I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. It's nothing about ActiveX technology. There is nothing that is bulletproof. ; X/ P* o" q1 L C; y! y, Y P& F$ v 0 H/ ]# V- f- l4 S& a" TSo just choose based on your own needs.
For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder:( z* u5 e4 ~# Y' Q6 N. h9 b/ B1 \

All of them are just cookies. If you do not like the activeX, in XP, you can just disable it in the IE configuration. ! h: ?8 A9 y% V7 H+ F! K" w / T; P$ h1 K4 [I am using Mozilla in my Linux and IE in my XP. Besides the muti-tab feature, they are almost the same.

( t0 D B% g [; k不管什么原因，只要安全就好。。。你说得对，用得多的软件，漏洞多。但是，如果Ｆｉｒｅｆｏｘ相对安全（或者说黑客琢磨得少），何尝不是它的一个长处？
