Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant( h) U( k. G \; |9 x$ p7 g
Location: Edmonton

Major Responsibilities: 6 c% f6 U8 S. C
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.+ g, E( w( y: o3 W6 x
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
. D6 F6 y/ c, ]2 `• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. ) Q5 _6 X8 T4 P
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
/ D: z7 ]" {) b; E. t, x• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.$ o. A3 O7 H7 j1 b3 j3 }" K
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.+ w, g8 n. t3 |- d' A7 Z' ^0 x
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas." h, y* t7 j( c; q6 `
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.9 N, h8 A) F( y& T7 P- J3 S$ P8 \% g0 t& c
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
" ^6 k6 J4 D0 O• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
/ T* V# T1 k' X8 w• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
# \3 J: V0 _) p# A7 Y& S& _• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
* I8 T) ^% @+ L, r) {" C4 K3 w+ ~• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.5 ^8 t1 b4 E6 r. h; z
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. ; d' i/ g* ?$ P
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
; G/ A: ^' P+ @1 ]• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
) w* N1 _1 e) X+ C) @% R5 q: ?• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. / G- _ f$ F) g' y& O, }7 W9 D
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
9 A6 ~- z% S# R$ g0 O• Not scared of heights. `% M; @% e( w. A: S5 }
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
7 d% _0 B$ ^/ b7 T* \- ^& y• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. $ a. q6 r6 _7 s
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.- X. q0 K$ A$ o: _5 Q9 y! \$ g
• Demonstrated success in working as a team member.
