Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant, l, i! k( |- C$ W
Location: Edmonton

Major Responsibilities:
1 i% \6 {+ r: I/ X• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
4 `1 Q& M7 U/ m L2 I• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
$ G; o' h* C! x; E1 P• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. 8 ?6 O" l) H$ |' T; T
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
3 ^: Q' t0 R+ r• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.1 u0 w$ B L( \$ B! q* p B
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.7 L! v, h+ P6 ~% V9 m0 ?
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.8 L" D2 K1 F' I2 Q8 _4 O) v
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
& ~, E% p: J8 e/ y7 {2 v5 N• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.+ A0 {& {1 v% x
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.% ^2 w$ U! s8 ~8 U9 n1 t6 A
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
* |) j$ V7 d: C: f J• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.) B9 r7 b; b$ r! V& k: P
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.; z; D' J g. b* ^* H' N
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.( |# }* v& r! ^: Z4 |5 t% k
6 B4 Y8 t, C7 v5 o! |Qualifications:0 G5 W0 y( Y3 N+ a8 E9 U
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. + F9 k; Q5 k3 q4 v
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. 2 D; _, Z5 [) S8 j9 p1 w
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
" z2 o+ p+ t2 x+ S9 f• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
! i( Z7 }( a8 _9 _• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential

• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
7 N0 W9 _; @6 M( U• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 3 y; L+ J* n8 b% C& w6 e P
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.
