Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to:        National Sales Manager

" E4 X  C' @! K' p+ w8 MMajor Responsibilities:
: O4 u0 L& U. B' i0 b7 Y•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
( u' M, `0 u" M# m•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
0 A4 N, R# B$ S* u7 [5 Y•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  7 Q/ Y+ a$ w& U9 N7 u
•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.
; g5 }  d- i* i( \9 f•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.' x3 X' z- S  v: x+ p% I2 T
•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.! m# M& A8 v8 Q7 A: W1 K
•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
9 M5 N! s/ ?+ k% r) v/ X$ M•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.( T6 K' U2 n# O7 V  c
•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.+ i0 {: q. j  z& d; T8 d
•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.$ j+ D# F  X. C4 w4 D+ e" d+ M# B
•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
4 s2 B# a) d& N+ r4 N9 f( u•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.! y2 x$ e! A- e( J
•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.; I6 f3 L% p& ~- w0 ?% y. _' m
•        Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

7 d7 ~7 @8 H1 B•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. $ J, c  S( K) [
•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
4 W' Z  b/ R& d$ W5 R•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. + u+ x3 w  U  I, V8 a+ ~
•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude. & ~9 E! h) w8 y7 k- u
•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
