This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
4 E8 N i2 u; v9 M$ @( R+ hbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them. t8 z) Q$ }$ K% d
& c, R5 P# g; r3 | r4 {Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials5 U, B# F0 e3 d6 H9 X$ ^3 [
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different7 ?: [! Y' a: o% j9 s! K
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.% j/ W- F: l+ Z9 d e) x/ T

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
