Duties
0 `& a# D: Q' R% lWorks within the Network Team to plan, implement, and maintain network services for the University Libraries, supporting the computing requirements of approximately 300 library staff and a wide range of electronic services offered to library clientele
3 e7 {6 q8 V) x R: _6 Q. q( l' c1 fResponsible for specialization in workstation image management+ z' _8 q9 i, z- V
Responsible for system administration of assigned Windows 2000 servers/ l# T) y! M+ y* ]% F: o7 e
Provides help desk and on-call (after hours) support
& e b* G; p6 v! [' SWorks within the Web Team to implement and support web-based applications to provide access to library resources and services and web-based productivity applications for staff" N' y* A x: o' f2 k( `' I8 |6 f
Edits and troubleshoots web content using Content Management System3 a! [3 v3 V3 w$ x- W
Develops programming using Cold Fusion and PHP
1 z n% X& \: v* O5 x; {Develops user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript and CSS7 M$ ]# n7 G8 R/ f
Designs, develops and implements MySQL relational databases t7 h6 c! y7 o
Qualifications
! D. | B% g" s% W/ RTwo year post-secondary diploma in a technology support program0 J# q# g2 e" w' z. f# M$ ]
Recent completion of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Z+ }+ V9 F( |
Minimum three years experience working in a technology support group for a large corporate network with hands-on experience managing Windows 2000 servers and client workstations! z4 \( X: e/ D, X
Experience implementing and supporting interactive web-based applications using web programming languages and middleware applications (including Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL)& [: @) V( j6 E+ D* n
Strong analytical, diagnostic, written and oral communication skills
