I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. So just choose based on your own needs.
For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder: & G: c; O$ j. ] 6 a/ C0 g- Y! y5 J% {+ u" I% UDocuments and Setting\(your user name)\cookie or folder system32 to see what kind of adware\sypware already in your system ! \$ o6 Y. x* i' d5 X8 R* k

I am using Mozilla in my Linux and IE in my XP. Besides the muti-tab feature, they are almost the same.
