/ V. Y3 z& R5 J8 p# gAgree. In Edmonton, the employer won't offer you a higher salary because you've graduated from U of T instead of U of A. If you are doing pure research, the starting salary will be even lower. As far as I know, the majority of the starting salary for a Chinese (engineering background) with a Master's degree (Canadian degree, not MBA) ranges from $55,000 to $68,000. However, you can get a big salary jump after you get your P.Eng. and change your job. If you choose to stay with the same employer after receiving yoru P.Eng., your raise will be fairly limited. |
