Recently OPEC reduced crude oil production twice over just a few
% n6 u! B, j" V: v" K# e2 rmonths. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan.
) K$ U+ z: H' {. I* IA year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at " I4 t0 W S* O& Z _
least $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount.

1. New oil has been found in Canada, Montana, North & South Dakota and
. c# F; u5 m1 }2 ? y2 Iin the ocean near Brazil. Each of these oil fields has more oil than 8 {3 ~7 `/ f; W5 G Q% A/ L
Arabia.

4. Production of bio-fuels is beginning to reach critical mass. Bio

5. Virtually every restaurant in the US and all food processing plants

I# d$ }* `( dto bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is
$ B/ s( I* P$ F% {producing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat.

with new more fuel efficient equipment. Airlines and railway companies , C4 L/ o$ t8 _ N, I3 T, C d
are experiencing 20% to 25% better fuel econony with the new e3 M- j$ O' e. s5 D" J7 _
equipment.

4 W, u! K0 C5 y5 FAirlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio- 6 D; {6 v$ W3 c" [" I
fuel is cleaner and performs better than jet fuel. 0 E0 V$ Q3 U0 }; S

+ d7 |5 }- _" y1 ?. E8. Cities and counties throughout the US are selling the rights to 6 ~+ G4 r, Q% z7 X5 v) z
capture methane gas from landfills. This is a huge source of gas 3 e6 L" j. i: U( f
available at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude
+ B9 V+ c% E! T- `oil. 1 O! B3 D9 v% m
) v" f, B/ s( X, ~
2 y2 ~0 B& A: @9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2 ' A" w8 N6 @% v( ?$ O( Q, G4 f
produced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into " `6 O7 n v$ `7 i. i. K3 B
oil wells. + g0 e! j8 y) o9 q; _7 ]8 k( F

10. Solar, wind and ocean energy is displacing oil as an energy - j0 U4 f0 {3 t* z

Each of the above by itself will not make a large difference in the 5 m+ V3 M v% k% j
price of crude oil but the sum of all of them together is world
3 Z J+ {/ _7 k1 `( P' Vchanging. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability
: W3 K- w- A; ]/ s/ Sto control oil prices.

With the above scenario, I still believe that there are under
