• Maintain safe and efficient Service Department operations. Monitor and enforce safety policies and procedures with assistance from HR department and Safety Officer.
7 @" G1 A F7 E* j( f• Manage and support daily branch operations:+ M$ D' I& a5 @, c: b6 L, a% d6 `4 K
 Take all calls for emergency service.
1 I0 b- `' B8 d4 I" a Schedule technicians.
! J$ a- j" W/ e) R Book upcoming inspections.
! K+ q) i* c1 }: n, C/ G Resolve customer complaints./ f3 b& I$ C) P1 ^5 X# ]+ V0 D0 K
 Resolve warranty settlements, with direction from the Branch Manager.2 ^) X; P I2 l; v A4 g8 D
 Maintain branch profitability by achieving targets for billable hours.. f1 x) u' l8 e0 S. ?& C
 Minimize branch expenses.
! N2 B* U7 e' `7 S, O4 h* z" K• Actively monitor and support the processing of inspections and IREPS with the assistance of the Service Coordinator as required and ensure IREPs are quoted and followed up in a timely manner.
, q }: Q2 ~7 M6 m6 R# D' G• Maintain a forward looking schedule of at least two weeks. Work with Branch Manager to resolve scheduling conflicts.5 E$ c. q& f8 P t9 H& d9 ]
• Visit sites as required to assess scope of work, site access and labour costs. t4 H# q# y- M- {! R
• Be aware of, disseminate and enforce customer-specific policies and procedures.1 f5 p, z. I8 G3 j t+ N
• Review backlog on a weekly basis. Ensure outstanding work is scheduled or planned.3 w0 B( v6 a% y% ], i7 d
• Ensure completed work is invoiced daily. Assist with accounts receivable and accruals.
0 E' P' G. r, s$ M) @0 d• Approve Technician timesheets. Verify that the number of hours, regular time, overtime and expenses are appropriate for the assigned scope of work. Verify job number.
0 t) W6 N2 u: J! K• Ensure new technicians are properly oriented, trained and equipped.
, R+ x4 J, g5 T/ h• Conduct performance reviews of all hourly staff at least once each twelve month period.6 \; k5 S7 S' G% a
• Perform and document regular safety audits, on branch premises and on customer sites.7 k9 W$ E0 B! _( h; \
• Other duties to maintain branch operations as required and/or as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a Supervisory role.
! w; K3 ^, o- K6 |• Must have excellent leadership skills including the ability to motivate staff and be a positive influence.
; Q W0 q6 J u L% f7 x8 S• Strong communication and organizational skills.
; k3 P4 ]- s( y/ r! z• Strong mechanical aptitude and a college degree, or demonstrate corresponding experience and success to be considered.. D! Q0 w2 q/ L& n7 w; S
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential.: l2 z. d; l0 h6 J6 W! e
• Experience with construction contacts & tenders preferred.5 Z7 W2 u" r' y6 |- W8 {
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
