EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association，就是我们加入的那个协会）在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。2 ^' s% h; z0 v
9 c" J1 ~5 o% X时间：上午9点至12点理论培训，下午1点至4点实习。+ [) h! Q" f; A* `+ K" h

This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for+ R& }0 K+ J9 X9 V" H+ q6 k; A# m
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

; [" e2 Z& I; G, uTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials, O% P; P2 w# q
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different1 _" L8 b; \" x0 l2 I* X
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.
