Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to: National Sales Manager

8 h( l' a0 t9 D& nMajor Responsibilities: , r) @8 {: C& B1 N9 D% U
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
, H1 j( Q% R5 H( t• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.+ q( E( ?) a1 [- G: [
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
1 f3 P$ E, }' d• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
" G! ^9 D/ Q; K) E" A• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis., x" [' u5 c( K' X
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.6 I& d* a8 s& Y
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
; D! X+ G8 g2 d2 {) e- d" E, v• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
5 V+ c- I e" f! A9 |• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
) k& M) I2 p% o; o4 _0 O0 ]4 {• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.( z0 j4 S; u! X
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy. w1 u' j& `. o6 b+ H, W/ q
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.% K! {6 L& g6 d6 R5 |+ l& h% y' j
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required. N" o" g) R0 \5 ^! {
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:7 p4 O$ d, b! Y d& \6 I
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. # E3 T1 \) v) I- M! r! `
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. % _- j3 a& w& f( z; J' {
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
4 G( I n/ D( ]6 T" } ]' z- {8 P• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. : V- i) f6 ^1 N) l$ D
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential

• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
7 f6 y, s4 i/ d" ?# l0 g• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
; a+ }- @: O# N; I+ R. s% l• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.% D" z; S5 d+ {4 \) m" x
• Demonstrated success in working as a team member.
