. O: b5 F8 Y/ u0 WThe Heavy Oil and Oil Sands business unit seeks two junior technologists to be part of their experimental research team.

These qualified engineering technologists are required to participate in the design, set-up, and maintenance of laboratory tasks related to Heavy Oil and Oil Sands experimental activities. Duties include laboratory sample preparation and analysis; experimental design and setup; instrumentation; and data acquisition and analysis.

Candidates require a Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering Technology or equivalent.  Demonstrated laboratory skills, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and experience with Microsoft Office are required.  Occasional lifting of heavy samples is required; training in First Aid and WHMIS would be an asset.  

These positions offer a comprehensive benefits package in a stimulating work environment, and are included in the bargaining unit. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Final candidates will be asked to undergo a security screening.
