Senior Agency/Program Manager

  [1 Z7 O+ c% }) h•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals' A/ P# X- A5 R: F1 Y1 D, V' v
•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board
, z) i: D5 b, S% K•        assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation  ?3 @9 U  s% {( V1 ~5 {5 m5 R

•        is accountable to meet community expectations and funders’ requirements 1 j) ~* P0 Z0 s* Z) y7 S
•        develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures/ F; Q" R" T" c9 }3 n
•        development and management of the programs budget; E0 S2 \  g7 Q, P
•        develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets

Staff
5 r; k8 \$ C& m5 J; m/ o•        responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff5 L/ a3 m. t# Y  _$ W% [+ Q
•        provide leadership to staff and volunteers1 e& B" B( n* @  C) x
•        provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions- j3 v- T  D/ l7 r/ r( x9 W
•        monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators
) x6 K+ c; K5 T•        provide opportunities for staff development and growth
1 Y( n- @3 j  Z•        meet with staff on regular basis( }9 V8 K8 z7 S* ?7 U
•        build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff$ P! M$ e" k  {4 Q3 @* y( _4 C

7 p! ^0 m! T( }+ |+ n1 {•        overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
5 E+ H7 J& B; Y0 h2 [3 I7 b•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities7 T  b3 g2 o) Z& P* r/ H8 w+ L
•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders
- a3 D) u: g( K3 ]" r- L) K9 s- _7 r•        set program priorities and directions   G( |7 i. `% b/ }
•        identify community and user needs and trends
2 S7 h1 i" r- ]4 e' H4 |- W•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends
4 H! M. e1 z9 `! ^  E! D•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research
4 \; Z+ ^( L# Z' H. e8 l' c•        maintenance of appropriate reporting
' g7 B& }* n' |% Q8 l, c' `$ F•        delivery of program or activity to participants as required
+ T4 l$ g. X: \+ _, i: n  w•        build on knowledge of community resources in program development9 Q: a. e" r1 a8 r* I0 c8 [
•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others4 p2 X% k* x' F

; J; Z! f+ N7 L$ I2 i& o) rExternal Relations
# i9 D, y7 L3 h6 M. r8 @$ H•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities$ ^* l2 }. W5 v
•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders9 B9 ^' a1 X# R, k0 o7 M
•        communicate the value of the organization to the public9 P2 n' H/ ?- x  g7 g) }' L5 g
•        identify community needs and trends5 N* l. {9 G8 l  z/ d7 s
•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups6 D, ]% S# A9 F% F
•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
/ P4 X& Q5 q1 s) \•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.
: f' [- @8 g; f$ i( f* L•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff
& E2 _; G. i# D$ ?8 O$ ^
8 k5 i% h7 A2 ?Qualifications% x7 D1 K) O' e0 L
-        University degree in a related field; 9 k! i/ e! |* c4 ]' A5 J6 ?
-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
8 x3 _( b# [9 ?% a-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
! Q! }) r  F$ t# G* ]$ s: k-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization : D0 ^7 s) H% l. U  u
9 \5 J' c  _5 L  i
Salary/ q- O: r2 j) D4 p8 C7 t* a
-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits $ l% D& m+ c8 d* {# `
0 Q, M/ X3 v6 I; U) `5 q9 T
