Recently OPEC reduced crude oil production twice over just a few ! B1 Y6 q& u7 n: G& D) @ N! c7 S
months. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan. 7 s8 p3 d v2 n9 V/ f3 n L0 K- D
A year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at \, S g9 n, ~, a
least $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount. * Y! h7 q9 `& |. Z4 z6 k9 E
0 ^! \8 U, g+ o7 i/ {1 W8 q# y+ E4 B7 P/ c
There are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face / j+ B& A! R; b7 ?- F* Q
of so much news. These reasons are:

are now selling their used oil to bio-diesel producers. Every pork,

producing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat. ' n! R5 s/ F- r r4 G g7 h4 j

& ^' C" Q) B- o2 y0 ]2 R6. There are 99 nuclear reactors in various stages of planning and " s) ^% C6 q4 ` N
construction around the world at this time. Several hundred more are

Airlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio- 9 E( w5 I1 E5 l; O; n
fuel is cleaner and performs better than jet fuel.

1 ?, w! h+ J, w2 f i; b% f8. Cities and counties throughout the US are selling the rights to - t* J! c- N! ~
capture methane gas from landfills. This is a huge source of gas ) }7 ~2 h) s; `, F0 D7 P7 b
available at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude
* }6 r( C8 ?, }7 C! F5 [oil.

produced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into

10. Solar, wind and ocean energy is displacing oil as an energy
( ~4 ~3 |: t% O1 r" _. m4 Usource. Three new wind turbines are being erected every day in the US.
