I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. It's nothing about ActiveX technology. There is nothing that is bulletproof. % @6 Z4 N" }7 O2 {+ ~/ B/ X+ k: F* V% n2 T! ~' A
So just choose based on your own needs.
For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder:/ h2 m2 o' S4 y

All of them are just cookies. If you do not like the activeX, in XP, you can just disable it in the IE configuration. # H! V5 Y) {; L5 ?0 G+ ]: [! d- a ' I! x- }9 d' m6 a/ N sI am using Mozilla in my Linux and IE in my XP. Besides the muti-tab feature, they are almost the same.

不管什么原因，只要安全就好。。。你说得对，用得多的软件，漏洞多。但是，如果Ｆｉｒｅｆｏｘ相对安全（或者说黑客琢磨得少），何尝不是它的一个长处？
