* x% V1 a" c6 K  V/ q/ X, n, a- [    * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program) V3 o) T8 q4 P5 V$ u" X
    * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
, O% @: @# y& v* u& _3 {& }    * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
. \4 I! x) q' l$ s! C. o' F    * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
! r0 x2 \- `) V) E2 c    * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders  ]2 C" Q! m0 q( w) k- P3 S
    * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements% X, [) U) n" s% [9 S/ G, b- r
    * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs* m% F7 M2 w! ]! Y4 c
    * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
& m& q9 U+ H9 p& y) \  j. S) W    * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning" x: R! g& B1 o* r" p5 P* p  m
    * Develops high quality promotional and educational materials6 d+ s! M& J6 I! m
    * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media  }' g/ d. B# H& b
    * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
+ w# M6 m  m. h    * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

2 a8 k/ n! K  W9 q+ q
/ }) P0 z" U7 \. _, H    * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
4 P7 s+ j8 P+ M* l4 q( Y) B8 r    * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth/ p2 k/ \0 M+ b
    * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
: D& W6 d3 I) U2 k6 k. f! y! v, r5 P    * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies' Z0 u1 Q8 d; t" L5 _. z
    * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills4 M% ^7 S0 C! p1 X' x, U
    * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
, c7 b/ o4 c% d    * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)4 M0 c+ |8 S: H* e2 |$ H* [
    * Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
