Step1.        If possible, stop your car in a safe and visible place. If a car
                cannot be moved, turn on the hazard lights. Turn off the
                ignition. Be careful when exiting your car.

Step2.        Determine if anyone is injured. Do not move an injured person.

+ Y+ C; L) Q$ z, I  E6 P- YStep3.        Call 911 for the police and ambulance (if needed) immediately.

) b/ B  _) `$ S2 S( T! w; ^Step4.        If another vehicle is involved, get the car’s year, make, model
                and license plate number; the driver’s name, address and license
                number; and the name of his or her insurance company. If the
* s8 N# m) {# F4 j/ v+ X- u5 X- t0 h                driver does not own the car, get the name of the car’s owner.
2 p/ }! e# a" r5 D                Write down names and addresses of other passengers or
                witnesses. If you have a camera take pictures of the accident
                scene.

' _6 q# ~" m5 m) ?# IStep5.        The police officer will give you a copy of the collision report.
# Y; O' [% m1 g9 e9 h
+ z; e) g  z# J) A! |/ p5 I2 QStep6.        Cooperate with the police, but do not admit guilt for the
9 M7 \' a; a0 z9 k                accident in any way. You may be required to show proof of
                insurance, but do not reveal how much coverage you have.

Step7.        Do not accept any money the other driver may offer. By
) g/ H* H( T$ |: e" |1 ]! P4 L# Q                accepting money, you may give up your right to file a claim
                against the other driver, even if the damages turn out to be
                more extensive than you first thought.

Step8.        Do not agree to forget about a minor accident. You may see
4 \% O% B9 {7 G4 j& K6 X                later that there were hidden damages or injuries. The other
                person may even file a lawsuit against you.

5 K4 w) a- B: p9 b" NStep9.        Write an account of what happened: time of day, weather,
                hazards, road conditions and driving speed. Draw a picture of
                the site, showing stop signs, signal lights, etc. Try to measure
9 n3 C4 U7 M) R) b9 D  u                skid marks and determine the point of impact. Note any damage
                already on other cars involved. If a camera is available, take
& T$ k5 Y  k9 q% g4 D                pictures of the accident.

Step10.    Report the accident to your insurance agent or insurance

第二，       检查一下是否有人受伤。千万不要挪动一个受伤的人。

  Q% g# j! `6 ^! c; n- \第三，        马上拔打电话911，报警和呼叫救护车（如果需要的话），报告受伤
  Y* B! V5 g$ U# M+ [( H                情况。

第四，        如果另一辆车也卷入车祸中，要获得此车的年份，制造商，型号，
                汽车牌照号码，司机姓名，地址，驾照号码和他（或她）的保险公司
                名称。如果司机不是车主，要知道车主的姓名。记下其他乘客或目击
                证人的姓名地址。如果你有相机在身边，把车祸现场拍照。

第五，        警察会给一个撞车报告。

( }2 S9 _0 j; m* l1 t4 u: i第六，        要与警察合作，但先不要承认在车祸中负责任。你也许被要求出示保
) t" N5 d/ B& ~                险证明，但不要告知你保险的数额。

第七，        不要接受另一方司机的任何钱。如果接受了，你可能就放弃了起诉对
                方司机的权力 ，甚至损害最终被证实远超过你最初的想象。

第八，        不要同意忘记一个小的车祸，你后来可能看到会有隐匿的损害或受
                伤。另一方人可能对你进行了起诉。

, o% n2 {$ _4 v' H第九，        留下一个记录写明发生了什么，日期，天气，受到的伤害，路况和车
9 H. ]9 l$ r' H7 H& W% e' L4 L, y" K                速。画一个现场图，标明停牌，信号灯等。尽量测量出刹车线和查明
                碰撞点。注意对方车辆的已经有的破损。如果有相机，把事故现场拍
                下来。
