- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to * t" _1 X5 r$ `- `$ A6 M% Q
provide services for Chinese community$ v) K- r" w$ j! o1 a) ?- }
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
* g0 \6 e8 R; L access to mainstream services2 s5 V! _& A2 {1 O
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
5 [+ ]0 {: Y! C social services
) E, p6 z, W) H! G# l2 u1 z- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies" q6 A$ I6 t+ n3 Q' X L' D( N( }
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members$ |2 b9 b. r5 A# j6 }
- update ASSIST website
' J; K2 |. o% g: T H! L- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
+ T- m M+ [, n: V# M5 o- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services5 z) G, t! e4 T# ~/ m2 T+ `1 E
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time: F% _4 v/ l0 _3 |% Z/ e
- update membership database% ^* C! p |( y: u+ D. L
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
; E8 U5 Y, ?+ O' R2 F- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of , r1 ^! P" j3 B: y) S
experience and education 3 _$ F; k# c/ r, O- g
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills) c- ?, K% u) ~! p. T5 v- @
- experience in community work and immigrant services/ K" i9 J: W/ ~3 E! l$ E; O7 B
- experience in website update/design
; l+ U( K) D0 U; f) q* z( s i- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset) p! v& ?- `* _# o
