Job Description
- g% P% U! ?/ `# P* k) J6 A X- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly. z0 p% {2 k3 `, T1 Q5 ~, h
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker1 J6 S* g( t2 M; V7 S
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

- post secondary diploma
! Q0 r8 A( ^2 y- L: o3 L- customer service and office clerical experiences3 A& g$ E$ q0 l! c
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community6 w5 v, P- L: P- I; P/ L9 e9 {
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services5 r9 c8 w) Y# u& A; E0 A* e
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services0 {& V! b4 ^, L7 j6 L/ `
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
& b# z) f/ u' e J' d- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
+ T# r. `' T+ B* O1 {+ E" X! P- update ASSIST website0 u) \( b( i. r" t
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre K2 B1 K0 f1 e' J9 J
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
* m! s j& k; [ U- assist in writing proposal for ISP y( J) l7 S% _ F: f9 t" b
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP/ A h* D0 B1 i% K* Y4 S7 k
- hold regular meetings with ISP team! j& X& Q* i3 i
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
" C, o1 [4 E& o. L) e& F- good oral and written Chinese and English skills' ^9 Z7 A! s8 G V
- experience in community work and immigrant services
