months. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan. 0 i' r4 l8 `. A5 s# h5 a5 H+ R
A year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at ( o+ h9 d7 ]+ }6 {
least $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount.

There are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face

cattle, turkey and chicken processing plant will soon sell their fat % n+ j7 q! n8 T+ ^, B
to bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is
! l. W3 J4 Q# J( O3 Nproducing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat.

are experiencing 20% to 25% better fuel econony with the new

available at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude + h8 R% {: p) n3 d: o# V

* ~ Z' K& d/ Z8 g1 x" m: B9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2 2 R k+ d2 M" c7 p. R7 c y+ a% B
produced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into % ^( Y: Y6 g) a' G4 p

source. Three new wind turbines are being erected every day in the US.

Each of the above by itself will not make a large difference in the
4 Z* p0 V/ H) l9 ]1 nprice of crude oil but the sum of all of them together is world # |! {- K+ k7 C% d1 F; A9 q
changing. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability ' d5 S: p; Q* t% f2 Y2 i
to control oil prices.
