I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. It's nothing about ActiveX technology. There is nothing that is bulletproof. ; ^% \0 R- Y% p, Q# G% I. n& }6 a5 b1 Q
So just choose based on your own needs.
For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder:/ S' i% Y4 k! w9 e) _* c4 c

All of them are just cookies. If you do not like the activeX, in XP, you can just disable it in the IE configuration. {, N D4 [! m& A3 s
. x0 d5 _+ g+ k" f( yI am using Mozilla in my Linux and IE in my XP. Besides the muti-tab feature, they are almost the same.
