Position title: Community Development Worker

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to 9 U I* H9 h5 H A) W8 d9 j
provide services for Chinese community
2 i3 J3 H+ x2 h# a% _ E- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population " G7 |7 s, j. E7 g+ N; t
access to mainstream services
, Y& Q. m$ a9 g, [* r1 b4 t- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of

- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
3 s3 I% G! Y+ i3 u' J% _7 m0 E- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services; p4 w# Z* K" m
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)8 g$ O6 \4 w5 d5 G) W' Q

Qualifications
8 S( T7 R, c+ O9 K- t' x& E- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
" K5 t$ l- ?7 j% W experience and education
+ P3 A i9 i* d, @3 d- good oral and written Chinese and English skills7 H# w- [- L& r. h* s. ^
- experience in community work and immigrant services1 a V b5 Q3 h* `1 k
- experience in website update/design
$ q5 k! ]; b( |# }, t% R% E7 H8 j- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
