. G3 \% c9 z+ Q2 z * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
9 s$ B9 Z5 {) {3 G* p: Y * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis' K K& M9 x3 h6 }+ |& h9 h5 z
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
% b+ O1 N; u" F$ P; n! J/ ] * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students . Z1 u4 T: c5 Y5 u( R8 D
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
