- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
9 B& G3 u1 O$ {/ s( J% I% L provide services for Chinese community
8 J3 T* k( Z* {9 @, b0 p# Y- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
; c3 ]$ [2 E: U access to mainstream services# c* @' ?* j) \- j6 C0 R
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 1 V+ I1 o" V9 `% ^/ _1 f" J
social services( }5 P) F0 \) B: q, G+ I) z+ g
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
1 ^% t8 Q4 y8 @, R- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
5 r, [4 |7 Q, U- update ASSIST website
% f) |% `. h5 r: N$ d- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre. T2 Z9 D2 m& {' c9 Q% v) P8 d
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
) h2 s% U, O2 s8 G+ x7 q) n4 {+ ~- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

) P: I! P) e/ J9 L2 k" k- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of - E0 j" X$ u1 d5 X
experience and education 2 i- Y8 ~7 h# A3 ~( O% L
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills# s4 y- Z3 g% n
- experience in community work and immigrant services. V/ v, ]2 W3 W5 i( M7 H
- experience in website update/design0 s; X$ f; `2 s9 g( S( ?
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset# t6 c' @9 J$ Z2 _2 }+ F5 i$ }6 F: p
