Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to:        National Sales Manager6 c' _  W6 [* i9 A

Major Responsibilities: 0 R+ c# g% n/ X. r6 H
•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
: L- k) d5 K! Q  Z1 X: |! B" O•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
4 u! E! {' U# q  G•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  
6 _& i4 H3 \% O( b% W8 b•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.* d  z9 b% F4 K9 n- h. Q( u, `. k- u0 B; {
•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.  e( f) A; m$ @& i$ E$ ^; F/ [
•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.& u. t+ a+ p7 p- x3 \
•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
+ G5 z$ w8 J5 ]•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
! A. R: `1 h7 z. \! W$ U* O& E•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.& ~( e  g* A- V8 B, n7 Q& i
•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
0 T" e# j5 a- r. N  U# v6 L•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
' t' e6 A) H2 F4 B•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.
/ u' {/ ~% E3 N+ M" m& e•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

Qualifications:
+ N& Z, {2 D6 Q5 w% ~0 f2 T•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
3 m, t0 h) r0 J" X* q4 v•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
9 W# Y" N4 p+ R•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. - I0 ]5 F3 f# u! Z
•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
