ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
' K; N( ?& I* \9 w8 Mtechnology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.

+ i' d4 R! p4 H: Y+ Q! yQualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
+ H% A. W$ k2 l+ M* ~obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
9 E6 E. c8 x) b3 pfrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
/ R- L) m1 C/ I: krequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
$ ~' m1 s' h- c% \& |cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
- w5 g) c! M. a0 F9 Eover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
; a9 s% l0 a" M1 ?+ c' ris a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
