                                                                 CSSA Evening Party for 2008 Chinese New Year

The Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at the University of Alberta will be holding a Spring Festival Evening Party around the eve of Chinese lunar New Year to add the diverse community Chinese cultural activities. This event is not only a reminder of food, fun and customs, but also a very good opportunity to wipe out our homesickness on this broad land.

: e* @. x$ _5 T8 DWe encourage students and scholars who are interested in performance to contribute to the evening party by showcasing your abilities and talents. Although we have no luxurious dressings and professional skills in performing arts, the most critical point we have is our passion to show ourselves such as any topic related to our life and studies in Edmonton. Please come and join us to fill up the party. It’s going to be a lot of fun, like what we did before.

As far as your prospective programs are concerned, they can be songs sung by a single singer or multiple singers, song and dance (Ge Wu), stand-up comedy (Xiang Sheng), skits (Xiao Pin), drama (Hua Ju) or any performance with instruments (e.g., piano). It would be great if your program could reflect our society. If you have a play for skits, stand-up comedy or drama to present, please contact CSSA for performance since CSSA executives want to have a show collectively.

Meanwhile, a host is needed for the evening party. Volunteers are also on demand to work on the stage to assist lighting and audio system control.
