Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant+ M, N- J r. a

Reports to: National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities:
9 ]$ C/ H6 x( A; x# U8 Z3 w2 r' K• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
, m( F8 E+ l+ c( q, \• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.3 e: R9 } E4 y$ {4 P
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. 1 Z* K6 x6 @/ A. @" P" ?& D
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.$ g( ~* M9 D% U% {4 P- F
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.4 A* U a! I$ r) i2 z, ?& K5 M5 V
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
( P; q5 w3 c) x/ z+ a0 i7 b. |0 m• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
$ l% i+ t8 _% {& a: U4 `7 r• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.! I! D* L- Z( Y6 G" ]' F. N, {
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.% V! }2 J. t+ Y9 R* P; T
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning., b& l1 M- A7 {! ~: a
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
; F/ n$ [( U% U: C# S• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.( Z( J: x) u/ a) `9 T
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

Qualifications:3 E, {1 b: W+ j$ r5 n
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. w! U* D' I! v s' x
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
% }, T F) R" l5 \' o• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. 3 J+ z/ W3 s" i# W" |
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
% d( ?4 S% d1 ~+ l. ]; S, \• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential$ y2 r, Y% z |' y3 `: M) |! ]9 G
• Not scared of heights& Q# i" [9 ~) C
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
" o1 o' O" N+ p4 T( G7 Q• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
: o$ k: \) x4 j6 u; I( a+ n• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.
' s& S6 {% k# a• Demonstrated success in working as a team member.
