I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. It's nothing about ActiveX technology. There is nothing that is bulletproof. 1 o: O4 o& ]1 ^& t+ M c$ { \4 l3 t9 Y
So just choose based on your own needs.
For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder: % m! O7 e# ~3 V3 y' V/ c k/ P2 s( Y! }/ W0 ?! p) l7 X
Documents and Setting\(your user name)\cookie or folder system32 to see what kind of adware\sypware already in your system ' X' y N8 |- e

All of them are just cookies. If you do not like the activeX, in XP, you can just disable it in the IE configuration. 4 @3 S2 G- F O4 G( d% a/ T ; a" ^6 {3 v4 i: l& e; G, G# f4 h5 cI am using Mozilla in my Linux and IE in my XP. Besides the muti-tab feature, they are almost the same.

不管什么原因，只要安全就好。。。你说得对，用得多的软件，漏洞多。但是，如果Ｆｉｒｅｆｏｘ相对安全（或者说黑客琢磨得少），何尝不是它的一个长处？
