$ Y6 b- w6 D6 ~- E$ b3 g8 g0 h5 P, ZThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for! j$ c4 M/ O9 Z" \: h |$ v1 c7 Y
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

3 W2 r& l! P& ], ~6 R1 j8 W; q. a4 RTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
$ K9 l3 ^ ^7 d" d8 k! L) Jof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different& ?& X! M( B6 Y; X
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.9 X7 D% s! R4 a' P8 f
* {' S% ?; [' m SCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
