I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. So just choose based on your own needs.
For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder: 4 a5 U0 U$ j0 }$ B6 \ b/ [! v# k4 h+ l! \- ?Documents and Setting\(your user name)\cookie or folder system32 to see what kind of adware\sypware already in your system , W7 e+ ?7 M3 ^" J5 g

If you do not like the activeX, in XP, you can just disable it in the IE configuration. - I2 k4 t% t% j; V. R9 @9 |: V ( i l6 M; l- w ?% K2 W1 _5 jI am using Mozilla in my Linux and IE in my XP. Besides the muti-tab feature, they are almost the same.

不管什么原因，只要安全就好。。。你说得对，用得多的软件，漏洞多。但是，如果Ｆｉｒｅｆｏｘ相对安全（或者说黑客琢磨得少），何尝不是它的一个长处？
