Recently OPEC reduced crude oil production twice over just a few 8 X3 ?% Z6 a Y/ W1 T
months. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan. 6 x9 {9 L7 D C6 m4 d
A year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at : @+ J5 T+ z' Z& j
least $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount.

There are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face

1. New oil has been found in Canada, Montana, North & South Dakota and ( M& W- i0 Q0 C& A1 G' b% q7 c
in the ocean near Brazil. Each of these oil fields has more oil than ! l6 ^2 E( H* V" ~
Arabia.

2. New natural gas has been found in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

3. New methods of injecting CO2 and surfactants into oil wells is

4. Production of bio-fuels is beginning to reach critical mass. Bio 1 e' j" w5 [7 x+ z
fuel is being produced from many plants and algae. The production

) S6 v2 t; K B/ }+ ?5. Virtually every restaurant in the US and all food processing plants 0 D: h+ B6 O P+ A$ ~; M: J
are now selling their used oil to bio-diesel producers. Every pork,
& ^3 b6 w( ?0 c, Icattle, turkey and chicken processing plant will soon sell their fat ! w2 k/ K% w( |; H
to bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is
2 ~6 L6 v. b4 p9 A' \5 ^! hproducing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat.

' n" I4 Y- U! c6 M8 \$ u" ?, X, i6. There are 99 nuclear reactors in various stages of planning and
& p0 p \5 q; ~construction around the world at this time. Several hundred more are

with new more fuel efficient equipment. Airlines and railway companies
5 q( K9 q: f' k) X+ F* v1 I aare experiencing 20% to 25% better fuel econony with the new / D; C8 m7 w/ `3 Q |" T

Airlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio- 6 l- u$ U4 @9 F6 F0 L* |% Z T
fuel is cleaner and performs better than jet fuel. 9 e6 Z" c; q6 s s" O; n$ N1 o

8. Cities and counties throughout the US are selling the rights to 2 \2 p4 s5 n1 S* R- Q) u+ }9 Q0 n
capture methane gas from landfills. This is a huge source of gas ' w5 o, l" N" S* a& O. h+ G$ x0 T G
available at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude
2 S$ B" m- O, ~( R" f4 Boil.
% Z) @: \" {% {( T3 v y5 t0 n& z7 O) l6 ?% @* p9 S
! D: b# K/ w- q) C, q( v$ X9 C9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2 8 N1 m& [8 M: f0 r
produced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into
9 M$ e1 O7 Z- _0 Y! ~& boil wells.
8 C& K5 l! F; l. ?8 k6 m. V$ H5 K2 x9 E* b' @; L$ u) ]$ \
) [+ [2 r$ X+ W8 M* k+ Q* @/ K) t
10. Solar, wind and ocean energy is displacing oil as an energy
& l+ R: N! E7 X7 E1 Z" ^source. Three new wind turbines are being erected every day in the US.

. ^9 B# W1 w% w- TEach of the above by itself will not make a large difference in the 5 @" k' l# a4 {5 x
price of crude oil but the sum of all of them together is world
" z4 M Y# i0 w. tchanging. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability

performed OIL companies and probably they are yet to get the justified
