/ @9 Q: l5 |! ^& Q' @9 Y7 Y( i( aThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
\! S1 J% w. t0 ?becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.7 j& \7 M* S% w$ D0 e
6 o0 y9 u# b1 v' s% ~8 T, z9 YTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials" y. F1 Z+ C% h$ r+ ?# I
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different1 |8 [' c4 N/ X3 d& ]' ]
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events. {( j& x( C/ W
