Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant- G+ m" b+ T- G; c; Q" G
Location:        Edmonton

Major Responsibilities: , d% f/ p$ M, W9 R. e
•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.) G  F7 k+ H* J6 c
•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
; g' g# W- H8 V•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  , L! K0 Y; N+ v7 q% V% x, F
•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.1 l* `# W2 Y2 [& m! y. s
•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
, ?( ~4 n- U8 r0 E/ ~•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.* ^0 }+ x/ T$ F* |' u% y* L$ O
•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas./ ?# a+ U; o0 ~- l; b
•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
9 f. `. Q7 ~  v  I9 P•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
0 e" i) W1 j0 E" g3 o* O7 G•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.# H3 I; h/ T+ e, G2 }
•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.% A" U8 b! F7 ?) D
•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.$ K9 O4 J+ q+ a; F) |
•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

# X# s1 ]9 b6 ^4 q•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
  w1 }9 n( B% Z- \7 h5 U•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. ! ~/ ?- H6 W6 n5 ^" M$ r& |
•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. 5 p. }& K7 R1 K) i6 |, o( ]/ ^
•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
0 Q# i* A1 E5 D) Y! p- l. u( ?•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential

+ g7 r/ n' d; y0 d7 y1 w" Q8 Y•        Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
