Youth Summer Program Assistant, 2009

Responsibilities:
2 x+ i0 d* c5 d" \& R-        Support the Youth Program Coordinator in the preparation and
        implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer program
-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Youth Program Coordinator

Qualifications:
7 l- u6 M' p2 U% I; w- n- ~-        Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
1 D  F) j" U2 z9 ]        Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
0 ~% r: L/ q" U. w& t-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
/ b3 j1 r9 M9 i$ s, ~-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
+ W; s2 [# \- ~# _( ^1 [-        Returning student (should return to school after summer)
; y0 i" c  D) h-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning)
$ O1 y2 O7 U; ]        and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009

Salary
3 V8 d8 e' [3 ^+ x" X$ ?-        $14.00 per hour
