As the Corporate Financial Co-ordinator within the Corporate Accounting and Reporting office of the Finance Branch, you will lead the year-end reporting functions within the City as well as the operating fund corporate accounting, and guide the development of related policy, procedures, and strategies. This includes:$ K+ v( X( n2 }+ b% L/ U# ~
$ M7 e4 C( O0 z$ F& f· Coordinating the completion of the annual consolidated financial statements, the Provincial municipal information return, and other financial reporting for audit.

3 D1 }+ \. n \) p& x· Providing advice within the organization and to related Boards and Authorities on options for resolution of financial and reporting issues.; ]$ ~% s& }: ^! U

JOB REQUIREMENTS:! c- o% x, J6 j: y# }

· University Degree majoring in accounting or finance, and a Professional Accounting Designation.

# T! R9 [0 k# E' U. G5 D· A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in the financial accounting and reporting field.

· Experience with complex computerized financial systems. Familiarity with SAP would be advantageous.

· Experience in preparing complex, consolidated financial statements for audit.
