Location: Edmonton

Major Responsibilities: $ q3 ^+ l! {9 w3 C* ?
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
) y. m4 L5 V' a• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
: E; [1 h% v; ?+ J• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. $ P$ o' x7 Y, m
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.1 i/ D/ t( N4 T, y
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
! t& A1 C! W% o+ E* ]1 Q• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
; I0 Y" c% N* u( g0 [• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
8 R: h8 N6 P R( c+ e$ O4 e, W• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.6 m! m& l1 O2 T# N/ k: D% @
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.* z: Q% T& L. m1 n( t' k: c
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
9 g% Z% ?: r- c4 v. H+ J' e1 _• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
& I0 B# X3 h( e* u, t• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
4 X" w2 a; y8 w8 y, g' r• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.0 C, M+ h$ x+ d- S; \
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.5 o' Z$ p5 \( J
* f5 V+ M v5 Y5 MQualifications:
* s# n8 B. M! O3 \- b• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. $ {! X" Q1 k ?% U
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. . T! {1 P: V" o* U0 Q u+ ^" V% ~7 g
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
$ Q1 S3 G* Y0 B( ~9 X" R• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
; R+ @2 m7 L* r• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
) q3 S+ x% e1 a! Y) q' l F• Not scared of heights) T, o* Y3 I: T$ ]: L. q
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other& X* ~# |3 O+ S1 S U4 ?: B
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 8 T; N. w0 i$ x, z2 ?4 i( e
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.
