Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant

Major Responsibilities:
1 p( C4 n( q: W7 T•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.& Q$ l+ w8 B% f" v
•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
9 d, n# L8 M: ~7 K: ]0 P" h•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  6 C! k& f# l2 C9 K
•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.
7 }3 k" v  B5 H" M0 e•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.5 G& ]% t; u' R3 ~
•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.0 P* Z- |$ u! O0 _% N9 Y# e
•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
0 m5 j8 F; S7 E+ j% P( v•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
" l) Q6 ], o5 a1 B( [% N9 h0 E+ f' u•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
- k$ F7 o* X$ Q/ }4 }" |•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
: E$ v* I5 C- P  c" l* t, m•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
4 X8 U8 f. |8 I) a# m•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.( _& Y& W( d# q- _* L7 q2 g9 o; [
•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
" @9 |) r  U. g6 \+ v; k7 k•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
