Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Major Responsibilities: , s, a; g6 G5 S2 h! t9 J
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
: K0 a3 N; |) }6 s9 Z• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
' L8 c \0 y0 w1 E" J% z) i7 {• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
( g4 \' t8 t" v, E+ O) |6 v. ~$ U• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.: ^2 o0 C; R8 Z
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.9 ~5 K# w% e, s1 O
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
5 `6 z6 M$ m2 B6 [• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
' u4 n+ _& E& I4 `0 I0 V! {• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.9 j+ g/ I; X9 a! o
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
: v G3 ?; |5 g8 C: f# }% l* g• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.1 u. C. z6 G7 E( b& C1 X: I
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.: O3 Q0 f/ c1 G5 I6 q5 v) ~
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
6 X' t5 L# o& J$ R3 K# ]8 `0 L• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

, ?9 s; c: N* d: F- a1 F• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
4 Y: g) ]1 J! g% D! Q9 L( t• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. % H3 o' e2 X2 Y& i( F
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. / o k6 G% S+ e o h* C# ] u
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
9 i4 q% ^$ I) K& A• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential( c8 |# R- k4 B1 T, \ ^
• Not scared of heights! ^% ]5 Q! R+ l# H: d/ Y7 E
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
$ U7 O- ~# O4 A8 v5 Z• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
) r) f$ a# q7 Q8 o7 z1 M• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.
