7 L4 g. T! y+ w& q3 lContext: The Edmonton Social Planning Council is a not for profit organization that provides leadership to the community and its organizations in addressing social issues and effecting changes to social policy.

6 e# z# G6 n; DThis position is responsible for: managing/promotion the ESPC Resource Library (including compiling & purchasing resources, retrieving/analyzing reference materials, promoting library materials & services, etc.); consulting with community partners about their social research priorities and needs (helping to inform the creation of new research partnerships and projects).7 [& W/ i: G/ _0 c2 h! `5 X
4 R) o: P+ T# y- P0 KPLUS: assisting with ongoing research projects (in particular, data and information retrieval and analysis, and report preparation) and various other responsibilities including, but not limited to, assisting in website maintenance.2 }) _6 r9 U% P6 r

GThe successful applicant will: hold a post secondary degree (or related experience) in the social sciences or a related field; have research & analytical skills/experience; possess excellent written/verbal communication skills; be well organized & have confident computer skills.1 D; X' U/ W. `; I9 E

PLUS: able to work independently & within a team environment; have a keen interest in social issues & a desire to make a difference through one's work.
