Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations., M+ o3 T/ [$ q( p' D) ~
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
& W# |: O; Z; R" m: E% r3 z• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. 6 h* L; d& }1 n' L
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
4 r/ l9 t x; W0 k$ D• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.# [% w- m- `% i7 @, E
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.. Q2 y0 X. l* ?- s, u* P
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
: Q4 h6 m a2 P# L H• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
6 U% }. w7 X; G& R• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.% z- p# S" B0 A$ U t
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
- u* x% I% g0 X9 ^• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.7 C, {4 A- J5 O5 J
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.$ s& F! x3 z. D1 k5 p6 T7 g
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.
& E# g" z t# b% B8 n/ i5 o• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. 6 P* M$ L2 \( o: l5 ~$ D6 h. j4 W
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. , o j- G! [4 w" R- x% u; X
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
2 O/ a4 S& V. M, l; e• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. 1 n% l1 O1 t& c7 T" s
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential: q/ z5 ^2 ]8 p, N1 U/ w
• Not scared of heights
- l' W# {5 k0 u• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
% `8 }6 V4 I) h; R. s# D4 _, v• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
+ u5 C+ a( l! u, ~8 w) H& n, ~• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.
