2 ~4 k7 } experience and education 2 I/ I! V+ K0 A1 e% ]3 p
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills5 {0 I7 B4 {' M( P$ C" ~$ X1 W
- experience in community work and immigrant services
# ]0 ]5 r5 `& k j$ @- experience in website update/design
- O/ p; r, V, B- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
