Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to:        National Sales Manager

1 d$ e/ j# B3 w, A3 {2 N  l' z, FMajor Responsibilities: 6 y2 r' U; I( v
•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
  O& ^" D8 e7 H2 S" b0 [7 q•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.  b) C8 e2 S7 A) n
•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  
8 X  t. u" |- a& Y8 k•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.: I& R# Y' P1 ]/ `1 O& z. p
•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
+ d/ G" }/ u" w# R  L, x•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.7 K: z7 A3 L& ], C2 ^9 ?
•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.; Z& ^3 y2 _( W9 G( j
•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
% T, z, s! [+ Z) @7 e•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
( ?: o; S3 f+ P; `  y•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
& C$ E; D" u5 s( Q3 m•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.; P& @4 ~4 T( j. V8 V& i1 I
•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes., {- Q$ `# d' w6 d% }; D/ E3 |' q0 V
•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.+ ]$ _8 a8 H+ Z, p: m1 @7 G6 u" O; i
•        Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

* C% t& `, M7 Y6 ]( [9 m+ |•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
9 a- ?7 O8 j6 }0 Y  U: N. y4 k•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
! K8 m5 P. r# q•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
4 `: I( x# Q/ }" W, j% A•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
. N9 B$ l4 E* p5 o4 [: r•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential& n. k" w9 T- W! C7 j; V" d" W
