companies producing Jet fuels but Biofuels. Also no wonder if some of " G4 r; a" e0 k* S
these oil producer will go bankrupt or out of the business even if 2 O6 x5 O. G r
crude prices improves. This implies also to good names such as Shell,

Recently OPEC reduced crude oil production twice over just a few
0 i" a; G# F4 M2 F( ]9 xmonths. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan. ' J: ~0 K& T! i) B
A year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at
" \* I# @2 L9 z' w# gleast $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount. ! A4 X& }" A( h- J

8 h. @- e& A9 p# X- r1 l, V* fThere are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face

1. New oil has been found in Canada, Montana, North & South Dakota and ) e$ q8 z0 }2 J+ o- v# |

/ g% B0 n# G5 b$ d6 }0 S) k3 S2. New natural gas has been found in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

4. Production of bio-fuels is beginning to reach critical mass. Bio

are now selling their used oil to bio-diesel producers. Every pork,
" G z# M" x, R& N; j* Gcattle, turkey and chicken processing plant will soon sell their fat 8 K( u8 V; J1 F5 N% Y* l$ M, n
to bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is
0 g; j9 s' ~3 i: x8 E l( Fproducing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat. 9 y/ {( N( j! i, h- j

6. There are 99 nuclear reactors in various stages of planning and

will replace oil.

are experiencing 20% to 25% better fuel econony with the new % v8 a8 V, h/ |; } S! x: U
equipment. 0 Y+ P0 p1 }8 ~( ]" ^; P; o% U

, Y5 J! B$ C5 X* i: D8 S, o. mAirlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio-

8 j: d/ t" K* ~8. Cities and counties throughout the US are selling the rights to
* @& p6 D! e# Pcapture methane gas from landfills. This is a huge source of gas
7 s; ^" O: H# n- ^, j; oavailable at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude 1 M5 n6 Q1 j9 ]3 V7 |
oil.

9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2
, E+ U( [0 h! U4 V$ F1 n* n5 [produced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into ! X: l/ Q9 H+ l3 x4 Y/ C
oil wells.

10. Solar, wind and ocean energy is displacing oil as an energy ) N. D) {& T) q N5 K1 w, \3 l$ ]
source. Three new wind turbines are being erected every day in the US. 7 m2 L: U1 i6 G: j! H

Each of the above by itself will not make a large difference in the
' j. ^& S& X; O$ P& _, E1 Xprice of crude oil but the sum of all of them together is world
; a, ~0 }/ P) E9 B) Dchanging. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability ; ]. d3 j2 d, C' i. b7 o
to control oil prices.
