    * Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates programs and services to address the unique educational and social needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified,two-spirited and queer (LGBTTQ) youth in the Edmonton region
    * Develops and delivers community-based programming and provides support services for Youth Understanding Youth, Edmonton's sexual minority community youth group
4 L. ]. Z% ]2 |: |9 N8 n4 L    * Trains,motivates and supports volunteer adult facilitators
    * Acts as a resource on LGBTTQ youth issues for Institute staff, community, and governmental organizations
    * Provides interim quarterly reports and an overall annual productivity report and evaluation to the Assistant Director
    * Liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning and management; monitors project related expenses
    * Advocates to meet the health, social and safety needs of LGBTTQ and questioning youth

    * Develops benchmarks to assist in the evaluation of YUY programming and outreach supports
    * Develops promotional materials such as posters, brochures, and displays to promote the youth group and mentoring programs
( v% Y. Y# n% `. [9 K7 P    * Participates in the development of leadership training and educational programming at Camp fYrefly

/ R5 ~/ V' Y( j/ e& C0 }
    * Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline
+ Q  J/ q, ~8 y! b6 J    * Three to five years experience in community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
    * Knowledge in adolescent development, health and sex education, violence prevention,suicide intervention, alcohol and substance abuse, HIV and STI prevention and harm reduction strategies
    * Experience in developing and providing youth-oriented programs
    * Demonstrated effectiveness in working with the LGBTTQ community
    * Fundraising skills an asset
; S( M2 ?2 r( \    * Demonstrated experience in development of youth group programming, community outreach,volunteer management and training and conflict resolution skills
    * Outstanding group facilitation, training, and counselling skills
; X5 v; `8 L! m6 ]    * Proven leadership, and strong team, and relationship building skills
% @8 q3 u6 J' T    * Excellent communication (oral, written, and web-based), organizational and interpersonal skills
- l* N6 W4 a& p& v5 L( B5 y    * Understanding of other languages and experiences working within Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
