Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to: National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities:
( n; O& x0 }/ [/ X3 b5 k• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations./ g" I. G% o: L/ l. S' A# t
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
$ v7 I2 u4 [& w• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
7 O& |6 q, V7 t) |" p# a• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
7 Y8 S' H e; D! }• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.) c- M8 i: N2 {: G) q" B
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
6 Y) k! x' S6 x• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
* _" r0 \; ]2 t; B) A• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.$ U- N% w! `, \& C3 u4 L; K O
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.; h' f* m- w8 T, c6 V* R
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
3 v$ M* w' Y0 q; |6 K1 f1 _• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
: u/ w# E* m7 b' y5 y• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.( ~8 N+ t# b0 N5 C
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.$ |' y+ i/ ^: M! P0 \4 _
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.% \2 ~) A( O6 l0 w: ~& `
' m8 @2 g1 W+ C; TQualifications:
* S1 t' H- ~" }5 s2 P! T• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
8 f5 U% ?7 L( M0 K0 x' N$ [• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. ^2 y5 o: ^, ^% [3 b, \
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. % K# |8 h1 j; B/ U& o( a
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. ; s6 ?+ p9 E) M1 c( y* Y# {! F
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential6 }9 n, K; L( b# \6 N" [) N
• Not scared of heights
" G! Q9 @) P, q2 W! U• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other) @) x( a1 w7 R; w' J5 l
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 3 _- d# J7 u2 |4 Y; \& K0 g$ U
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.
