Description:
2 t4 ^1 n% L" R. Y' j V" NThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for/ ^- _2 I/ k; `4 h2 R- n
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

3 ~- E+ b" s# y2 t* RTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials% i. J4 p. u+ \- @) o1 S$ q: X5 y
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different! i1 q- W& l% Y+ k$ N
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.
