Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to: National Sales Manager, e7 V' \, X9 }- o8 g9 N

Major Responsibilities:
% r# }- g9 e- l4 s* Z9 o• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.% R1 u3 V& O: `! _$ K" w( t) C5 D
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.$ m! D9 W7 [2 J
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. : b5 P* R! {4 s# V. h& D8 b
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
* N5 Y! B- Z' }" v6 q• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
! K8 ?' f5 ]4 x& X& W• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
, G, ^# P% b$ N0 a• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
5 `! r3 ~( _+ _6 `1 }; ?4 y6 A• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
~$ _* H5 J# w2 r t& [( T• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
7 v- N. C5 U2 N: L# m: o• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
" m( U! Z1 c' Y: T. }9 r+ {• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
# y- p0 _9 u( D4 m, W) W/ \7 O/ ]• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
# D) g( m1 ^/ u& K$ d• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

Qualifications: R( y/ X1 H1 u, b ~
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
' q) I5 L& h$ X8 U0 ?4 P• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. / E" z0 x1 }0 Z: {; h
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. % I9 F9 p8 S& s0 d+ Q2 w. W$ t
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. 0 S/ [& @! Z" N5 H' v7 C
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
% [9 L* Z: p* e, _$ h q% f' G6 ] o• Not scared of heights" p0 z. O# d/ @$ _$ p' _% \
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other7 V6 C* g0 t4 z
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
