I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. So just choose based on your own needs.
For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder: ( q \+ X, J1 `* s2 u ! I# t) ~7 j5 V! NDocuments and Setting\(your user name)\cookie or folder system32 to see what kind of adware\sypware already in your system ! W n. W9 X3 ~% `# P

All of them are just cookies. If you do not like the activeX, in XP, you can just disable it in the IE configuration.3 w" V S0 _8 y Z; d4 M2 Y
