Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to: National Sales Manager

$ m: ?2 {: Q+ f" z. I: o( ~Major Responsibilities:
/ `* b+ N, O m5 o% k) l6 C) T• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
1 ^* T( D* l# ^8 U• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
4 V+ r7 s' D+ Q) A7 }4 \3 y9 T+ W• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. / O- M/ {! ]1 l2 d4 A) J, c
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
: ]8 Z3 L/ [, j( L1 O• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.( v/ P! |6 g" b- L: N
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.2 Z) {+ T5 o/ L
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.& w* C+ N, y+ B* B6 P4 z
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.& c$ G; {6 c" R( J: A7 n v# a
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.# A, R( g/ ^* ?1 k- D7 _+ z, L
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
; c1 r: `! _" B6 c• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
/ P6 g( B& y9 W) z9 p0 v# S& h% a• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
% }+ z2 s1 i( r! y6 [2 d# V a• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.- S* [4 b$ L' A: U
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

9 z H' U; f4 ]: l• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
2 R0 N; F! P8 f" f2 T' w' U• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
+ f: u; m7 X& d# `" k6 p• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
. W+ R8 @1 A( D: C5 K4 W• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. & z2 O1 l4 f3 a9 x; b
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential4 l+ Y" g! {) y0 `0 ~3 Y% c) s
• Not scared of heights/ `, ^, R9 B3 E1 |* R4 B, V4 u, H# A9 ]
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other; b2 K7 W5 D7 Q& S
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
; ]. n5 b6 @: m/ L• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.
