Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant4 a# w3 `4 ]: H: j2 K" ?9 }4 m
Location:        Edmonton

Major Responsibilities: ) X' ~0 l' f/ c( a( n1 S
•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.  N8 D" \6 \) z3 P# d
•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
! E! g. ~! R: @- F' s6 V2 h# o& f•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  5 s0 B# f; m& O$ {
•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.
% }# Q9 D! h8 y8 c0 P8 n9 Q•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.$ n5 A- [% T# G/ t* i
•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.) a' P) z! G$ R$ i4 o8 M* W
•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas., a9 i1 R/ ~+ }" z2 M
•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
$ Y* K* B1 j$ G2 k•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.6 T, P& e4 @6 t
•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.3 r4 G0 V0 r3 G( X8 S
•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
  F7 N0 @) s. @3 D- C•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.

7 G' P  r% k$ J2 ^7 c•        Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:
& {% U8 A! R) _+ a: h•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. / O8 T: U  r3 f" u6 e  J
•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. 2 v1 Y0 a; H" t% B4 L( f5 o6 J
•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
" @3 S- J. G- r" u* ~  N2 {•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
0 q6 _8 H( O# R- @; Z# [1 j3 w- L•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
