Recently OPEC reduced crude oil production twice over just a few
+ w; R4 ~" g5 {( G/ tmonths. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan.
8 F1 B# q* U; Y2 v- BA year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at
. K# k! A3 K9 F! q8 X9 q! aleast $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount.

There are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face / p* d3 O+ z$ `# M1 e/ p r) s
of so much news. These reasons are:

in the ocean near Brazil. Each of these oil fields has more oil than

racing to produce bio fuels.

cattle, turkey and chicken processing plant will soon sell their fat

expected to be built in the future. Much of the energy they produce

9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2

oil wells. 7 I) U( ?8 D- c

7 u o: z5 Q; G" g' f10. Solar, wind and ocean energy is displacing oil as an energy

Each of the above by itself will not make a large difference in the * k: v9 q5 d. i8 @" I- b( O

changing. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability # F0 u! ]9 J m/ T& `" S
to control oil prices.
