* |$ n! p; W. u7 i$ z * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
, n% Q- r" p2 ~, b, W * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities0 j, I1 A) c. t0 S& H1 P
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes% @1 e/ B$ e3 i
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
3 r% H+ x, d- Z+ X * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders8 S6 o" G% J, d4 T" B& p. `
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements! q/ p: x- P! P+ M$ `8 C
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs/ f: X$ T) H7 e) | \1 @: H& x9 N
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director' O* [$ Q! X4 y+ Z
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

- _$ E$ _0 H& ] * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media

2 s: `) n; _: z. ~8 ^$ | * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred5 ?4 T- b( Z. J9 Y
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
V5 X0 ~/ \' D2 R% o" @ * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset1 y# e. J1 V# m k3 [3 k
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
; K- X$ t9 _0 J, M * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills/ ^& N) g1 x2 d' s: [" \# `* N
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning! |: J5 A( I. E4 c9 E
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
