Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to: National Sales Manager

! X/ u( y1 q9 i( @- }Major Responsibilities:
- V8 ?7 f! \- v3 T# U! h- }• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.+ L3 s) j2 l# @ K U
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
( m& `% R- P0 a• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
0 @3 V1 Z3 j I# Q8 e c0 m3 |• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.0 R7 ^# S; f) X) p1 ]: P$ G
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
9 d7 V4 d' j' W4 N& U3 P# V• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.) @* ^# w0 C) i3 K; J4 S7 A! [
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
# A! ~7 x2 k& P* {• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.- `9 X- C# [9 A. V$ |
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.9 {! ^8 x; c9 ^+ p; A/ n+ S& U) t
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.: ~/ e" ?# z' Y
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.' g: v( j4 I0 f, z b0 r
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

3 Z+ ]$ ~! t/ A) }: b; T• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. 4 ?. K) u9 D0 H6 _" o8 b9 u
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
8 i+ s/ d' Q. Y; d8 C# z• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. / H3 P7 I) [, o5 W( Y4 O
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
7 }. n7 k! ?! T; s6 p* j• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential

• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other8 t& X3 V* s Z3 y* f" p: d4 t& e0 b
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
% z) o2 S6 d: X$ g0 |2 K9 c• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.! ^8 Q8 Y) E6 |* p9 r3 g
• Demonstrated success in working as a team member.
