Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to: National Sales Manager

. n: w) M- o+ MMajor Responsibilities:
3 Z% G' U8 K" |0 _. ~• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
/ w( z4 C8 A* E+ [$ R• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.7 g. v' ~1 u- K1 ^, y0 {2 l k
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. , z; e$ F2 d2 L
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.9 A- Q' ]* f; a j; r/ X* w* Y
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis." T R5 y% E: l9 O: x+ M
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
# g+ Q" |& v# n* R• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
& D2 B( j3 d, {# |% D7 _0 D8 o• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.7 S/ n ]( Z Z: ^# E6 v6 q
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.8 k+ P, F( q2 v+ W
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
) ?1 L. ^" i3 Y! j$ Z• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.% T/ H n# j( P8 F
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
: l$ z3 G9 w+ u# n- K6 `• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.
) J0 [% a& \+ @• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:' G/ E4 _ b8 `, f( ?+ o9 j
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. 9 t- J/ B* S4 X7 o
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. ! { ^& Q- W- q
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.

• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential& Q U# N9 |7 V( Y4 R, ]

• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other% t3 x: t$ M" O9 R& Q" D; F/ i
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. - ~5 ~+ Z( G$ t- d5 k! R" \
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process." v- o+ L1 _* G
• Demonstrated success in working as a team member.& Q) |) F7 g1 A2 U" U
