Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to: National Sales Manager9 ~6 i9 {$ t7 I0 r; }- F9 ^7 k

Major Responsibilities: : g1 S u7 @+ f1 d, B
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.$ z1 @* _" N1 p4 A- t/ `
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
, {; a+ W2 \! W+ n• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. Q. a* M2 }; c
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
: F0 W. o4 V q8 y D, t, p• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
* |- N0 h0 c! F2 D) D8 l; T+ m) N• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
* p* I: n' I. X4 Z4 u- f2 ]- D$ V• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.& n- G5 U3 u' w+ f
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
6 V( E2 D# W* h L% ]% C% v5 B• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
* s" g: B5 ~0 W3 F, a/ C& L• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.* B& |. O5 s c4 k' A4 u
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
0 M' ~6 O4 n! \( I8 f• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.. H, K4 i# {; L7 Z
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.
+ Y( U7 {7 |4 k3 M& n0 M• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

- z p0 R6 ?9 h! A5 ^• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
* O- ^1 l$ r$ @6 y9 B7 w( D• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. F, Y9 _7 t2 T
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. $ @+ [9 _+ v' s3 c2 C* o7 I* l
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. ) e; Y% ?1 X8 v& x$ S! W7 P* _) a
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
' k+ h" ], q; q% I" b9 `• Not scared of heights
4 Z' L( ^$ v; Z" T4 r• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
' }: @$ V" t# s. C/ W# {/ r, m8 s• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. % A9 o# n; M2 G( S- e$ k% K
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.
