• help complete up-to-date chemical lists for all laboratories within the department+ W& R; v) F6 V; g: L% N
• collect and obtain MSDS’s for all chemicals7 a1 p9 }& c! r3 k# V
• make sure all chemicals are properly labelled and stored
/ D/ S! l. |4 ~3 F8 G• proper disposal of all unwanted chemicals$ V# Y, n& b/ y/ m
• finalize chemical lists and then duplicate and label all MSDS’s for distribution to OH&S for the MSDS on line system.

) K& }2 l4 a# e+ U/ v2. Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s) and Hazard Assessments (HA’s)$ d1 l x& r& P7 a( P+ A: o: |7 ?
• help update the department SOP’s and HA’s. This will include verification of existing SOP’s and HA’s and tracking any that are needed.2 z; g/ [; C- I" q% c) S9 |

• help develop a tracking system for adding or removal of chemicals as well as continual updating and verification of SOP’s and HA’s

This is a two-month summer position, preferably commencing the middle of June, which will pay an hourly wage commensurate with education and experience. Final candidates will be asked to undergo a security screening.' n9 m1 K8 T j0 W
