Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment, Immigration & Industry, the community development worker coordinates workshops seminars and activities. This individual reports to the ISP program manager and provides support to all members of the ISP team.

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community3 ^ b0 _9 C7 z8 I9 J
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services

- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies

- coordinate and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- assist in special events coordinating: Open House, AGM, Volunteer Appreciation, etc.

- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)' e6 `: t- a! j" o

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
! {8 I) T. Z8 x9 d) {. h4 I {- good oral and written Chinese and English skills* g% j. i3 N; i# b; t
- experience in community work and immigrant services& @; l) B/ F( c
- ability to coordinate workshops and seminars4 z% B% E& U- U, t# | o. Q6 m5 z
