- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
# S1 d' Y9 S% x" T- d5 N( a provide services for Chinese community; X# X- t0 Z5 f8 }
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population 1 P2 k* t/ ?9 S5 R' Y5 J- Y
access to mainstream services
8 L# s: o3 S# j) N& u8 C3 [- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of # f6 y2 C/ z5 J1 a ^& \
social services
1 Q' J' R/ N' p2 X% ]- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies4 ?+ o: u6 X; X- R$ Y- h# U8 q
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
2 D% W: ?3 `8 _" t- ?- update ASSIST website
5 i* l Z, N& n4 D8 j* X- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
& u9 o% x* }7 w- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services; b* s% `" M8 V% U0 o
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications, [0 \' ]1 C+ \& _2 X5 e* z
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of 1 |' P6 ^. \/ j1 I; O* R. H
experience and education
- ?4 { \2 e( O* E2 A! |- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
4 V( a |8 B4 k& G$ _- experience in community work and immigrant services7 o' B0 c6 }. f- o
- experience in website update/design
' L" u7 L; N" b- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset8 I; Y9 D+ E# l; ?9 ^; Q& a
