. e4 f- x# R/ [ * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
$ v8 e: s+ M4 j6 X * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities, l5 `& l& b. |" G2 R( f- z! F7 Q& [
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes- C# D* Q: _0 m" ?# R2 {1 G
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat2 P. e# [6 r% ?" k) ^
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders& i% u+ S; C J7 s6 z n
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements# J& Z$ E( T. ? [! B
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
0 @- z+ Y7 j- F8 u * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
9 z. n+ c% U7 q1 F( ?7 B" y; W * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

/ M! @& c3 Q( n2 C, \; h * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
3 R' u& T. i: ~" x# x * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth, y) J* r" `5 A. ^
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
# C* l! k1 Z' Y8 z" m * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
1 d( S& P/ p3 F* I- h0 d( L * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
8 |% ?7 L% q- X- m * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning8 j$ I- G# S0 H5 h1 d. R
