Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant |# x& S2 j2 r- X8 D# h
Location: Edmonton

6 q7 D# K" s3 f5 t, q# N, ^, R2 M4 ]Major Responsibilities:
# ~* h8 m. }# L• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.2 a. U: W1 h% z8 L. I, P
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.) b6 ]& x6 d o; x
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. - O& ^ Z5 u' X
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
% \# x7 D8 v/ o- t# M• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.& y L. {& d/ b. J, x6 Q6 s$ R4 J" K
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.' m. d2 n9 B, B; K( y& L* O
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.& v+ Y, S" t4 b( i7 o
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive." o: ^5 [ t; K! H1 ]: V% f
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.0 Q6 p3 f9 A0 o# z5 x' d9 j9 F) D
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.- M) S% h5 Y/ R: J
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
1 _9 W3 h! Q2 m- o7 ?• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes./ N8 F I4 H' ]# }4 H/ `# }
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.2 F# @, _2 ]( [. ?4 u
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.- j0 e& _2 t; V/ @

/ E# t- B: x# s• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
# r& e) |$ e% D7 J) e• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
# G# t4 a8 E: u" z1 ~ ?: A• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
4 I9 S7 Z0 K l" M• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
. Y) O; r$ p9 ]4 n; E3 M• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential+ }" H9 b8 z7 {; Q
• Not scared of heights3 {' X9 @/ e) h. U
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other& d, _( R8 }! ?% T; \6 a2 a
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. % ~2 q9 d" Y3 D0 H, K: `% K) H; E
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.
