Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Major Responsibilities:
+ O' T9 I; n. c! q# ~7 r$ I• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.( o B5 i! ~ a# D
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
/ B5 s# b( o _' `1 E. b• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. 3 M$ r0 q( j U( p* |
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office." ~ H; Y% {) C1 W: I1 K
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
" N- b* U# |) F$ H% z$ S( z• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.4 n" k" I9 q: t6 Y1 l& @
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
; x' D3 }, }( s T/ Q• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.' o$ e. q- V9 ?8 ^; O$ [
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.' A0 v1 f" S+ q% k* V0 s0 v
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
5 m# k! ~! C4 D• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
$ Z5 J u& H1 H: e, n• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes./ T' V. d! ?. `$ Y1 g3 M
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.2 M4 W6 Z& }8 k. k+ ?( T
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.$ J1 m5 \' J2 k& U

Qualifications:* Z' z6 f1 E3 a' l
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
! ^! S9 N- l; K4 U7 N• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. 1 Z% F( R% e8 ?8 w F7 V; o
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. . a/ K/ E% |) A1 }8 g; l
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
% n- M) g( |3 y• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
- J" R5 S0 f$ Q% P) J$ L, `• Not scared of heights" u/ w" S3 a8 q% H
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
