Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to:        National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities:
+ g4 q5 A" V( H•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.) `# w2 X- I5 {4 B3 J
•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
% |5 l- O2 ^( ~; `( i) ?•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  9 u, d) E! `. S
•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.
% r% a. {! d8 E" G•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.( m0 Q! t8 G+ }6 n
•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
9 p$ q% _6 f/ s5 ]+ S, s  F* u•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.# M& A! ^! ]- c& S4 y
•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
; x7 n1 }3 |# m, Y. B2 e& ~2 s4 [•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools./ Z, C5 m. q  X4 k/ _4 ~
•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
; s6 k1 C; M; b; B! Y•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.1 b1 K9 @4 [& [1 y8 h2 t
•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.1 W$ a" Q. x- [/ ]
•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

Qualifications:  ]9 F: B  W/ S( \' @! |) t6 N* x
•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
* G  u8 L0 j$ A* Y7 q* ]. m' c, c* M, \•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. - e& M1 X) k3 w: p3 u
•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. 4 R7 C# a# I' D; I# @7 R
•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
