Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant! R2 @# f1 f! q9 P2 J. b

Reports to:        National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities: / @* v) ?$ p4 f( t
•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.3 B4 f+ D' P  M/ L, h4 F8 f  |
•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
' V  d$ m! b+ E; r! s•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  
5 O1 e  @+ @3 b1 ^. o( a•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.5 \) p7 E* w% J$ V
•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
3 N; Z8 y" g- `+ Y•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
. c9 z0 A9 U6 A6 e+ Y! ?3 e- |•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas./ b. e& b# M% a% I
•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
2 y# v8 x; T: a" V+ R•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.$ ^! d# I1 z/ K, K# X+ V, k9 L3 J
•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.' _+ a" V; d& u* H# P2 ^# \
•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
, s+ }6 Q6 f) Y/ v9 c' {•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.! A. |* G4 |0 f" }5 h
•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

Qualifications:$ q# |) K+ C! i8 L) f
•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. * @1 }1 R; n" G' a
•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
( x5 D1 Q5 Z9 S2 H1 F2 @5 Q1 _•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. . q# L0 e7 T3 @3 |* _: o
•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude. 0 L# N  V% o3 v6 c1 C( K2 B
•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
