Recently OPEC reduced crude oil production twice over just a few
' v H. N6 {6 }( i- Cmonths. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan.

( R6 m; q+ Z, C8 [4 F+ ]least $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount.

There are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face

1. New oil has been found in Canada, Montana, North & South Dakota and , {* I9 S) @7 l7 b; L5 J/ K
in the ocean near Brazil. Each of these oil fields has more oil than

are now selling their used oil to bio-diesel producers. Every pork,

to bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is ) k% |+ h7 d4 \4 H/ s
producing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat. 6 [0 z7 l J5 P5 W7 Y9 B( v- _5 n

6. There are 99 nuclear reactors in various stages of planning and 3 ~# V1 J6 w( t% h' H
construction around the world at this time. Several hundred more are

Airlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio- " e9 |# G, g2 ` o6 t( }$ s
fuel is cleaner and performs better than jet fuel.

8. Cities and counties throughout the US are selling the rights to 2 F" Y' `- @" \) R
capture methane gas from landfills. This is a huge source of gas # g8 E8 E# ^! E2 P/ s4 a1 Q+ V
available at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude # S4 O9 ~. v1 ]) T
oil.

; R- M! R& E' j9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2
4 U- @% B3 c% y5 g8 s# [produced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into

& F# F/ ?4 v Z6 ], E# z

10. Solar, wind and ocean energy is displacing oil as an energy
/ v |6 k9 ^6 u) b9 O( Xsource. Three new wind turbines are being erected every day in the US.

Each of the above by itself will not make a large difference in the

changing. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability / S$ ]9 \' K: b$ P
to control oil prices.
