Recently OPEC reduced crude oil production twice over just a few
& i$ ~: `" R% x9 kmonths. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan. . |- @$ F$ V% I! T" h Y) l- ?
A year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at 0 P9 Q/ [" W! W* j
least $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount.

1 p2 j' I2 Y8 X G( \" W* `! iThere are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face
& n$ W( f2 t/ O$ F& ]) S" L" Cof so much news. These reasons are: * j" b! m2 p( {5 w$ m' y
3 }& V, c5 A8 A8 P/ o0 }% e4 p- o3 _/ D
1. New oil has been found in Canada, Montana, North & South Dakota and
+ E2 z7 j) o' h. A1 a4 j* nin the ocean near Brazil. Each of these oil fields has more oil than
7 @ O1 n y% p& X: \Arabia.

2. New natural gas has been found in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. 0 T% j! k! o( Z& j

4. Production of bio-fuels is beginning to reach critical mass. Bio

potential per acre in some cases is astounding. Many countries are

cattle, turkey and chicken processing plant will soon sell their fat
7 E! T/ R! A3 K% n3 e7 G$ { Mto bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is
/ z9 z3 p/ e2 M, V! {producing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat. ; q8 V) R' X# f$ U" ~3 f% g# O

( W3 O) O+ ^8 c- ]7 m# L6. There are 99 nuclear reactors in various stages of planning and , k6 t }' S; ?% y, b
construction around the world at this time. Several hundred more are
Z* T9 H6 A& Q( o. r( x% ]expected to be built in the future. Much of the energy they produce
+ T; v, T9 u3 {3 iwill replace oil.

% _6 J' [' R, `" X5 y3 Qolder equipment such as trucks, airplanes, train engines, ships, etc.
5 d! T: L: G% b9 s6 T7 {with new more fuel efficient equipment. Airlines and railway companies ! s. e* S: q$ O/ _+ o1 A
are experiencing 20% to 25% better fuel econony with the new $ ?* p, ^6 W8 O) O. N9 k y
equipment. , _/ X$ G# {5 @, [3 Z; T
* N) h* F9 k7 G- u* s

Airlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio-
- c; G( f/ M. _/ Lfuel is cleaner and performs better than jet fuel. 5 h) p2 l# K& [

8. Cities and counties throughout the US are selling the rights to
8 u- G! W2 O. S7 G. hcapture methane gas from landfills. This is a huge source of gas / U7 n1 ~- l: M0 i4 }
available at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude
d+ F( N& A3 g+ b4 V+ Ioil.
4 X$ S- `2 h7 l- `! _0 m; Y' o8 _; E" O2 d$ D7 H" L U5 f

9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2
1 W8 ^9 c) k& C+ w1 bproduced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into + p: i$ M" p+ y. n: {
oil wells.

* H( q! C% x! j" p) k5 j10. Solar, wind and ocean energy is displacing oil as an energy
* E& a0 j8 s% i! c" v4 }1 U, p* L, Asource. Three new wind turbines are being erected every day in the US. $ M+ F! h" y( D

c, E3 V* L q# Z3 pEach of the above by itself will not make a large difference in the 7 v( @7 N% s3 u7 [" S7 w5 m, E
price of crude oil but the sum of all of them together is world ) I" q. K, @; H5 D( f
changing. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability : C8 z; F. g# ~& A* @4 h, v

performed OIL companies and probably they are yet to get the justified
