EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association，就是我们加入的那个协会）在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。

时间：上午9点至12点理论培训，下午1点至4点实习。

4 v1 k Z/ V* |/ J2 NThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for) z+ q% N5 |3 s
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.+ k4 ~* ^) l5 f% x! Y
1 @( O; c6 _0 @/ `9 u" VTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials. N' t7 G" i2 ]2 x4 _& i
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different+ S. g1 u3 o. j0 @
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.) z$ u* w R1 D4 g, S" R# Z

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
