EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association,就是我们加入的那个协会)在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。+ T( C/ ^2 v* ]0 ^

时间:上午9点至12点理论培训,下午1点至4点实习。3 x. C7 D% _+ G& W# x4 p

This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
% e3 N8 O9 R" J% ybecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.4 @9 H- b9 j% _* l1 I

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials# k/ I1 R3 V' x6 I$ A. t v+ w
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different# E+ z @3 [6 I. \
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.2 t1 X" \; a5 k

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
