Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant, }; V) W5 a4 q/ @5 |- i
Location: Edmonton6 F& P9 `8 A4 F
Reports to: National Sales Manager

) k6 }! @* @+ S# }/ t# kMajor Responsibilities:
! w y# ^! j0 B1 R& x• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
! X2 a' T- h' t" `• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
+ ?! I& n) Z X; j& B• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. # {7 A* o/ X+ D- }+ u7 }
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
% x3 S/ ~- t* }" ?/ }' X' I2 I• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.: \2 D$ s7 c/ D2 |% v
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
( g4 _, P9 g, M) `• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
9 o8 i9 n+ n! r. {+ Z# s• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive. q* |1 p5 f- W7 P1 y
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.: L1 L8 X8 C) ]- Q1 j3 q
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
- K% V- C7 s8 z' k+ N% U, {• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
9 C0 p3 _1 {3 i0 K$ ~" v5 y• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
! R. W! G$ Z7 u: u9 a2 f• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.( b) l' L" r3 g8 B- n
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.* t9 m* b0 y7 f& M T
7 W* z G5 C% X9 U- t( U( EQualifications:$ G4 H2 T; X# j, E/ |8 d
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. 1 C3 J; b. u6 M* h
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
% [; Q+ i: Q& @4 {/ c• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
! j9 X# [. i: m& S4 `/ }• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
) y! p4 s! ?7 g, _& A3 z• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
+ K' L# X( w! m- h {• Not scared of heights1 [' {8 D+ R1 x* D6 w0 b G% v
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
) p8 t1 Z0 R; J2 {5 n; i2 v• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. ' n; Z& O; A; m
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.' F, H. o) p; ~2 P! F- _
• Demonstrated success in working as a team member.
