Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant' l( m B1 _1 W/ c2 m! N
Location: Edmonton, R0 B4 i4 E% V0 B8 A' N
Reports to: National Sales Manager; A6 j8 H ]# c2 `$ W4 w3 s9 M" \: b
( M- V4 `' n% Y' @7 m, n0 v# b: N& K- B+ O) y$ q! _
Major Responsibilities: 4 X {) Q' y @8 d
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.5 c/ R2 _9 q3 v' I3 h/ p
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.1 B, d* s9 h* Z1 b$ d
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
: d w2 H1 J5 m! m• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
6 H d N- t; p1 A% j( u• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.* ^9 P' s S8 s( N0 x: W, Q5 t7 a
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.1 I) \; _' i" y9 N8 {3 w; J1 l
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
d/ t5 h. |0 P$ J0 b; _+ D+ i• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
& l8 Z. C F, Q# h" \- Q• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
" F6 i V9 N- I1 {/ ?• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
; V! }4 I* O5 r1 u" {9 ]- f0 [• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy. [! u1 T: b. {) u
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.

9 y0 R) ^ [6 |& _7 a+ K• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
+ ]6 \4 l! t% J8 g• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. # r$ y, T. i3 u" c8 o
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
% {6 X. N( O6 {- i• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
$ x K. V5 Q- u$ c• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential0 l7 a" j" w" r4 }
• Not scared of heights
1 j1 B- T3 i- x. W5 w+ b# k9 A• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
3 @0 H' I! @+ u( T1 v" ^• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 6 ~3 G; X1 N7 {( Q6 ?
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.% Z( [/ }+ I/ Y( ^ X
• Demonstrated success in working as a team member.
