Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

$ J9 s; }) Y6 V& q7 i8 e. g: oMajor Responsibilities: ) j% w7 p0 d* M" D X) n4 O7 _
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.' _ ]; a2 i2 k0 @) f/ U
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.6 g0 m3 ~6 H# p9 g+ e* ]! P# e, k0 O
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. % B+ L. k4 h, a* B
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
f, [/ O+ s6 b+ n9 P: Z• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
7 }0 [# l# K, C1 j6 k; g: r) Q• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
L. I2 L3 Y& f% M2 W• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.. P3 O( p _- M
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.; t( K/ C: ~& g
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools./ X) M: E! @9 L1 D7 i9 T: E- f. e# G/ x
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning./ L [0 F. Z; o1 A$ u
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
) n# n# t0 |# {6 U; g4 w/ s7 S• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.3 o( ?8 l$ ~0 I" Z
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required., Y& A& l2 w H+ ~: N
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
: V1 |/ \0 d7 Q+ |# x• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
5 l$ q% s: x& \5 U• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. $ @" s+ }& h9 k
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. 5 M2 R- H2 w* O: E' C l' f
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential- x/ v4 f8 V1 [9 j( S
• Not scared of heights
! Y0 V: B' L# ]• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
* L2 }9 Q% n0 u. Q• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
