! |/ | X$ V1 z* d# WMajor Responsibilities:
# B# Y+ s. f& B: x( V: F4 y7 P• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.! k3 B$ B# u8 O9 D _
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory." h+ X. X2 U' f# }* J- m7 @
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
( Y$ |% K/ I1 V$ z5 V, k- C% u6 N• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.! Q Y$ j5 I6 F1 H
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.9 Z, C. {$ H$ @5 T( Y1 E
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.5 I" E, ^ T- }7 A2 \( P( x
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.4 w6 `' g! I( a) t+ E2 k! L/ c( O. o
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
& j4 ~/ f ]7 f1 q5 b- u3 r% t: ]• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.$ ]' L/ I: C$ ?( o- o+ _5 h
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
- {# ]7 N4 \) ]# A6 ]3 ~• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
+ ]4 ?- S$ L* O3 G) ?• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
$ e6 \+ A4 e# H) {! P5 Z# |; C6 i• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.: L( v) `( d) g$ J: h* Y
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.# H: M; E/ C/ i
8 t) b& H0 g' ]4 g5 LQualifications:3 l% h1 z. Y. R+ M' d
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
5 y2 j, s* g& H& a9 `4 Z• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. ' A! w9 j6 C# V9 `8 d
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
3 m3 c. E: u3 e2 \8 C; ]0 n• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
8 b8 y4 e; a- U2 f7 ]) G8 r; E• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential w' F9 H. c/ I) X
• Not scared of heights
; P9 F* h3 N2 A+ L+ [7 D: c• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other" m& [) g" l' c( q% Y
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 9 W' |" [% j' C) s& R
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.
