Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

Responsibilities:& x1 @; v4 Y3 j
- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
& V1 s9 P! h. w (ages 6 to 15)
1 E {3 Y) ~% \5 F2 D+ x& X- Recruit children for summer programs8 a* K( ?( \* Z2 c: `3 E
- Recruit volunteers for summer programs
1 o% R: d9 R+ A' y% P- Record keeping# H. L" Q5 P4 x, Y9 D
- Provide orientation for parents
% z0 `- l/ F. W4 ~ F/ {( c' ?% t- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
" k3 i2 a5 V! y! W9 k$ Y1 ~- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:/ X+ o5 t# J* n8 b
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education) B1 L! J3 g4 L
- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children+ z, l- w2 [3 Z) {
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
/ ~# d' v8 [0 U% n6 {- c ]9 H6 g- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities9 J. S0 \4 W+ @
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision% \, `( ?6 U0 Z. p V9 G' u# M
- Returning student (should return to school after summer)

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) - w" @5 `( ?8 n8 z
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)5 e; w' h. C3 x
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 20095 N! U; E& m1 s6 u; e' N

- $15 per hour
