Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant
! l, \9 T# m0 Z- |Location:        Edmonton# Y4 R; Y* _/ f8 E! ^$ b
Reports to:        National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities:
# o% k7 O* s1 h$ s( A•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
7 W) a0 y- s$ R  \/ }  |" w•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
  S% L" Y" k% o# s•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  
( G( Q* s( P" o; f( k; \•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.8 |0 H  J; d) @* w9 S
•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
& K9 }, i- ^" F0 I9 p' r6 K2 h•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.& [& @% |9 V1 {% b# w% Y
•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.

% X' S# n; r6 p# s5 |* M  T! @•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.' s1 [% B: C! J8 r  ?. \
•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.5 a, l# O( a" ^& E2 w
•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
1 l5 Y6 b4 A) T: C7 i! a•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.
7 O9 Y7 O/ Y9 X8 ?, p•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

Qualifications:
- b* G* N- G6 G% o( X/ }9 p7 i•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
' k% X0 K# }8 F8 z& o* h•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
, H0 d8 a; }% l3 o/ O$ Z; E1 z) @9 @•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
