Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.

- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team% Z5 R+ H6 p, m2 ]

+ Y% \2 |$ F5 M* S- post secondary diploma 1 c/ Z, [& Y! j! q4 |2 Q
- customer service and office clerical experiences
% c" N5 c+ l2 o6 j. L8 H5 @- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

4 }! E, U: E% i) C' U1 n7 A- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community1 N2 ]6 B; f" `! S" L0 N' x% W9 \- s
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
/ @- h; _# v& W, K$ f' _- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services7 y2 Y; |0 A2 v7 \7 F8 i2 W
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
$ r, I0 n/ ~" i d f& _- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members9 C8 T; w' q5 t9 p) U
- update ASSIST website" P5 u2 K6 U+ _% a+ j$ t
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre- f, y- V% q4 a0 h2 Z" k9 @; s5 x
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
+ g- d4 ?( E+ S% q e# A6 ?- assist in writing proposal for ISP
5 }) l9 e' ?8 v- write quarterly and final reports for ISP) L( `. p ?1 V+ T7 L+ W
- hold regular meetings with ISP team

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)- I; u% g; W6 ]) ^' M

! Q, m, y; H# M$ i- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
! }5 p1 W0 G4 |- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
9 _- T4 B8 C4 G0 [' f: U+ x) P- experience in community work and immigrant services. V% n3 R+ H' K* f, B. F
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset$ O5 J' e/ e9 t3 b
