I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. It's nothing about ActiveX technology. There is nothing that is bulletproof.) D; r! \ h2 `' _* w

So just choose based on your own needs.
For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder: / P ?' s7 b2 ~* o . O, ?+ O6 @2 ?& X% r. ^$ TDocuments and Setting\(your user name)\cookie or folder system32 to see what kind of adware\sypware already in your system / T- Q* z+ M2 O1 X. r' O n% M2 E0 b% w8 B

Why you call all stuff under ***\***\cookie spyware/adware? ( p9 j9 t8 V0 d. x$ Z' ]5 v % J) u, O) I- cAll of them are just cookies. If you do not like the activeX, in XP, you can just disable it in the IE configuration. - A+ T6 e; `8 }( S+ k% \+ P& w' n, a& g) U
I am using Mozilla in my Linux and IE in my XP. Besides the muti-tab feature, they are almost the same.
