Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to: National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities: , h* L% r. H$ r# F- t8 ~. }- J
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
3 \; S% M: v' n, W6 j, ~• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.9 e3 u2 N s' e* D# @2 r
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. : Y# @" @3 [ T. ^- d7 |5 r+ W
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.+ x+ G& Y4 ?7 M' m+ S8 O2 Q( N
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
w& C9 Q5 ^: {4 f• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.1 l3 v$ @3 V7 B- B* [
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.9 l; g5 j5 p9 w2 l+ f8 {
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.: Z. n( ]# r; T+ b+ m4 c7 A1 T' t
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.

• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.( J0 ]- A9 @( }, P7 e
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.3 E! @/ ^9 x9 A
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.! f+ n& W6 M; a; ~% Y
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.+ E2 O' q1 ~) u6 f0 n# h
4 u4 e/ D* X9 M9 BQualifications:
7 v( {6 u2 E/ h7 H' g5 G• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
# \/ V, i9 i$ q% v• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
2 x d$ V) t7 r3 o, ?& D• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
4 C8 g) I6 G9 z" q. g• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
6 ?! O" q/ v/ g( Z2 r2 _2 N+ t9 ]• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential; I' v9 `% ^! v8 O9 P
• Not scared of heights
7 o4 j% }& ~( \3 S9 @• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other; [" n& J9 m M" |7 H
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 8 O2 j. t) T2 r
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.
