Position Abstract: The Children & Youth Programs provide social recreation & skill development activities for children between the ages of 6 - 15 who are experiencing behavioural difficulties, have been diagnosed with a mental illness or live in a family with someone who has a mental illness. 0 Q' U) ]# M' [ A

Qualifications: The Social Recreation & Life Skills Coordinator is organized, possess great time management skills, enjoys a high energy environment/easily builds rapport with children. The successful candidate has experience in the coordination/implementation of recreation programs & has a working knowledge of the affect of mental illness on children.

QAdditional qualifications include: A relevant post-secondary human services program degree; 2 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education/experience working with children; Able to work flexible hours (including some evenings/weekends); Valid Class 4 or 5 driver's license/access to a vehicle.

PLUS: Knowledge/experience in program development, evaluation & research; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Current First Aid; Able to provide current, clear criminal record check & child abuse registry clearance.
