Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to: National Sales Manager

. l" o( r& O) r- OMajor Responsibilities:
9 c6 z9 t$ V- }8 C$ G% J- ^• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.+ P8 j. c- u5 X' [5 ^
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.2 y2 e u: U2 U% K+ K, n0 c
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
+ e/ u/ R: g, a, C* ]• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
0 h$ L( v' n$ f$ L, k% B• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
7 L/ a7 f0 o2 S& V, H6 {: O' h3 c• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.% i9 r* F2 W6 j
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.4 B n) m) e1 E2 |- S0 d
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
$ ~& W+ ^# s1 c- Y+ M* T• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.5 d; {/ ]8 w7 F; F2 r. j' i
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
% S% m0 \" a2 U7 o, }• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
1 {. U9 B5 H2 d8 o, `• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
* R- |. p+ E$ r, J6 S; K! T6 m, `6 g• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required./ _- q$ V) q$ ^9 F! X9 ]

- z1 h: |8 Y& E* T2 QQualifications:& h, y3 i1 _1 j% I) O
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. " J8 k5 j% a2 _1 p2 X, ?+ ~
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
' g1 k$ u. S/ m7 K& ~ y" R• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
6 z( }9 l9 m6 A3 f• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
% @5 l5 n0 N: n/ W6 h, v4 d• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential$ Q; c& t" Y4 C5 b5 E9 M; w' [
• Not scared of heights j& Q8 ?. y9 d! k1 {# B" ]
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other( V2 c( z+ |% y% j: ^# X/ j
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. ; S0 R# L( c3 `' \6 e) E" C% g5 j
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.! V# K% k" Y0 n% ~' L0 Y4 a( c5 l$ S+ ^
• Demonstrated success in working as a team member.
