Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant+ H* Q* p% W: C- t# w
Location: Edmonton

& L- j6 n, _( r, bMajor Responsibilities: ' G. Y: x/ t t& v
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations./ ^$ |% b: o, w
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
* \- f+ I- c4 s5 B% F• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
$ g+ d# B: I7 D* }* C& j% s• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.) {6 c4 [; n; ~5 G0 V
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
4 u& q1 N9 v k8 L• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.' m2 b) o. I3 @4 P
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas., O4 ?% Z( \+ j2 h& b$ X0 g
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.. i* U% r& f# `0 x9 u9 R8 U
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
: f( x8 J. j" E) y+ Q% B9 R2 `• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.9 ?! v* k9 b' v2 d) z
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
* r- |9 e4 Q# ? K' Y3 U/ X* S* e• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. ; l8 r: p; n8 X G- a
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
* d a! @( s0 {, e9 l6 y7 r! w6 g+ K• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
' |, O5 Z' x Q' [5 E• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. 0 ~6 z9 G1 B. J+ Y' L9 V: K
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential

• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other

• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.7 _3 P6 a! G4 Y+ I5 ^( W1 Y
• Demonstrated success in working as a team member.$ W9 ^1 b+ Q1 g2 F6 n
