Position title: Community Development Worker

provide services for Chinese community5 N3 s. j6 p! I
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
/ B7 ?- Y$ ?$ t6 X7 k4 H access to mainstream services
" f9 f" ~2 H( s, Y/ f* V+ V A- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
' z% ^% C- @2 j$ W( r" e social services
1 |4 ]* b. a" v) z, r7 g3 S' `6 X- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
& k- w1 u" C$ O$ \: l6 k- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre# h+ c: a6 H- E4 V! b, p9 c' `
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
5 M; {6 J. J* V8 w- Y6 @) y8 B- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

Qualifications
$ F. ^; }( ~+ N; W* z* `6 I2 b* d- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
, ^' I" @7 N+ s. G" W7 d$ S experience and education , ^5 Y4 Q. L# g' c) c2 ]6 ?) D
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills( u- P$ U/ Z+ w: X4 G9 X& F
- experience in community work and immigrant services
# G# M. o8 ]" n( s% t. Q- experience in website update/design
$ D) D% `' Y* J- r1 v: L- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset) z# u* e# E* a4 P- e/ p( g
