A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)+ s* R, s, D! k$ l% l
• Standard Child Care First Aid
* H4 L s& X @* }# z2 p& A. ]9 N• WHMIS6 S& m- K6 ^5 i. H( w
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care, ?- h; p0 P# Y5 K- c0 |
• Components to improve communication skills

• Practicum Placements

" m6 n3 M, G1 g• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen0 X7 x* J e: h" r0 o
of Canada
) @) m$ @4 l7 k. _' @• have a Social Insurance Number
7 D+ F" t% C' H4 i' r. g8 y• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check& r0 r: V# L a1 b! ]! k
• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
$ u. S/ A/ T7 L- y: d1 Y• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time

3 M6 `) Z# G" C1 vParticipants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet
& b4 P3 ^! @- a/ o% I, pthe following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:

) p C1 q$ T* l, j* T# GThey CANNOT quit their job to take the course
