I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. So just choose based on your own needs.
For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder: ' ?! Y' {) W4 A8 a! B) R* Z# O/ B1 W, Q5 W+ @
Documents and Setting\(your user name)\cookie or folder system32 to see what kind of adware\sypware already in your system ; H! m+ R: @8 e; |& N5 d }% G" @6 X6 F7 x3 o! _8 I

4 E' T+ A) ?& v& G7 aAll of them are just cookies. If you do not like the activeX, in XP, you can just disable it in the IE configuration. - o# `7 _9 x% G7 @% R8 P3 _1 G" w7 @/ ?4 H& R$ n
I am using Mozilla in my Linux and IE in my XP. Besides the muti-tab feature, they are almost the same.
