Position: Position: Administrative Assistant, Member Relations & Communications / Salary: Competitive / Closing date: September 25, 2008.

Abstract: reporting to the Manager, Member Relations & Communications, the Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Member Relations & Communications Team through timely distribution of materials and merchandise, support in event registrations, onsite event assistance, database maintenance, invoice maintenance, and reception relief. 1 f% O4 s. w6 z( z, |/ N# ~5 G  [Key duties include: Volunteer Program; coordinate kits for volunteers; manage lists of potential volunteers/updating Dbase; provide administrative support (logistic for meetings, agendas, minutes and distributing materials) for various committees and; coordinate targeted mailings. 7 j3 r+ h7 ~! F  H; o0 `2 N1 \' G

! g( k* `# y* n) B) h* pRecognition Portfolio: manage lists of targeted individuals/update Dbase; assist with assembling materials for nominations for community awards and coordinate targeted mailings.1 r2 l- w5 h, J3 H0 o

' N  ~) T( ^+ K2 q" QGeneral Support: assists onsite with events; provide reception relief; coordinate kits for staff, new members & transitional CAs; receive, organize and maintain communication materials/photos.

Spot light Magazine/Invoicing: receive/organize invoices for various activities; coordinate invoicing process and organize filing system for invoices.

# ?) X( U: b2 J5 d& IQualifications: a diploma in office administration combined with some work experience. Additional administrative experience will be considered in lieu of formal post secondary education. . z$ ]6 G& k) ?9 h

3 X; j. G8 I4 W3 W3 o: wThe successful candidate will be knowledgeable and have experience with a variety of software, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and the internet. In addition good oral, written, interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work within a team setting are required./ W+ ?6 l0 t/ p: S$ L
