Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to:        National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities:
9 ~. M" {$ }; {: E  d* `•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
5 i. B: ?) J8 O. X$ D* |•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.+ u6 `6 A' R/ }4 O8 H
•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  0 a8 B3 x$ E$ u- D. J  Q
•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.7 M  `/ b- G: |8 A6 f
•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
& T4 i; s3 ?& ^- d4 V1 s! [1 p  a•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.5 q8 s( F+ o6 [8 l& f2 n" r
•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
# V# r" m) A, {% f' [/ u2 _* G+ w; k/ p•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive." ~; `9 E. I7 a3 ]$ R3 D4 t
•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.2 p, z0 {% U8 \
•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.) K/ X9 t/ D6 R# ], \% z/ r/ j* W
•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.# `: _9 ]8 w9 ~6 Z! L3 X' ?4 {' {
•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.

Qualifications:+ |5 w& [& U& I. J2 g% |
•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
: y' T+ H, ^* J" T, V•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. * i% L8 ]! c" @$ h
•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
) D* \  y: @. t$ O* R& R8 g5 \•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude. 0 }# q* V- y& j/ s
•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
( k' j6 U! F; w7 i•        Not scared of heights! j  C" O( c  l( B* i( ^3 _
•        Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
- _) @5 m5 k0 D1 K0 Y•        Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
