Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to: National Sales Manager

- O0 r& u6 ]0 \# VMajor Responsibilities: 7 s' ?3 G( V+ E% h* K
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
6 x9 E9 W7 J5 a% y• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
4 J) _. }6 a$ ?9 ~: V/ Z3 s: O• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
+ _! a- M5 {8 G' _, h) h: W• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.; _/ k) f* I! G" H7 [2 B+ p& l
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.9 r4 |6 r) y7 v. }
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
4 H$ V# N' E' a% Q• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.( @$ z$ ]* U; [8 K3 |
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
- C- F4 w6 n) N$ H! l* @9 }, O b: C• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
% H# N. _/ ~2 r! h; ]5 F+ G• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.& _* L7 C2 Y! Z3 ]; m. z! K$ h% U. y
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy. t, R O7 x; w8 v7 T7 G
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
. j+ ^7 w9 j% z& o0 J• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.4 z" k) [6 R: V4 K: E8 z
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:3 U3 u; R2 `( K* f9 a
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
) Q: A, V; L2 B- d4 {• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
+ _5 H% q6 v+ |5 N/ r+ [- ?* K4 u6 E• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
: R$ q% b8 x. w& g3 `• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. % ?% S9 {, ^6 E7 P4 o4 W* H- A" ]
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
# E! W0 r5 G7 o; o* @ \• Not scared of heights
0 a$ ~# r g F. d/ G; f• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
# T+ [1 P0 {7 ?5 R• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
