Reports to: National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities:
* ~0 e7 [1 q" C• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
6 d+ S5 |- v C1 O1 a' O• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory. s! a) o' |. R$ k
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
- H' D( B- Y8 ]% W• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
; i; s; j" B4 v• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis." _. ~4 a2 ?* H( f5 G( K
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.9 B& Z& S. }4 b9 z4 o# ^
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.9 g* k. R( `0 [1 @. T
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.6 U( r+ B( ` [& r' `8 y+ @
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.9 t1 `8 S( `; f3 s
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
. R) D6 a. ? l& _7 W! m• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.8 s1 N4 k# t! C
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.# q+ i: u4 P, C5 t) D# F; S
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

Qualifications:
3 |0 M7 z# o; J/ k) \1 E% U• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
; f9 a# p" J/ i: z. X6 B3 E' Z/ O• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
. t4 y- `' O) H% p• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
' b5 r2 }- Z/ `: z• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
9 z/ g. f, L8 ]# x• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential# @% i' { ?9 E' v, |
• Not scared of heights8 K* P J a3 B A: i( y; `
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other( {8 c+ W) N' ?
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. # }0 Q6 c8 `! r$ A9 {; a
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.5 Q& d; i: ?: B! |- l
• Demonstrated success in working as a team member.8 H5 S0 T5 n$ S# i! i5 H
