* Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications! x8 Y4 J; a/ g4 a8 g5 k2 X7 x
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
# Y A8 M- j5 V, ?1 J- ]7 G5 a& n * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance0 v: o- g1 Z. L
* Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students

Z2 l' h% S `2 g6 }) X' G * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
