This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for. W, m9 m3 R) e. l R6 ]( w
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

! x* y$ A/ t; X) k% y* x- `Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials7 y5 l, ~: J8 s+ d2 i; `6 l2 P
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different `. K6 ?& @. S' z& K1 G
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.* |; a; R: H3 b7 ]

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
