Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant6 x& w7 K! y1 x% i

Reports to: National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities: , S+ N, c- }0 _5 c% k0 V+ x
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.7 [* h/ ^% x! F4 K; l
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
) n8 M6 T, W ]& ?0 o5 r• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. 8 A5 q7 b t* D1 D0 Y6 f) N
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
0 }3 K& j/ \; K7 W& i, |• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
" C( c2 ~' ? f• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
3 G8 h: X: d; z6 p7 b• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
: O; T" C: ~ a0 ~• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.( g; D6 G5 v3 ^
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.1 p+ I' g5 I/ X+ ^2 h
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.. N1 T# v* F& P3 K
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.5 I' C; N! u3 G/ i
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes." M% P3 `9 e$ j5 q
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

Qualifications:
# R7 C3 Q5 g r$ m• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
- w! s# |. Z) M2 i• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
5 J& r/ t- G( M; w: E1 n, a• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. " N, O4 l8 H. e+ |
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
# b- X! M3 j5 ~2 @4 w; c* V' t$ O• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential

, x% {, m8 e1 L! F* l* A) t• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other

• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.
