" g- W% d; n! g( S3 J- e3 iRecently OPEC reduced crude oil production twice over just a few 9 B `+ D P ^+ M S. l) M2 V
months. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan. S1 H/ T/ G2 X/ V8 X; }$ z. y
A year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at
0 _& L$ k4 \/ \( N6 Hleast $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount. 8 K% @ \7 @. n

There are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face / }# w' a i3 ^ E
of so much news. These reasons are: 8 {" A9 z, f& W, d

1. New oil has been found in Canada, Montana, North & South Dakota and
8 q ]1 d4 ^' ]; U2 Gin the ocean near Brazil. Each of these oil fields has more oil than : ^2 r5 }. B6 [! y' m0 H( S. y
Arabia. 0 i# ~ ]; ^1 p1 O9 z8 K: p$ o
7 c' v7 q) ~! C5 y% i+ b" A$ P

2. New natural gas has been found in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. " B7 i, T: |% s- p& y! e
This is the largest find in North America. ; P' r' c) r+ y/ q7 A

being used to double their output.

potential per acre in some cases is astounding. Many countries are + ]% j* g' z7 C2 p
racing to produce bio fuels.

5. Virtually every restaurant in the US and all food processing plants ! M4 Q" `& `; A
are now selling their used oil to bio-diesel producers. Every pork,

/ @- P' V& l5 H1 ito bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is ) U+ ]5 c3 }' V$ ]- [: f1 w
producing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat.

will replace oil.

with new more fuel efficient equipment. Airlines and railway companies

Airlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio- 8 B C, m. W# W$ V# }
fuel is cleaner and performs better than jet fuel.

8. Cities and counties throughout the US are selling the rights to
! ^1 A q+ F" V5 p/ |/ k! mcapture methane gas from landfills. This is a huge source of gas # _; O) C) B& }9 H0 J' Z( y
available at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude 0 b }4 y7 a" H5 d: o$ C
oil.

9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2 / E7 G3 x4 F7 \
produced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into 6 l8 N/ n$ G, r8 l) ~) L& k q" C+ L
oil wells. / c/ e$ n, W' F% _8 P

10. Solar, wind and ocean energy is displacing oil as an energy
. G- N, G9 t# f' g2 v& Esource. Three new wind turbines are being erected every day in the US.

changing. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability 8 v. P2 ^& ~5 X* X: w7 ^
to control oil prices.
