Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant }1 Z0 _* H' A- Z, S
Location: Edmonton

Major Responsibilities:
4 ~; e2 d5 y0 |0 J0 o. ?5 F8 c• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.( F" F3 a( ]+ ~+ B* c- m% I- z: F
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
5 t& Y- d8 x8 L% ~$ r- N7 ~• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
" h, k9 r, H5 `/ O' c• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.# X6 K& V5 `: ^; e/ W6 \5 Y
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
, u' n/ w, j+ V9 B! G3 s3 z% _% t• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.3 o5 {" g: }! I% C% P6 f: Q! h" d
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.& I7 n6 \3 y- y' M
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
# E2 c( B5 K5 ^; A( F g+ S. P• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
5 v( n- _2 U) {/ l" {• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
: y; I7 t! y& m• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
9 A+ q3 W& u! ^6 }; o; [1 B• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
8 u' w- l$ X7 j& P# U6 o: E• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.% s; ]4 U/ U! P" t# n

Qualifications:$ f3 \4 d* N# r* `" m+ \& }9 G3 q
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. ' X( U, t% R; u8 G$ f* ?8 I& v
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. 8 S; M& S$ z- o
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. ) V% A# S- Z6 f# v" U& X5 E- O! f
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
; k/ P( z& \' F o• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential( Y! z8 `- e( x$ d! Q& _
• Not scared of heights4 @# _6 P0 h* |4 ~
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other/ c3 I: c: b' d% `6 h
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
