- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly." V+ M9 U3 l/ ?/ v+ T/ ~, u5 _
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker( q: b5 q$ b q
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

6 G s4 d! c. F m- post secondary diploma

Job Description
) P5 N$ l. B$ n& C' v+ ^0 {- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
: L* o% {3 u* h' V* @& B: R- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services+ U+ m, z5 u% m( d; L
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services8 w* ]0 ~! J* j4 p% H
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
: L( o* _6 b" b# y; G$ _% \- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members- `; D' w& O, ~) e0 u" z
- update ASSIST website
% U. [" N7 i+ a/ ^. A! I# u7 M- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre% h: Y: y4 V& {2 T
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services$ N$ s& ^% o) x+ B+ c% V* g
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
" U8 H7 X- L# ]$ _7 \, [ Y- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
' K" T. i9 u+ o, D- hold regular meetings with ISP team6 T3 Z' m6 G9 s( ^& i8 E
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)* f0 g/ x2 l3 g4 s* j

Qualifications" a2 o* A; Z7 F, R5 S/ _
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education 4 i3 F1 M1 _& ?$ @; }5 h
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills4 d3 F4 J1 N! g$ B0 h& H/ B/ w
- experience in community work and immigrant services
7 v& G6 o% k) ]& W, _5 I- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
