EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association，就是我们加入的那个协会）在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。6 q4 l+ o; j+ ?

( A p: Q& @# O2 T) s) b9 {This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
) v7 D0 P8 T; t3 P" I4 `0 [9 l1 Abecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
& ~# j( x7 \" b' {of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different3 O& W/ D) V+ v% }, D% B" F
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.% H N- `/ V* }+ D

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
