EDMONTON - One man is dead and another is in hospital after a pickup truck rolled in northeast Edmonton this morning.; j3 j# s5 y" f T3 \( E
Police said they attempted to stop a truck after it stunted, spinning its tires in front of a cruiser, at 139th Avenue and Victoria Trail shortly before 2 a.m.8 K& W9 s; x# }5 F3 h( p0 G% k) v9 |
Officers lost sight of the truck, but caught up to it about a minute later. It had hit a curb and rolled at 139th Avenue and 23rd Street. The driver was ejected and was killed.
8 ^% d- `) J# ]- A& qThe male passenger suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries. Speed and alcohol are being blamed for the crash.
