months. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan. 7 a3 u3 W- N4 i- A+ s$ m' A2 M
A year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at 9 V# @+ p* N& A+ M* o/ \% q% }2 w
least $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount. $ C* ]# m# Z0 s# D

There are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face

cattle, turkey and chicken processing plant will soon sell their fat
/ s# g% Y" t, }& pto bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is

6. There are 99 nuclear reactors in various stages of planning and

) s0 y! ^3 s9 _9 Xavailable at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude ) Y2 F( [$ k) M; x6 O: N
oil.

9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2
% H9 {4 u% _1 G! jproduced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into # r q$ r0 t* E: f5 P$ P+ C3 Y
oil wells.

10. Solar, wind and ocean energy is displacing oil as an energy 2 x$ A$ i2 ?: L2 c* G
source. Three new wind turbines are being erected every day in the US.

Each of the above by itself will not make a large difference in the

: `! ?/ @$ [/ l* d, Zchanging. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability
- I% B& B2 ~ A; lto control oil prices.
