Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant4 h, M# |( b k. V, k3 |0 H/ J

Reports to: National Sales Manager

# n) n( |$ m# c! {7 iMajor Responsibilities: 3 @' R- U! F0 r/ h# a0 J
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
. d( Q- p! [2 r& Z* i' G• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.( @" Y/ Y* Y* k5 m0 J
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
! Q) {+ e2 N$ M) J; C• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
, p# A& S3 U/ r v% E# i• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.% A/ E7 B5 z- ]$ n, o) E1 f! r
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.& @; j6 x' ]: e( q5 o2 A
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.7 o* p+ C! H/ S2 n
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.) m$ `$ Z; S) p7 c" A/ j- r; Z) X
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.6 b2 r8 U/ l5 S( D: p; ?+ k; o
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
s' i8 V; U$ B& p3 y! @8 V• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
8 g$ y/ C' x& ~6 _( M• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.1 d5 `6 h5 w1 {* C- |0 B% H
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

Qualifications:
5 V7 P) u5 q9 v' r* k# ~+ h( Q9 J• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. ! C% R5 u) U' r+ M" q. L
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
2 T8 r. a0 t, F; u2 H• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
9 ~/ `: d" \! x, X+ G% A• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
9 d2 i- }+ J) X4 h• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential- G( X% w9 U. {& A( U5 ?
• Not scared of heights+ A$ G+ s! A* }
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other5 ?* m+ O9 n) m! A+ q, ?
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. $ R: \2 o1 j4 O, j$ x+ O2 O
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.% R$ s% d# \: X- e6 _; Y
• Demonstrated success in working as a team member.3 f8 _2 u; O4 R1 L$ F2 ]6 |
