I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. So just choose based on your own needs.
For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder:# K$ E s3 Z# t- h2 ]$ U

All of them are just cookies. If you do not like the activeX, in XP, you can just disable it in the IE configuration.2 {4 o( }+ C! `3 }! N

I am using Mozilla in my Linux and IE in my XP. Besides the muti-tab feature, they are almost the same.
