Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant$ D8 O- O$ R8 c4 U* N9 I0 z" l

Reports to:        National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities: . G0 b  ^; N3 U+ w+ }
•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
5 S# p' X3 \9 L! e4 s$ N•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
( L2 `" o* l; ~0 x. L0 N  T7 z7 [3 C•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  ( U* h+ X& f( n8 k3 w  C- I
•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.
+ a- i7 ?6 g% ~! Y7 K# V+ t# w3 R. o•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.* i9 l1 U8 Q3 Y
•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.

•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.% T. V8 ~$ Q6 J. {3 ~
•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
% k4 `" N" `4 {2 v0 T: k. n/ G+ e2 j•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.& ^& e" L7 |9 u  S* h1 v, ?* z
•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.) z& C# c, P4 W% L  ?- M- a
•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.
! _7 u- V6 W  C( O  _3 Y•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

8 P* e) ?* J% C3 w8 f•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. 3 |: D, `9 e; ^* q4 Z$ C" k
•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. 2 k( b/ c  D* T% E. U
•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
; i# g3 A& I9 Q: B) X% M4 }0 {* S•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude. . t6 a, Y( Z7 `! ~8 _2 o
•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
