This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for7 Q( X* s! j1 r1 n
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them. b! w7 [% C" d
, `2 {9 G9 m4 @) O- h" eTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials8 m" t" ?% c3 m/ ], U
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different
$ H' n# g. c- l- s, D+ a0 ecertified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events. N" [4 b/ ?& q0 F4 E( W. R$ h+ ^

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
