I do not think Firefox is faster than IE. There are more viruses to IE just because it's more popular and Firefox is pretty new. If FireFox occupies 80% of the market, who knows what will happen. So just choose based on your own needs.
For whatever reason, Firefox should be safer, I am not saying faster though. But spyware/adware can make your computor very slow. Check you folder: 6 s" _: P3 n0 F# X5 ~ . D7 H! Why you call all stuff under ***\***\cookie spyware/adware? 2 k& \6 s, d0 z2 g+ g 1 | {6 U9 _. MAll of them are just cookies. If you do not like the activeX, in XP, you can just disable it in the IE configuration.6 @) e* a6 T) k E7 }+ M+ S- @9 W

I am using Mozilla in my Linux and IE in my XP. Besides the muti-tab feature, they are almost the same.
前几天用过firefox，没有所说的那么快， ( v2 ~' S2 [; m) }) U7 O同意五楼的观点，IE，Windows 的用户太多，才发现那么多漏洞、安全隐患。& Z A5 \- N6 c6 L4 b. F
网络上，安全只是相对的，无论什么操作系统、浏览器、防火墙，仅仅能给我们提供一点点屏障，挡住的仅仅是像我这样的棒槌。
