Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant/ [: r$ }& n3 z- ^
Location: Edmonton

Major Responsibilities: 6 ]# T! l _: _$ l, Z; p
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.) }" N4 H Y" D' a) I3 R* Z4 D1 f* v
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
, p) S9 _6 f. e8 j3 }• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
5 X" V$ ~5 [) V+ r• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.7 N1 x5 V- p6 m' U
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis." }# F, w3 X5 h! }
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area., _( F1 `5 w1 p% }
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
* v0 s, d, J* z4 K• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.% g) i* M5 B |$ K. ~# F& B
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.3 I; a0 i( [ s& i4 q
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.# |+ }5 d1 X* k A4 e0 W; S3 \
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
, ]4 H; u( _5 P) `+ _. i g• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
. Z/ y( S1 T& I# K& G+ s6 ^* W• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

9 _- k) q& ?. j$ u$ V8 r• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
( T7 Y& I8 f" R9 \1 i• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. 2 Z- ], v/ h' n
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. - {. X2 u+ j/ u* d7 |9 k
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
; j+ G* a+ ^0 w3 G# A• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential+ |% v7 b0 s8 E/ O7 {8 l
• Not scared of heights
# C6 M! w9 t" D6 B0 F6 n2 J8 h• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
& U2 m; E8 \2 f" k; ?& T }1 @• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
