Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to:        National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities:
; J  h- A. s  p4 X  n# G5 ?•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
) C1 s+ E  \# u' ^. E. M2 v8 p: E•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
4 C- q& C# z" n% s6 R0 w' l4 F•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  ' V* |& S! o9 O0 [5 s. s) ]
•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.- h- C/ h2 ]7 [
•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
! a) M- I1 Q7 G+ l' c•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
0 O% O  W2 Z! T# H4 @/ |3 I. G. a•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
. o; l$ z) V$ t: a' }•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
: g1 F3 S0 K3 W8 [& n  v•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
1 D/ O* K* @% G3 c+ U•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
8 p( n. g: J0 o% V•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
. _: @+ U  r3 m7 D- G# T•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.! x! s& j& g( g; ^
•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.+ t) h0 V, @* D' y/ s9 m
•        Other duties as assigned by supervisor.- ?( |3 v% r! T1 z0 p

•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
6 e5 D5 _7 D  [! ]# R•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
& l4 ]3 m7 b( S: Z: o; _  M! b•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. ) w7 J8 n7 |9 P  q
•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude. * R1 ?, m  P8 c! z
•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
