This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
% {$ o- ]; v! o$ ^2 m) e# _3 Ybecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.# O) G ? Y& x% E

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials' d' k: B3 E$ t
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different6 ^1 {: {8 p$ e
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.0 A# n/ [6 E! m- D; q8 x/ z9 h3 [
