Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to:        National Sales Manager

. a2 y# J- {3 P5 l" k$ G/ QMajor Responsibilities:
  P* |) m% R/ L- `0 y# q•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.0 Y/ R* K) c, G" h4 e" ~0 v
•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
4 F* B! J5 q0 L) |•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  ! c' M# e* f/ Y- z0 c( v4 {2 P
•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.
# B: D8 c2 {( _& @$ |/ f•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
" q" E5 C; g! \! `•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
8 \, l$ \4 }+ ?9 M0 z•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.

•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.4 w* c. p# m/ c% u' V" L8 ^
•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.+ B- z6 j) G% h# m$ }. n9 D
•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
3 S; ]( @) ~( W$ {: r  t" f•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.! a2 e% N: Q' E& e8 _
•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

' I1 s: T  T7 R; Y8 ?  U2 N5 P•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
8 ]1 ~2 h" I: J# u( X0 D•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
# `& [' _( t; g0 i8 a: u0 J* j•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. 1 v! L, p% E5 z4 a' ~$ i
•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
