Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant

Major Responsibilities:
! q( g( w; H6 T$ t•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
0 E% g/ u9 R! k; K6 }. E7 ~•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
8 H' ~! ]! d. [. u  `. v7 d  e3 b•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  
% ~1 U" j1 ~: x3 B! f•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.
" s# u! `5 g& v  M4 b  [•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis., |" I# R7 u6 y- P: `& C. x# N! Q
•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
4 ]3 r* S9 N1 [/ m+ m5 M; e) ~; u•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
) v% E" @. @! N1 t# \/ y) ^9 M" s8 x•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.( U* p  Q& r( `  |3 N2 a  k
•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.; x1 q5 c2 }: g) x4 N, l  }
•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.) Z0 S1 H- {. |5 M; ~6 i
•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
( b: c  b" h8 G# n•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.
/ n2 u6 U! J2 I% M2 ^% t+ V6 h•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.4 e$ H5 _4 q3 r' j/ Z5 [6 a( v
•        Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:
+ Z* t* ?0 k/ o% {: l: X•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
6 D& V+ t  D0 p•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. & [' d  S# Z( Y" m
•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
; [$ e5 n" y1 L2 _& E( `•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude. 3 j' e; l. {, _7 n, ~
•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential- n4 ~! [2 b. `/ v8 d* y4 r
•        Not scared of heights
