EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association,就是我们加入的那个协会)在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。

! Y+ Z+ P( g) ^; v$ ]7 yThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for$ C, ` p9 B& X$ ?4 h, c, D
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.' L2 c _+ p. R( _

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials( k! ]( t1 A* e& J& J) }( H2 m
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different
$ E( M7 P" I2 l U3 y! D7 icertified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.3 u n+ d9 n& [' S% K

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
