Position Title: Junior New Equipment Sales Consultant x 2' [! o3 L9 B# N* @- ?( r
Location: Calgary and Vancouver% @# b1 K# Y) j8 O# A- B
Reports to: National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities: 1 j7 U+ `7 q5 v: V* f+ i6 n. l. M# T
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations./ L: \, p7 ]4 L) N6 F% Z4 V" `4 z
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
, ]+ X: ?3 w4 N• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
) a8 h; f, W5 G, l, y• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.4 m% Y f' a, o0 s4 a8 Q7 X
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.; o' J* R& X1 G8 h: X6 ~8 d& C" `
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.) h n/ V) Y, `" r+ B$ L' @' a
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
) Z) z7 B( |# j' p; Y• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.7 p H4 |- g' e# r
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.. p! I8 y$ T# e, G
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning., w+ u$ K# E y
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
6 @) Z0 X" N; q9 V0 F9 i X) r• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
" Y" [/ e/ h7 r" w* K" N. \) M- f• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required./ @- ^: B3 ?, E ?* O8 m/ k8 k

Qualifications:3 \# \6 V9 J0 a
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is encouraged but not required.
# Y1 B; v2 R" ?3 j0 i• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
5 C! y. l g. ^9 a) N- w• 1-2 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
, `- `$ G1 Y% G, S% H* P3 k• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. 7 c- K3 q; X) |! [
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential: V0 w- j+ ]& P6 {/ v* V+ D
• Not scared of heights
2 W% b0 p+ [5 X* w$ a• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
3 s8 N1 s2 A4 y* ~• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
