Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to: National Sales Manager

4 t- a$ y" |1 I. t/ \Major Responsibilities:
2 A6 U1 c% o8 z( j• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
' I1 K2 X( ^, G/ m! n, v• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
+ r, U/ }+ s' x+ ?7 E! F• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. . y7 B& |7 n% a* W
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
0 ]8 o, |6 v! u, W; ~. c' N/ u• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.5 J% `/ E4 }/ k0 N1 U9 A% t* `
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.! X8 a) ~8 ]# {5 Z2 a
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
+ f) g; c1 F9 c2 v• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
' ?$ O5 p' ?6 L% e8 `• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools. |& l c" s) r; g' _, ^" s
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.3 q& h8 g5 W$ \
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.# c* Y. J( }+ w: t: Q4 n5 U4 l
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
) B6 j, N+ r! W. K9 c, f7 s• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

Qualifications:7 U0 P: u$ Y' Z
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. # G. p. |: |3 i8 \& r2 G
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. % N; l& O; v3 k4 K$ \! }' a R9 L8 U
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
2 h7 ]4 f. a& h& K' r9 y }• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
# s8 N: l1 _4 ~3 g• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
$ k8 K3 |% f; k& s" ^• Not scared of heights
/ F5 o; J9 d5 x2 a, M' Y• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
7 z; R; p. r. C8 W6 d• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. ) u5 U: P/ v+ X, Q9 g
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.+ b$ |) `6 _0 A- G+ Y( x q
• Demonstrated success in working as a team member., j9 P& h- D9 Q* P9 c1 E
