Position Title: Junior New Equipment Sales Consultant x 2$ _- C% M: k3 k7 S# K. H8 ~* b
Location: Calgary and Vancouver/ R0 A+ B/ s* C# g4 E
Reports to: National Sales Manager( T7 O$ e/ Q r* j% a1 i) \6 n
' W1 n j4 s7 M, _4 ^7 `3 _9 j5 L. n6 k% Z$ U1 x/ K& {" g( X
Major Responsibilities: ; s& @+ \; L- ^4 \% U
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
' N" y7 `9 A5 u3 ~* x+ g• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
4 Q# k: D2 S2 B* X• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. ( n! u' m8 T+ [6 J, `/ L
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
% n- w' A- q A v• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
3 \! u; F( w C* `• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
+ i8 {" b8 e- r# [7 o# W9 y( m, t" A• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
0 L b& k2 y$ f+ Y) N: G• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive." J7 g+ h5 E! p* S
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
. K% p$ p, {7 a7 }2 P) O• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.* E6 G* d2 n1 Q5 ^
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
( u* G0 b N3 l0 z' K( N• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
& Q7 Z8 z. l7 W- C, e! ^2 w• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.' H! P7 a2 R- X* s' A& b6 {
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:) P% k, g6 A; f- Z. V
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is encouraged but not required.
: z2 M8 ?- C' b1 A0 C/ l1 Q. {• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
5 e& U! m5 H m8 e• 1-2 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
: P/ R. n0 q9 x2 M G+ a• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. ) S# ?, k: O( s
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
& C7 G) d4 j: Q# |( f9 J% Z" w• Not scared of heights
% S+ D) b, ~& [; y• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other) M/ {3 ?5 `% _. c& u$ i6 q
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 5 t6 Q, o$ e& H9 D
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.- B+ w2 f2 K O# j, T' T) d1 f
• Demonstrated success in working as a team member.
