Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant8 C) A- E! d& E9 d
Location: Edmonton

( t- ]' R8 ? U7 g/ `# AMajor Responsibilities:
* u( z! N1 u! f: \( w• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.5 ?) u* }' K3 P" w' C; c. ~( D$ b7 O) n! n
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.7 q3 B- q5 ~$ j
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. 4 \8 i5 L9 a9 `3 c9 U' X& C# U
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
. G& j/ ]+ h2 u! l8 ` m• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.9 D9 R* v" y2 }/ S
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
$ z* D z3 V0 w4 H• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.) i0 l7 g: r( m7 o8 r8 S$ f6 |
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.; m' T2 R$ x1 f$ m" T) c
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.6 q4 g8 b, T/ l! g3 T# \" B T& O
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
5 \! Z' ^" W) m0 v' g• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
' _: B0 K' K9 k$ K• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes. w# C$ f/ j/ o+ v3 g
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.! L' u; V, a; Z, [
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:
$ v# r. z$ v* n! Z' M9 C$ c• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. & u! j/ C3 o4 r( H
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. 6 T- b- @' t) U% Z( ~
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
2 I% @. E6 m; t6 ~! Z) N# K6 i0 B• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
4 Z* Z- K5 B! K1 h1 W% c; l9 Z• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential

+ k! R5 r8 u, P, L: l5 z• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other% a( y0 M3 z" e+ o5 \4 F
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 7 q4 E) y: g. m. m ^' n
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.; D; b& E. @8 Q1 n. M
• Demonstrated success in working as a team member.
