I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. It's nothing about ActiveX technology. There is nothing that is bulletproof. 2 }7 E5 L5 B3 U% }2 z4 M5 F: ^0 w/ C3 G. m
So just choose based on your own needs.
For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. If you do not like the activeX, in XP, you can just disable it in the IE configuration. 8 B* Z e3 ^3 E! h6 Y/ L( U - O/ ^7 X# ~1 U4 U" j, s0 E2 W- W& D, q5 eI am using Mozilla in my Linux and IE in my XP. Besides the muti-tab feature, they are almost the same.
