Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant, {  _& n; H' q* u4 o
Location:        Edmonton
' }( V$ t% s7 A& n; f' KReports to:        National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities:
+ O6 A) [7 _7 k5 h" v5 q•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.; V) X! {- t# L' v8 I' s- b
•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
- `7 X* M* a# j$ L•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  / G/ Y# s+ J& u2 `! F+ E
•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.
) d/ Z- m8 G# P; H# E4 ^/ O; K•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.1 R3 ~3 n; \* g0 |( ~. m% f
•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.' g( z8 X$ ^. I8 ^. e
•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
7 N! ?+ A# o+ W•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.& n5 |4 _4 n( ]2 {( @0 l
•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools." l! L/ v2 N" z0 N- C1 E
•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
! t2 f8 b7 F0 V, M* ]•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.- G8 E& s# k+ o( F
•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.

8 _- T" ^4 k% a! U2 [•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. ; T7 a: W' D; \$ K, P* Q
•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. . O) _2 h9 Q% ~7 Z/ A( q1 D
•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. $ m9 L( b; V% ]7 _: S; t
•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude. 7 |1 Z4 A9 J9 C  f$ b& c
•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
