EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association,就是我们加入的那个协会)在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。

; u4 P1 D" o8 u) i7 V; wThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
& K, s) y* K1 n+ t- _: Fbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.0 [; H4 t/ z; a4 h0 u" X( x4 U- f
0 }; M' ]6 r' Y1 l/ @% hTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
. K" h0 w+ X- Tof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different& P3 w7 p/ ~4 O/ s
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.* q4 e: ^: v, v& q5 [- ?0 G
