Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to: National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities:
& r; D; n- x5 N. O• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
& R& P! Q# d! R( Q- N• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
@ }' M- ?- X: Q# Y3 k# ]• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
7 n* u7 c$ v& X, u8 M# q• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
7 _+ m; s+ [! ~: h. E+ z1 w• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
) W" j" F, A- W1 W; M: `9 M& u• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
' m$ Y, I8 u# ^& l$ Z3 @9 F• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
" p$ H A$ h1 j/ B! X• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
* y! g7 D. V% @• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.' p; }# x# s, \: Z
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.6 {. i! ?. g$ }. h2 q
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.1 O5 k8 z+ l8 m' r, E
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
5 ~8 B/ J8 h9 n" \" ^& w0 c# b4 o$ j* x• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.6 q) Y& F( A4 n% l5 f
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:, [, J/ ^% @" M; [4 f: @; I
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. 2 m* u' @$ g1 u i. k
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. } C; v. ]6 Y7 Z+ j
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
% W' d* v5 S" M# Q1 F: u) F0 b' L$ M• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
" [/ }0 U: |( W7 J• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential! y' U0 M' F) s+ g
• Not scared of heights+ F& r/ W( H T% T$ [) \
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
- Z8 J! V# m, n7 C' i+ s• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

• Demonstrated success in working as a team member.
