　　（综合讯）美国联邦储备局(Federal Reserve)和欧洲央行(European Central Bank)和其他4家央行进行史无前例紧急协同减息，以缓解金融危机对经济的影响。

　　美联储宣布减息50个基点至1.5%，欧洲央行、英国央行、加拿大央行、瑞典央行和瑞士央行也纷纷减息。

　　中国人民银行决定：从2008年10月15日起下调存款类金融机构人民币存款准备金率0.5个百分点；从2008年10月9日起下调一年期人民币存贷款基准利率各0.27个百分点，其他期限档次存贷款基准利率作相应调整。(完)

But the commercial banks probably do not follow the Bank of Canada. That means the mortgage rate will not chande while the prime rate goes down.

应该是两个概念，一个是央行给商业银行的准备金隔夜拆息利率，一个是商业银行的借贷利率，没有必然联系吧
