Job Description

, U3 T9 }# h( q% Y$ e: CFull time position (35 hours each week)

Job Description – Responsibilities
  @1 Q, X3 Y2 {$ s8 \•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
( D6 M9 Q+ t4 b* i1 \•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
6 [- Y# v+ n6 e) G•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
% n! x4 n# W9 T1 ~: P6 @! S•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
# x, ^6 h3 J6 w3 B! H! b•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
3 q5 x( N/ c+ x6 Z•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
4 A* [, }7 h0 M' J! M" B•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
% t& l, v8 K: L8 G! M•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
* m% C; l+ y8 E* m$ t' s& p& M•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
7 z$ Z. S# u/ E, ?+ O7 n•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

Qualifications
+ @' ~# u. E! S/ @•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
/ E, z6 L/ m! z2 F5 c' j•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
•        willingness to learn
