Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to: National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities: 6 T6 |' T( _- ~9 r1 g' w. B7 y. ~$ r
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.$ @9 p* ]+ e7 o7 `2 }
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
" K$ z0 m( H& ?( C• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
# t: @/ w* b. M9 ]% j8 X7 ?• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.& _( c4 A3 A1 A r9 P& v
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.% Q( T" B5 u7 `2 m
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.$ ~3 x4 [8 C* _8 j) B
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
; g3 b8 e; C4 [+ C: d& T• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
* D0 {5 t4 r/ e7 J• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.0 a2 A; T7 M e! [8 j8 o w" u5 r
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning., P1 i* e/ |3 Y/ P! T4 n
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
& n6 R# E S0 e; o• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.! j/ R! |0 {8 k$ s
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

Qualifications:
, [# d* V$ B, ]4 L+ M1 q1 I7 b. I• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
( i. ]3 b2 T7 }0 `• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. 9 n: T9 p* k- h% }5 |* X1 Z
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. ' A9 `! U) `* b3 F$ k8 q
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
: [$ a1 Y/ f6 `, _" J8 n6 A• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
; p% Q0 q/ [( K: N• Not scared of heights
9 E- W U) y" |/ v: _$ [" n• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other, c+ h' u, C8 E% v% m6 m
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. ( w" M5 B4 \7 E- @
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.
