1 P$ T. ~8 m+ \$ gThe Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at the University
- |( y7 e J2 ] of Alberta will be holding a Spring Festival Evening Party around the
( y( [# \* d8 k$ ^ eve of Chinese lunar New Year to add the diverse community Chinese6 |1 y3 N0 v3 j( }9 V4 u# R
cultural activities. This event is not only a reminder of food, fun and
$ ^- a; \' N, ~ customs, but also a very good opportunity to wipe out our homesickness on+ ]4 [( ~# b7 z# a! H
this broad land. _" a- K- L( k' F
$ `* V! S+ O5 S& N# O6 NWe encourage students and scholars who are interested in performance to
4 n- C- `$ v2 S. f% g$ Q8 W contribute to the evening party by showcasing your abilities and G `8 _7 J. W1 L/ p0 b3 X- p4 \
talents. Although we have no luxurious dressings and professional skills in/ _) s3 P" `% Q2 x+ F9 o) m# \
performing arts, the most critical point we have is our passion to show
7 L5 V; ]$ i1 v3 w% B) h! h9 o) P ourselves such as any topic related to our life and studies in
" {2 S; K3 x M6 D+ G% j Edmonton. Please come and join us to fill up the party. It’s going to be a
# O8 A8 k6 i" g Q) z7 [9 k& _ lot of fun, like what we did before.

As far as your prospective programs are concerned, they can be songs6 j9 ?4 g+ d5 X1 Z4 s4 K8 |
sung by a single singer or multiple singers, song and dance (Ge Wu),
2 L3 D: E ]1 v& M' ~ stand-up comedy (Xiang Sheng), skits (Xiao Pin), drama (Hua Ju) or any
" v+ u/ j8 {8 p; z# j performance with instruments (e.g., piano). It would be great if your
6 A7 T. C) @ H& d z% D program could reflect our society. If you have a play for skits, stand-up4 a' @/ ]* j& E
comedy or drama to present, please contact CSSA for performance since* v$ i7 `% E# ?+ Q( U* s- P0 } e( c
CSSA executives want to have a show collectively.* E Z+ a' K: @# O( z# ^% h" N
( s2 K( r& @8 S V+ i' f
Meanwhile, a host is needed for the evening party. Volunteers are also
) e& D# R/ @- d4 m% p! Z! d on demand to work on the stage to assist lighting and audio system
$ J5 z# e/ P6 F H control.
