I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. It's nothing about ActiveX technology. There is nothing that is bulletproof. % n- o" b$ z; {: @/ H+ ?, G4 s) c, `, N6 }1 G
So just choose based on your own needs.
For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder: / ~* w6 j: d) ?6 W+ s9 W 7 F; A4 X9 i; f' j8 S. {; D8 qDocuments and Setting\(your user name)\cookie or folder system32 to see what kind of adware\sypware already in your system * N* y' I' s6 \8 Q( U' d$ g- M
