A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care." L0 _6 K9 U9 d9 W( c, w; I
This program is designed to provide participants with the skills and5 c2 i; g7 P) e0 o% o
knowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.

• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)
; n3 i' S/ C6 b8 X7 e• Standard Child Care First Aid
1 r. M( ?- u- r; M5 a• WHMIS+ |& n% ]7 w; M* t" R l6 Q. j
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care/ b- @ P% p' V# f& x2 f1 ^5 g
• Components to improve communication skills9 u& k, X! `/ N0 \: `# D4 j
• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search+ r% C8 o8 g: A
• Practicum Placements4 Z. y# W' P. }1 m Q" Z8 N/ L) T5 k9 o
Eligibility Criteria5 z, p, C3 B J: T3 @- {. A
• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen
6 C1 M3 S3 U3 c) C5 bof Canada
7 E6 I; W! @+ o; z. ]• have a Social Insurance Number
/ S3 y: D5 f, D0 a) b& U• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
# c% r+ H& Z- d: J1 A• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent5 C) z8 w) W( ?' s `+ T
• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time7 A* W7 J" p$ L1 J$ ^
program& N! u+ r6 ?) y3 Y7 [2 r- m n( G; X
Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet2 H1 f& N# T1 r* u4 r+ T
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:
