Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant/ f$ I& h$ _  ]
Location:        Edmonton

+ F! M9 g2 h3 B% q! XMajor Responsibilities: 7 v( s1 z$ b; I' r" v/ x
•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
" l; r, ^- M" y( j( R  o•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.+ h  j. J0 w& a1 w  T" K' g+ I
•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  
: l  U4 r/ u& f" h•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.- t3 O; O1 o# i; q/ ?( S
•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.5 o. ?/ |" \" M0 e
•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
; K  y* m+ k( ?, e- u( b8 \•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
! C/ u5 ~4 T3 V. j0 p- g•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.% n. ~) u# h+ g9 M
•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
& F( R1 H- Q7 r•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
$ n" }# p0 D6 l7 J+ a+ l6 S8 `•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
% l( |6 E* i& l; d$ P9 y' }•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.$ {  F9 v9 L& H, |6 X
•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

; }7 A( M7 W; C% {•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. 5 e/ q' w' s3 A) `( J( p4 [
•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
! w/ K8 I/ u# Z* a- p) n% F& h•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
  s) m  _+ z2 }3 ?, }8 m6 G•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude. 7 s  F. M5 i5 z( w
•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
