Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant/ y+ A* t4 K8 m9 Z( m
Location: Edmonton( Q4 R; |9 L% G1 p. M' L+ i1 |, i
Reports to: National Sales Manager

- g* K/ [( P" y- ]# {2 q* @4 @Major Responsibilities: # |0 T% x# H( N' r8 l* p
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
9 _& c4 C' d2 q+ n; ]: O• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
3 C& ~# l! g! ]& L• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. * w. T2 r m+ r9 [" a8 X6 U
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.3 Q$ S0 j2 [+ y# G3 ?! S& U
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.* F; s% P9 W0 `, c w& O; f- }
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.! R8 x5 C9 R g. P# R- M
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
3 D) Q7 `* [+ Y Q8 j' m! E• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.; l0 L, h8 X& T5 Q; w9 M; p+ e
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.7 D' p9 J/ D) e% K8 H! v
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
+ B/ J$ i `. d: e• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
% V# S. X! f2 I# C5 ]% V O, S. ]- y• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
. f0 K- K7 \' L5 p8 W: {• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

]9 D' ?1 P0 h# P2 j% I1 Z: I• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
* _8 G* }; t+ m' `: G2 ^• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. + u" ~; L# u. k' X
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. / U/ |9 L, R9 H7 R. b. @/ k
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. 3 ~8 f& V5 G6 z
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
$ ~+ d `; G9 b2 a• Not scared of heights- ^7 f9 u/ a+ v3 E) o& G" R
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
+ V- F9 V% C, W6 X, X8 r( a" b• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

+ S4 E" O, G2 {& ]# }: a9 }• Demonstrated success in working as a team member.
