7 e& [) Q" N" s/ V& Q% l& GIn February of 2008, an anonymous donor had donated $1 million to the town of Beaumont towards the construction of the town’s new Aquatic and Fitness Complex. The identity of the donor was revealed on April 15, 2008 to be S&D International Group INC. This has been the largest donation ever received in the town’s history.

& ^3 z- @2 z3 X# wS&D International Group INC. is a land development firm which has been very active in the Capital region and globally. It has offices in Hong Kong, Dubai, Singapore, and Fort McMurray. The head office is in Edmonton. They are a syndication and development company whose goal is to maximize land owners’ assets in real estate.

The new Complex will be approximately 40,000 sq ft will boast a six-lane 25m pool, a large leisure pool, a whirlpool, water slide, steam room, sauna, 10,000 sq ft fitness equipment room, fitness studio, shower and change rooms, meeting and entertainment rooms, playroom, viewing concourse and ample parking.

/ ~) }& W0 h+ |. s; ^Residents of Beaumont, a family-oriented town 9km east of the Edmonton international airport, are looking forward to the Complex’s completion in late 2009 when it will provide additional recreation for young people and adults. The seniors are also looking forward to enjoying time with young family members by participating in activities which will maintain mobility and health for the entire community.
