Position title: Community Development Worker ) n8 D8 u* J- M* |$ b
Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to # b! q! J4 D* D3 g
provide services for Chinese community( M. N: k5 G8 v* f# T4 ]0 T
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
, H1 U h2 V& {& M# q i access to mainstream services' w q H/ H/ x9 W3 c: E; q* B7 a
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of % u1 Y2 K% j/ G# v
social services/ ]; w' g. M, ?; o- d$ N9 B
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
8 ~6 ~, Q& i V: K6 p1 N- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members4 J7 L& O3 A# m$ H
- update ASSIST website

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time+ D j3 c. ~% U$ I6 E u

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)3 y7 A1 s& |- L9 l2 Q8 ]

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of / W! P5 O/ j: |# H! N: v* r5 b* }
experience and education
1 R/ H8 T5 d* |5 V- good oral and written Chinese and English skills! M9 E; h4 u' d
- experience in community work and immigrant services$ _, C+ m% I3 g! ]. W8 E
- experience in website update/design9 T" ^: K3 s$ y: A K
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
