# T6 T( @) G( U2 |& d& aThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for; y- `% s- q( x T& Z& k
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials4 K* d2 W/ f' V) ]5 P3 ]
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different. t" H0 Z, K- L( F
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.& B) K! r E+ l" Z0 ]
