烤蛋糕

• 1/2 cup butter 7 x4 [, S% g1 a$ w7 R
• 1 cup sugar # B3 {0 P' A8 d2 X" R
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (if you like the flavor, otherwise, none)/ m: g# F4 l0 G
• 1 1/2 cups sifted flour or all purpose flour (former is better)' ? U0 T5 f) o' v
• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder # a+ m: a% u2 ^. T
• 4 eggs, well beaten

Beat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition. " B0 D! `; w0 M# D
Turn into greased and floured 8-inch tube pan or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
0 s; Q3 l- Z u6 ]0 z# g" e0 ^Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.

这是yellow cake,我最喜欢的,又简单。ingredients 我一般比较严格执行,否则变味,但是我通常要把糖的用量减至3/4到2/3,洋人用糖量太大,太甜了。但如果你认为cake mix的甜度适合你的口味,就用上述的量。
% l$ m8 m. q. Z! dbeating,要用mixer, 一般的$10左右的hand mixer 就可以。烤蛋糕,面包,或做土豆泥等都用得上。
