Position title: Community Development Worker

provide services for Chinese community

access to mainstream services
7 ^2 W- k3 x$ L0 y# u; z0 L- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 6 X4 N4 K+ L2 e
social services$ N) s8 u5 E% V* s+ n
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
! s% E+ V; E; F6 C. L3 G2 R- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
! _% Z% s, Y4 A- n% t9 h, q8 O- update ASSIST website
* S0 O B7 r, [, b0 T- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre }* d# b/ e2 e7 ]0 z- X, w
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services6 j6 v8 ~# Z+ d4 C* v2 H( b6 V
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
O2 V8 q1 M3 ~9 r; o9 t- update membership database2 C% w4 l+ {& K% Y( I
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
2 X# O, Y, v0 `4 ]3 O! F- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
" j3 Z: }: x5 Y0 o experience and education
# }6 b3 U$ b% X$ L8 V. d- good oral and written Chinese and English skills$ O4 L/ G8 p( i! ]# \+ o
- experience in community work and immigrant services7 v" b- I2 ]9 l0 R6 g8 q( P
- experience in website update/design
3 x% ?% O( Q+ u W; _' {+ i% l- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
