  X$ _, Z% T( M* N: [, DPh.D. or Master's fellowships are available for suitable applicants who are
enthusiastic about research on Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) systems
$ P6 @, f0 [( land circuits at Memorial University of Newfoundland, NL, Canada.
Potential projects are in areas of VLSI computer-aided design and analog/digital
integrated system/circuit design.

) m' L; i# M7 s" y! Y5 e* NThe qualified applicants will meet the following conditions:
(a) Master’s or B.S. degree, background in microelectronics, computer engineering, electronics, electrical engineering, computer science, or related areas.
: s; f+ a$ Z9 x(b) GPA 3.2/4.0 (80% if percentage grades used) or better.
7 f0 z( _+ f' v( N3 u5 o) r(c) TOEFL: paper-based score of 550 (or higher)/computer-based score of 213 (or higher).
(d) A keen interest in algorithm design or circuit/system design.
