Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to: National Sales Manager

2 K# `4 N, A2 OMajor Responsibilities:
7 p$ I" O9 l A- a• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.) \8 Z* p, \9 {; }
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
0 L+ |8 P* f. X* s; z' }• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. ( T+ s% D: V$ m6 k) c4 x1 O
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
# Z5 y0 z0 G. }/ ]• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
+ Y* z5 p. b( |, ^! ^5 V! O• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
7 l6 o1 }: Z* o' N9 I9 |• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.; n- h, b8 J" @, y
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
; q( H( x- x: O* ? e• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.6 Z5 E& T0 f' g" n8 T0 v' g
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
* p. l8 x' h, y/ `# J• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.# S) b- r7 D" m2 Q5 X' G! ~
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
0 ~1 {3 ?8 w6 c" W6 w• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

Qualifications:( @ t7 l v5 @# k& O
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. 3 _. t8 t# M/ [
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
" [9 U. j# a( j L7 c5 u• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
+ F& @. n2 t R" e: ]6 o• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. 8 @9 l) S& G b/ t6 a
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential% k' z* \( G, N1 H( E1 M
• Not scared of heights! Z# l$ e' x9 ]6 d; U
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
% }4 G6 @: K* Q8 g) E! P• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
