Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to:        National Sales Manager

% l- M7 ^2 S- N1 e! R2 [1 m$ t( RMajor Responsibilities: / a) i: ~* f. C  X
•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.7 W3 j4 K" V( n7 ~5 q$ s+ t& d
•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.2 A& ~( h' a0 `) ^
•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  , J5 n, O8 N; |+ {
•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.
* `) x% ~9 [4 ~# A1 b•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.+ \) [% g6 m( K$ G; e. [& O
•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.) X! }9 Q, |! E2 r& `8 j
•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.8 d9 s  {$ p( G6 ?
•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.9 r7 O) @: ?: N  m' J
•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.8 ]* I! l) X! M# m) u% \
•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.: D+ \0 c  J4 Z- N" o
•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
1 C/ h5 k' x' c* N•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.

•        Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:9 a9 a) K( C4 F# V0 Q0 D
•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
, U% U% j& p, n7 S•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
2 z! ?( f! s+ N/ ~•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
0 j8 `4 @+ o1 E# z% J( D•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude. $ c/ H3 d: I3 k3 ]3 e1 }
•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential7 m7 m# S3 d4 x& o# p# ]/ N" s$ a
•        Not scared of heights$ @8 X- z6 }% z  U5 O; D
•        Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
