A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

knowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.

• WHMIS
; b I5 W4 }0 t# B) H, a• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
, P* I# A( K. M2 w, j' E8 K7 U• Components to improve communication skills
! M+ n' X; R. _. z; v! Q/ K5 y• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search f. w; c: S( m7 e( l" }6 f
• Practicum Placements2 d+ Z3 s5 r% c1 s/ E1 ]$ G
Eligibility Criteria
. E! x* ~; C4 |' v" s: I3 o• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen' h0 N" K% y( h2 n6 B/ Q
of Canada9 x& P l, i! i1 x8 I; I" E
• have a Social Insurance Number% K! u6 N$ F5 R1 |) E3 W- Z* [4 E" |
• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
1 S6 f% D$ k" S* n( O0 Z: G4 I R• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
' i5 q* o# Z. ?& C, o• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time

1 D8 W& k9 s- HParticipants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet; y5 c8 h) \( s5 e+ [# U3 }8 S
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:; B, i2 Q& g: O1 D* l
• be unemployed or underemployed./ b( B* a6 {5 Q6 }# r, q0 Q- z
They CANNOT quit their job to take the course- f6 @9 W5 T+ `8 @. w
• meet the financial eligibility criteria
