Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to: National Sales Manager5 R$ Q) @( b" d( _9 B3 w- W% [, S
7 Y( b8 q* ?1 ^( l
# w4 t" b- ]( W9 x# k: d; d3 ZMajor Responsibilities: & y- S: B! Q5 @# I
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
5 [& u+ P& M2 `; A# }6 z- l• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.: o9 ~. H K+ }& _' ~) w
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
0 `: T: x6 z' F. s# V, _. ^• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
3 H0 p5 l; A7 x& A5 ~# r• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.

• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
' ~/ o$ Z1 s* Q/ Y• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
! u/ A6 k4 T; |, V• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
- w0 V' S! a: a, P; k• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
8 ?* b) @) I$ b K" M* w9 s• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
( i- ~% B$ @( c) U0 T0 w/ s• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.

Qualifications: \6 l$ `5 V; k
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
% l& Q7 h/ C. r; V6 u, s" i# E) j• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
& f+ z% ?1 T9 ]* Y7 n* s• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
o: {& v! ^& q$ @9 m, @+ w4 C• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. 5 f& b \/ d, x8 n
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential0 z. U7 L# ]! Z5 v0 q
• Not scared of heights! Y, g( X9 G/ b1 B" c& o7 }9 z
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
# P5 R) M* r7 G6 Q( Q• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
