Job Description

& r2 p$ [! w# Z& E, s2 d0 z•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
% ^4 `8 {/ Q* C* N* K2 y( V* X•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
8 T9 b1 e; O* H' d" V# b•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
+ t- I- C* V4 n•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
- O% Q6 A$ K6 ~4 b1 ~9 g; o•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
% U8 [( Q. z) |2 m3 ]/ m4 @•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
# g; v) j2 y0 Z& F/ S•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

; Q* I( F9 T$ O8 K! {Qualifications
; `/ G% N# N2 Y•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
' L& q6 Y) l# b6 F2 a+ v% Z0 y% t•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
: Q+ g9 d8 W8 @- Z•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
9 }9 X( S# F- s6 p1 r. O& U+ h•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
4 M- p% s: v* D4 s9 h' j( k$ n•        willingness to learn
