Interior Designer

Responsible for activities related to design, space planning, layout, and; I0 V8 ?8 b+ T, ^- y. C% g

Coordinates and implements detailed space plans to address customer space+ c1 s6 v7 l/ L+ Y8 N6 K
requirements within allotted time and budget constraints. This position reports

2 ^& d2 H9 U. G1 j3 L/ mESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may

furniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to

6 a4 u! f5 v* I3 a1 e6 w7 q2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,+ c- k3 ?2 X# I' X& g9 R
product pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built) U: p* Y2 ^9 l" p; E1 p
drawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
3 O1 b) E" I6 Vspecification and installation.% m! Q2 s8 t& N2 K" Z) k
3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning) f* U( n7 p" V
meetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these

4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering8 l0 g% v. ^8 H+ o; U) r
routine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
' F- m/ M1 ] d) z5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction8 J5 o- K: E: |9 b
plans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job8 T0 H: a7 W, Q( x. o9 R5 T! k0 o
site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence% D7 s. e/ U8 z3 ?; c4 d
checks.

& Design (A&D) drawing sets.7 E. I, k- h! L t5 i
7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,( f; _: V1 t6 u, {9 I
assures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes
! m4 b7 P- n0 sand revisions.# x2 ?% K5 w9 f) Z; @( R
8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job% {8 p, v' F! A3 l5 N
inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
/ x. j' {) K2 [- f3 c9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.4 P* o6 n4 y2 z
10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a7 x+ V3 O4 X8 x9 M( [
related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and6 a2 [0 T: g! F, H& k$ o+ X( M
experience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general4 x* _) i0 D& o+ w5 ~
knowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.' V+ G8 c2 O+ \: |6 U& G& A
