Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to:        National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities: 5 d& M: X  S- x1 a$ W+ `7 O% v
•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
  Z9 |6 A) n* f4 `" [' {•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.3 f# f7 j) F% F$ N0 B9 l- b
•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  7 z' W/ N$ I/ [( V- S. a( X& b
•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.
& O1 h2 [2 I3 m- q- d•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.) N2 t( {/ m" Y  L
•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.) |7 H) k, _$ k. {9 E
•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas." G/ C/ J  n0 e" `1 X
•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.  w3 `1 i# `$ f" a' k4 B% q% i- i
•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.

•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
* U# I) x  O: z$ p5 d: E9 ^•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.
0 r, P7 e1 O$ J5 N•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. , ^! l/ Q. a8 C$ ^/ K( r0 h
•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
, U% T9 D- X" I: }" k( P2 Y•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. . Y# V2 T7 y3 _% r: A- X
•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
