Position Title: Junior New Equipment Sales Consultant x 24 M' W \, r o. v
Location: Calgary and Vancouver* R% B# L0 p) b/ F
Reports to: National Sales Manager. A u5 i# c$ c, t' C1 S

+ i! n* q6 d; P; u4 i( HMajor Responsibilities:
6 ]+ b _0 P$ U# `• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.$ f; j0 K1 V9 F6 t. U/ w$ |; _- k2 O
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.) j) \# S2 x, m/ o1 x
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
, D; ]0 t r. U Y/ O ?% n• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.* g" G2 L" p1 D( s0 L5 Z1 l
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
& F- q6 L0 K! u, v3 O6 y, U• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.! U! f7 x N; r0 ^6 R+ }+ k, X% _/ X
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.( u/ _2 A5 n8 Z! t, s1 t/ G3 ^ _
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
. R# L& p0 |& A h• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.) S- O) F' ]- d8 r1 z0 m! J, {6 C
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.7 K& ^2 A8 e0 ^. E+ a& T
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy." q+ H% j, P6 ?2 Q& g# ?* h
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.# W9 v3 s( b- a) d; u( }
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.
+ V6 X; O% E0 h6 w• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.! o2 X! L- L" B7 `8 }8 R6 g+ e

1 Z5 v" d6 W4 b6 L K• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is encouraged but not required. ; P- T2 P2 x% F# G
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. 7 y6 \% H0 r4 E5 a+ s4 C% n }1 Z
• 1-2 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. # @+ z, \0 h A" C) a
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
- y$ ~- h7 e e- D• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential' y1 T7 x* B5 R' [% ^1 _: v
• Not scared of heights9 H }) {: C3 @6 T& ]
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
( }4 @) P& Q, t/ M. |• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
