Recently OPEC reduced crude oil production twice over just a few & X; z8 Y, u. }3 `
months. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan. ) h* X% G9 Z8 |' \6 g3 m3 d. S% q
A year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at Y- r9 D" D8 c# e
least $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount.

There are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face * Q3 f5 Q* w4 D: f4 B' P/ O4 b
of so much news. These reasons are:

1. New oil has been found in Canada, Montana, North & South Dakota and
% R/ o$ _2 G: m. Min the ocean near Brazil. Each of these oil fields has more oil than

are now selling their used oil to bio-diesel producers. Every pork,

6 X3 [8 f$ N1 l( w- ^, Z6 r: Mto bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is 8 G1 j1 v5 C8 D: `
producing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat. ' s$ F3 G8 G4 v, R0 w5 I

6. There are 99 nuclear reactors in various stages of planning and

Airlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio-

, O ~: K C& K5 f/ h9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2

: E5 z$ }9 s* p# K7 c& l10. Solar, wind and ocean energy is displacing oil as an energy
' [# q0 w) j$ e7 tsource. Three new wind turbines are being erected every day in the US.

changing. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability - c+ m- {. N0 A" n, X( o
to control oil prices.
