I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. It's nothing about ActiveX technology. There is nothing that is bulletproof. s0 p8 h% F9 [. I5 ^$ S9 ]3 [( }5 m! K% [' J7 k( w
So just choose based on your own needs.
For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder:! U5 y6 b' y7 X( l* d

All of them are just cookies. If you do not like the activeX, in XP, you can just disable it in the IE configuration.( Y8 q4 i3 L$ k( t6 y- J0 }

I am using Mozilla in my Linux and IE in my XP. Besides the muti-tab feature, they are almost the same.
