What to do if you are in a car accident

Step1. If possible, stop your car in a safe and visible place. If a car ) A. B* C2 P$ V5 i, b" m+ H) L5 q
cannot be moved, turn on the hazard lights. Turn off the

Step2. Determine if anyone is injured. Do not move an injured person.

Report any injuries.

driver does not own the car, get the name of the car’s owner.

witnesses. If you have a camera take pictures of the accident 9 T8 ^4 h& q. c2 C0 A9 j ^
scene.

Step5. The police officer will give you a copy of the collision report.* X; u3 c3 ^0 o

Step6. Cooperate with the police, but do not admit guilt for the

Step8. Do not agree to forget about a minor accident. You may see

Step9. Write an account of what happened: time of day, weather,

skid marks and determine the point of impact. Note any damage
