. e4 f- x# R/ [    * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
$ v8 e: s+ M4 j6 X    * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
    * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
    * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
    * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
    * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
    * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs

5 N% R5 b9 W2 Z0 W    * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
/ M! @& c3 Q( n2 C, \; h    * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
3 J7 q2 V+ Z4 X! S3 [) K$ _, A/ B    * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

    * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
3 R' u& T. i: ~" x# x    * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
    * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
# C* l! k1 Z' Y8 z" m    * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
1 d( S& P/ p3 F* I- h0 d( L    * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
8 |% ?7 L% q- X- m    * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
    * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
    * Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
